August Blooms hugs to you, I’m so sorry you have to go through that. Did they give you some options for what happens next? I don’t want to dump a bunch of stuff on you but have been there and had to make some decisions so let me know if you want/need more info. Short version: you don’t have to just wait for things to happen on their own if you don’t want, hopefully your doctor gives you some options.

cythe I tested the morning of our beta with DD (9 dp 5dt = 14 dpo) and I didn’t see shit on the wondfo so I tossed it in anger and went to get my beta in a sour mood. While we were waiting for the call, DH fished the wondfo out of the trash and saw a squinter. Then we got the call: 70! All that to say, 9 days is early to see something which you already know. 😂

August Blooms I’m so sorry friend. (hugs) I hope your OB presents you with some options and you can make a decision you feel comfortable with. I have been there and it’s sucks. Please be kind to yourself.

cythe she was a 2BB which is not bad, but not great. Hatching is a very good sign I think! Anyway for that IVF round we started with 7 eggs and she was the only one who even made it to day 5. I have my fingers and toes crossed! When is your beta? I will be stalking the board looking for updates that day. cythe,Hatching is definitely a good thing and cell formation on that blast looks really good too! I'll spare you my case history. Keeping my fingers crossed!

curmudgeon we also started school last Thursday. Apart from not eating his lunch at all, he seems to be doing ok and told me today he had a great day!

So DS had a great day and my day started of bad. So we had a time trial run with DS to try to catch the school bus but he hypothetically missed it cos he eats too slow and I was adamant to get him to eat his breakfast proper since he just refuses to eat his lunch. We got to school in time but I was pedaling super fast so we won't be late and I was panting. On the way home, my right pedal broke and scratched up my leg. Due to the broken pedal, I had to shift gears going up hill and my derailleurs seized then my bike chain fell off also to top it all off, my v-brakes are unbalanced and rubbing on my back wheel I was just waiting to get a flat tire too. In other words all parts of my bike is broken. Anyways I managed to at least fix the pedal and got the chain back on but it's now stuck on the lowest gear possible so I look like I am pedaling super fast but not really going fast. All this and I could have just hopped in the car but I am a real sucker for punishment and I'll do it again tomorrow. Anyways today was productive and I got the front porch cleaned, the kitchen venthood cleaned and also cleaned the grill and tomorrow I am going to scrub the back patio. Trying to make the most of my time off.

They did give me the options over the phone yesterday but it’s actually started on its own last night. I guess they will monitor? The OB should have the referral and give me a call today for an appointment.

Thanks for the support guys, it really means a lot. iIt’s a lot of mixed complicated feelings to process at the moment. I truly thought I was in the clear since I made it to almost 11 weeks, although they didn’t tell me how far along the baby was. I’m really curious to find out if my missing IUD is the cause or maybe I’ll never know.
Anyways I still have a mountain of stuff to unpack and organize, DH is negotiating his salary for this new job and of course our basement reno is starting today with a guy coming to jackhammer up cement for plumbing. When it rains, it really pours right? I think I may call in sick to work tomorrow and hide under the covers.

August Blooms I’m so, so sorry. I think taking a sick day is absolutely called for - you do whatever you need to do right now. I know you have a lot going on, but it’s okay to take time for yourself to process everything too. I can’t believe they made you wait all weekend. I am just heartbroken for you. Be kind to yourself, and big hugs from the other side of the world. I’ll be thinking about you.

cythe Oh no ☹️ I’m so, so sorry. Do you have to go in for a beta? Perhaps it could be a case of late implantation? I forget how many dpo you are. I’m so sorry for the negative test - big hugs.

Well it happened, I had a flat tire today. Luckily it was after I dropped DS off at school. Also luckily we only have a dozen tire tubes so I got it replaced and was ready to roll out this afternoon to go get him. Tomorrow I am expecting to blow the other tire.

Hey guys so I did call in sick but I didn’t get my day off. My miscarriage got very intense and I had to go to the hospital. I’m fine now but it was long and exhausting day since our emergency departments are the basically the worst. Details are under the spoiler, sorry super long and obviously possibly triggering. So the bleeding got so intense at home it woke me up around 1:30. I went to the ER at 2:30. I was going through 2-4 giant hospital pads an hour. The ER doctor wasn’t terrible but he implied that it was totally normal to be bleeding that much 🙄 when I asked about the possibility that I was hemorrhaging because I was losing that much so fast. According to the OB what I experienced happens but is only a small percentage of miscarriages. I had retained a small bit of tissue according to the ultrasound so they wanted to do a D&C, this was finally around 11 am I was told this. Then they put the IV in and my blood pressure plummeted and I almost passed out. But they got me awake again, I’m not afraid of needles so I’m not sure what happened.
All the ER’s were booked for scheduled surgeries which they only bump in case of someone dying. So they told me it would be around 3-5 depending on how those scheduled surgeries go. So basically I was waiting around in a room with other people waiting for surgeries or to be admitted. They actually got me up to pre op just before 3 and it was super quick. I was awake from the anesthesia around 3:45 but had to hang around for a bit in post longer in op because the nurse put the oxytocin drip on super low.
The bleeding is almost gone which is a relief, I feel better this morning. It was a terrible experience having miscarriage in a shared hospital washroom but at least now the physical part is over. The OB and the nurses taking care of me were super nice and empathetic.
[\Spoiler]
ETA And they still haven’t found the IUD! They ultrasound tech at the hospital had a good look and it’s not embedded in my uterus. So it either came out or is floating around in my abdomen. The OB at the hospital said I could follow up with her to investigate. I really want to know where it went.
