I worked at school till 6pm (with a quick trip to bring the girls back to school so I could finish) and they are now seated in front of the tv with dinner so not my finest parenting moment but the planning for a substitute teacher takes a lot of work. Picture trying to explain to someone all the minute details of your job from start to finish for just a random one or two days but you don’t know the person and how much experience, or lack thereof, they have with your job functions/technology/people skills/etc. Couple that to it is only day 8 of the school year so the kids don’t really know the routine yet (and I’ve got some live wires this year 😬) and it makes for a lot of stress and work.
However, I’m actually really looking forward to DD2s appt and testing tomorrow. I hope we get some answers and I’m excited to spend a full day 1:1 with just DD2!

I’ve never had their raspberry iced tea but that sounds good! We don’t go often bc I think their food is gross but gosh the kids love it.

danvers Good luck at the immunology appointment today! I hope they are able to shed some light on what’s been going on, and give you some answers/suggestions moving forward! CoachTsWife I knew you’d empathize with the whole weaning thing. It’s something everyone who breastfeeds has to go through, and I know I’ll be fine, but I’m still emotional about it. Good luck with your weaning process as well - and all of the ups and downs that go with it. doodlemommy Great news on your washing machine, and you do really sound like super woman! Plus, aren’t you in your 3rd tri now? I’m impressed you have so much energy to be doing all this stuff!

It was 3 hours of appts today on various floors and wings of the children’s hospital. DD2 did fantastic all things considered. We ended our visit with a blood draw for 6 vials so that was fun. 😬 her elevated white blood cell count is what keeps concerning them so this to determine more info on that. We should know results in 1-2 weeks.
Just the two of us spent a couple hours at the zoo afterwards because it’s all of 2 blocks from the hospital and DD2 was in heaven. She loves animals so hopefully this made up for the blood draw earlier!

So it’s been a day of ups and downs. I am ordering sushi and watching Million Dollar listing while DH wrangles the kids. DH has a job offer, we have the keys to the new house. The bad is I had my ultrasound and they didn’t tell me anything. Normally the techs will show you the baby and tell you stuff. The tech was very chatty at the beginning, then it really tapered off. I tried to get more info out of the receptionist to make my 1st trimester screening appointment and she didn’t confirm the miscarriage but basically said I should talk to my midwife. So I’m waiting to hear back, they will hopefully call tomorrow. I really want to bury myself under the covers but shits gotta get done. The worst part is I told my real estate agent today since I figured everything is fine.

August Blooms oh my goodness ((hugs)) because you have every right to feel like you should stay under the covers but also the feeling of life keeps going too. How soon can you talk with your midwife?? The first trimester is a complete mindfuck and I hope it nothing. if you don’t hear anything today then I hope you can at least get some sleep tonight. Big big internet ((hugs))

If it weren’t for the crazy baby movements and not being able to bend over I would honestly barely know I was pregnant. I was exhausted in first tri but have felt really good since then. Fingers crossed the next 10 weeks are good too

I’m sorry August Blooms, that sounds terrible. It sucks that they didn’t say anything at all. I know they aren’t allowed to give a lot of information but it would be nice for them to give something at least. I hope your midwife gets back to you quickly. Big hugs.

August Blooms Oh no! I was so sorry to read your post, and I’m really surprised they don’t give clarification to the patient right away. I agree with what cythe said - that just sounds cruel to make you wait. Do you know when you will hear from the midwife? Thinking about you - I’m so sorry you are in this situation. Hugs.

Still no word from my midwives. The receptionist isn’t in on Fridays which I forgot... I should have called yesterday to give a heads up but I wasn’t thinking straight. Anyhoo, left a message, at the Latest I’ll know Monday. Hopefully one of the midwives on call will check the results and the messages over the weekend.
I’ve been keeping busy at the new house doing some cleaning and I need to pack more stuff since the movers come tomorrow but I just want to nap.

cythe squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! That’s a nice looking blast too. My DD was a so-so graded 5 day transfer. 😆 Ive been meaning to respond to this, so apologies for taking so long. This is our lowest rated embryo (and last), so thanks for the anecdote about your DD. I know we dont know a lot about embryo rates and therefore the difference between okay and excellent looking embryos doesnt mean a whole lot. That said, it feels bad to bank a lot of hope on your "lowest rated embryo". Anyway, all that to say thank you

cythe she was a 2BB which is not bad, but not great. Hatching is a very good sign I think! Anyway for that IVF round we started with 7 eggs and she was the only one who even made it to day 5. I have my fingers and toes crossed! When is your beta? I will be stalking the board looking for updates that day.

Like an idiot i tested this morning (9dpo) and if i squint just right and hold it in natural light there might be a shadow of a line. Mostly im annoyed that i tested at 9 dpo 😂

Today is DS1’s first day of school and I am already itching to know how he’s doing. I feel like K didn’t really count since he was at our church’s private school with my mom right there in the office. Now he’s at a huge new school all on his own. At least the school is new to everyone.

So they didn’t find a heartbeat at the ultrasound. So now I’m just waiting for the OB clinic to call me back and to miscarry I guess.
