I think J is going through another leap. And/or teething. He didn't eat anything for dinner last night and cried through most of bedtime but somehow managed to sleep from 7:20 to 7AM, the latest and longest he has ever slept in his life. I did give him a pacifier and motrin because he was so bad but we've had mixed results with pacifiers before so I don't *think* that was it. He was still grumpy as heck in the morning though. A couple of more days until leap 9 is over. This one was horrible. I made sure I had so many spa appointments right around bedtime when we were on the cruise. DH didn’t catch on until like day 4...lol! 😂😂

He is still definitely teething though but he has been mostly pretty good all weekend.

So I bought Cosco Scenera car seat to use in our second car and I can't get the thing to install tightly with the seatbelt. I don't know what the heck I am doing wrong. I'm gonna try the LATCH installation but I'm not feeling too optimistic. I really wanted to like this car seat. It's so light to travel with and cheap.
@starzia did you figure out your spare car seat situation?

My oldest has lost her mind. Screaming because she didn't want to go outside. Honestly she just needed a nap. I left her screaming in her room. The other two are wrestling in the grass. Whatever.

Dolphins are little bastards. Hell no to 'assisting' me in child birth.

Dolphins are little bastards. Hell no to 'assisting' me in child birth. I worry it would bite the baby or do something awful. And a huge no thank you to giving birth in salt water.

No progress on the walking front here. He will stand on his own sometimes but other times we'll ask him if he can stand and he'll say NO. Absolutely no interest in trying to take any steps on his own. He finds the suggestion alone offensive.

He pushed the stroller through most of Chicago. Is he interested in pushing things?

I don't think he is tall enough to push the stroller though. He likes "walking", just not unassisted. Does G walk on his own?

I'm selling a three year old, if anyone is interested.
I'm very excited for pre-school to start next week.

We got our list of items to send to the toddler room. He needs shoes. He's not walking yet, and no local stores have shoes small enough for him. Recs?

My non-walking toddler has been wearing crocs all summer but I saw that See Kai Run has a sale going on and was thinking about ordering a pair. Otherwise I have a few pairs of Stride Rites in the next few sizes that I pick up from the consignment store when I see them. I find kid's shoes to be ridiculously expensive.

I'm going to OUAC on lunch to see what they have.

I'll have to see if he can reach the new umbrella stroller to walk behind it, but I doubt it.

I need to send out birthday invites for DS' birthday in early October, but wobbling on a start time for the party. I'm thinking 3-5pm, so I don't have to serve a full dinner and he *should* be up from his nap by then. I'm really looking forward to this since we didn't do one for his first, but timing seems impossible as some of our friends have to drive for like an hour to get here. Being in a huge metro sucks.
