I slept like crap last night because every time Elle would cough I'd wake up. I'm still not sure if I should call the ped or not.
And we have like no food in our house. Womp.

What does the cough sound like cornpop? How long has she had it? Alina is 11w old today. I go back to work next Tuesday for a few half days, and then full time, 2 weeks from today. If time could just slow down a touch, I’d be grateful.

The weekend was a whirlwind. We drove to my parents after work on Friday to pick up DS---sat in so much traffic, it took 7 hours. The drive back yesterday was better, thankfully.
We are in a heat wave here. Temps in the mid to upper 90s every day. DS started camp today and I'm worried about him being outside all day. Hopefully he will stay cool in the swimming pool and the counselors are good about putting on sunscreen. DH bought a kiddie pool to splash around in with DD in the shade. Our house is nearly 130 years old with no A/C. We have a couple of rooms with window units that are cooler, but they are struggling to keep up with the heat outside. Its going to be a long week.

What does the cough sound like cornpop? How long has she had it? Kind of wet? Not barking or anything like that. Just since yesterday.

Also, when we were down visiting family, my brother announced that he and his GF are expecting. She's been wanting to get married, and he wouldn't, plus she has had a zillion jobs and nothing ever has lasted for more than a month (he has financially supported her 100% since they started dating), so I called it a long time ago that I bet she was going to get PG and then conveniently get both the commitment and a reason to SAH.
So. Called it. Despite all that, he seems pretty happy about it and I am really looking forward to being an auntie and for my kids to have a cousin. Babies are exciting. And I think he will be a good dad.
(also I did the math and I think she is 4w1d...lol. Power to her/them for being comfortable announcing but my PGAL brain is still short circuiting over this)

Exciting morning here. We made it to dd3 well check and got home in time for a super poppy diaper from ds. While changing it dd1 puked all over their bedroom. It’s just lovely. Of course my dad was suppose to take the big two overnight and we are meeting them oot tomorrow for a mini getaway. Any bets on that happening? 😒

Oh dizzycooks fx there's no more puke! Over a hundred here today again so I am staying inside. Also have no food in the house. But I'm excited because I think we'll be buying tickets tonight for my little brothers(12&15) to come visit! 😃

L is still sick and her cough got worse yesterday. I got her in with the NP this afternoon just so they can check her out and listen to her because her cough sounds a little wheezy to me. Poor baby is miserable and keeps spitting up a ton and is having a hard time nursing because she can't stop coughing and then she chokes a little on the milk. I hate when they are sick and this little.

Ugh I'm so sorry about the sick kids polson, cp3 and cornpop. Somehow sickness is extra insulting when it happens over the summer. Like, hello, its JULY. Save that shit for January, universe.

I called the Ped and they said it basically just sounds like a cold. So now I feel a little crazy. But then Elle was like inconsolable a little later, which is very out of character so I started almost panicking again. why is parenting so hard sometimes.

Today is my first day back at work and I'm disassociating hard. I barely know where I am or what I'm doing; I'm so glad someone suggested I go back part time to start with.

Rama HI!! I really hope you have a good day! How did this morning go? Fine. I just haven't really thought about it yet. MrRama nearly bust into tears, though, which was equal parts amusing and sad.

Well dd1 hasn't thrown up anymore, but my dad isn't taking her over night. I still need to pack the middle one because I cannot take four kids to our specialist appt tomorrow so someone has to go. I'm running out of steam, this stuff is hard! ds is sleeping ok lately which is nice. I have got a good nap out of him most days which is amazing. I am not use to decent sleep so I'm feeling a little spoiled, but it's upping my need to feel productive. Not a good thing.

cornpop, I'm' glad you talked to a nurse! Hope she perks up soon! Rama, I completely understand that disassociated feeling. I feel like that most days and I don't even have to leave my house.

Rama , I completely understand that disassociated feeling. I feel like that most days and I don't even have to leave my house. *hugs* I'm sorry you have disassociation, too. I've been disassociating since high school, so it's an easy coping mechanism to fall into, but sometimes it's a little too intense. I'm going to need to actually remember to pick up my child after work. Probably should set an alarm or something.

It is so hard to focus sometimes and they keep me on track. Definitely set a reminder, but it'll be great to pick her up!

I took the baby in and her lungs are clear and her pulse ox was fine. So just a cold and do the usual saline drops and humidifier. Her left ear was a little pink so she said to just keep an eye on it and if she gets a fever to call them in case it turns into an ear infection. Of course the baby was in a great mood and smiling away when we went.
She was up a pound and two ounces from two weeks ago. She had been gaining about a pound a month so this was a nice gain she had. Now she's in the 17th percentile for weight instead of 11th lol.

It's hard when they are this young and sick. They are used to getting calls like this all the time. I hope Elle is feeling better soon. Poor girl.

Look! I’m here on a Monday!
I’m sorry about all the sick little ones.
It’s rainy and miserable here and I even turned the furnace on because I was frozen.
A decided to boycott the crib last night and screamed until we pulled her into bed with us. I’m hoping she was just over tired from the festivities yesterday.

I hope all the kiddos who are not feeling well get better soon. Rama I am sorry you had to go back to work today. I hope the time went by quickly for you. I quite often dissociate myself from things and end up in my own little world. I think I slept wrong on my right side last night because my shoulder and neck hurt.

Ugh Elle's temp is up to 100.4. the nurse said it was probably just viral but she's so inconsolable. For a baby that usually never cries it's really concerning me.
