nothing really.
Next week is the first time that we are all off at the same time, but we aren't going anywhere. My sister will be in town so I am sure we will be doing day things

We will spend a fair bit of time at my parents cabin.
In-laws bought a camper at a resort with a few pools and such. That is only 8 minutes from my house so we will also be found there for a majority of the summer.
My SIL is getting married a few provinces away so we will make the road trip there and spend a week or two there. My sister also lives there so it’s a great chance to visit both.

We wanted to go to San Diego to take the kids to Legoland but I had sticker shock. We had originally planned on going during spring break and the prices for hotel and car practically tripled plus the flight options were not great. So, we are going to Wisconsin again to visit family and booked a suite at Kalihari in Wisconsin Dells for 2 nights. Bring on the bloody Mary’s and cheese curds! Last year we literally had to buy a suitcase for all the cheese and Bakalars wieners we brought back. We are thinking about renting a pontoon boat for an afternoon so we can take the family out on the river. Other than that it will be a week of chilling by the hotel pool.
I’m pricing out legoland Florida for thanksgiving break. Ds2 is LEGO obsessed and I know he would love it. We would probably do 2 days at legoland and 2 days in the Cocoa Beach area (more family) and then head home.
We spent last week in Branson, Mo with my parents. They just bought an rv and invited us up with them. We didn’t get to see much since we didn’t bring a car and with my moms health issues we stayed close to the rv. The kids had a blast though and it was nice just visiting. I’d like to go back with DH and the kids though because there was tons to do. When it gets cooler though!

We head to SC on Saturday for our annual beach week and I can’t wait.
H has another week off right before Labor Day so we may head down to FL for a few days just the three of us.
Traverse City around the 4th and that’s about it!

We are going to the lake where SO’s family lives for his SIL’s wedding. It’s a vacation only in that we have willing babysitters and once we get out there, there’s not a lot of shuffling around.
Hopefully we’ll get a dinner out in Chicago on the way back too.
Other than that, we basically live in a summer vacation destination and will spend the rest of the summer on the beach.

In July we are spending a week at my aunt's cabin in upstate New York, then we will have a few days to hang out at home before we go back to work. In September we are going to Niagara Falls and hitting a few state parks on the way there- so we'll do one or two nights of camping at the parks on the way up, then spend a few nights there in a nice hotel. Best of both worlds!
This is the first year we have more than just a long weekend planned somewhere so even though these aren't huge trips I'm really excited!
I'm working on coming up with a few fun day trips, including the beach!

DH has a THREE DAY WEEKEND! 😱🎉🎊 at the end of June between the end of his first year of residency and the start of his second. We were looking to go away somewhere- like ~2-3h drive but nothing was really sparking our interest and we couldn’t find any Groupon or LS deals for a hotel for the areas, so we decided to find a hotel in the suburbs near the suburban zoo with an amazing pool and just have a mini suburb vacation. N loves the water so we picked a hotel that has indoor and outdoor pools and adult and children pools so well divide the days up between the zoo and the pools. And it’s only like a 40min drive!
Then we have a week vacation to go to NYC to visit my parents at the end of August right after N turns one! So we can celebrate with my family and see some friends and go to the beach and hang out in the city and “show” N around since my parents are planning on moving to FL this fall.

We're heading to Boston and Maine for a long weekend soon. I'm already dreaming of all the lobsters I'll eat.
Not much else is planned, I don't think. A weekend in Pittsburgh to visit MIL at the end of the summer.

I will be using my maternity leave as an excuse to get out of the city in July and August. First up is an island off the coast of France known for its salt and oysters. I am hoping to finagle my way into working on a salt farm for a day, they harvest it like this: Next up will be trips to hang out with family in Brittany and Normandie. Lots of cousins will be there so we’ve hired a few babysitters for the weeks and therefore, wine will be had ☺️ My parents are visiting in August and we’ll go just north of the city to celebrate my birthday. Finally, I’m leaving the kids with my H and his family while I travel ALONE to Colorado, for a best friends wedding. So excited for that, even the red eye plane ride watching movies alone sounds wonderful.

Tentative plans to road trip to DC and Williamsburg at the end of August.
Also hope to take the first week of July off - we'll work on unpacking the house but I'm lining up stuff for the kids to do with other family members; Brewers game, zoo trips, etc.

cherrytomato, someone told me that Legoland San Diego runs great Black Friday deals for trips in the following year. So I'm keeping that in the back of my head to try for a San Diego spring break 2019 trip.

No "real" vacation plans this summer, mostly because new baby. But I am taking the last 2 weeks of my unpaid baby bonding time in July, and spending one week with the ILs (H will be there for most of that) and one week at my parents, with the girls. So at least that is a vacation from work. Then in September we are taking a long weekend. We will fly to the ILs to watch the girls and spend one night kid free in SF.
I can't wait to have a real vacation, though. Not sure when it will happen. With 2 kids in day care, our vacation fund will be slow to grow over the next couple years, lol.

Nothing big here. July babies, man. We will go to Austin for a wedding Labor Day weekend, then my sister and I are doing a staycation for a night down by the ballpark for a belated birthday celebration, and MH and I discussed a long weekend on the central Texas wine trail in the fall. All that depends on how these babies are doing once they’re out though. Basically just throwing around some things we could do last minute easily.

We have no big plans but heading to the Alps for a few days around L’Alpe-d’Huez so DH can take part in a big cycling race and we can just relax around there for a few days.

We are going to to the Outer Banks next month with my bff and her family, my mom and sister. It should be lots of fun! I want to do something else in August. Possibly a camping trip. We may try to go down to the Outer Banks again at the end of September with just my parents.

I work Mon-Fri and H works Tue-Sat so we only ever overlap weekends on Sundays. I wish we had full weekends to do more quick trips. Sometimes I take a random Monday off so we can go to the beach or do a day trip when it's a little less crowded

We are planning to go to the beach for a few days before DS starts kindergarten, just close by in DE and VA Beach.
H is taking DS on a “guys trip” to visit his parents, so DD and I will spend the weekend with my parents, but they’re local.
We had a Sesame Place weekend planned, but cancelled due to weather. We are hoping to reschedule that, but I don’t know if I want to go when it’s super super hot.

We head to OBX the week after 4th of July for our annual vacation with friends. I suppose at some point we’ll head to Myrtle Beach to see the in laws but that will be towards the end of the summer. I kept thinking we’d go in September but I forgot C starts kindergarten so no fall trips for us. I hate going there anyway so I’d not be broken hearted if it doesn’t work out.
I’ll also be doing a solo trip to Oregon to ski this summer. C is still too young to get a lot out of it and H has no interest so 7 glorious days to myself.

We don't usually vacation in the summer because it's the only time it's nice here. I'm sure we will make a few trips to my parent's lake house a few hours away, though. Our next big trip is Disney in October.
I actually just got back from visiting my sister in Scottsdale, and I do not recommend Arizona in June.

Short weekend 4th of July trip to visit family, then we have a 1.5 week vacation to visit family in Florida and go to Disney in August. Also a brief trip to Detroit overnight with the lovely scarlettpanda to see Harry Styles. I am trying to get my ILs to watch the kids for our 10th Anniversary in October so DH and I can go away, but that's still up in the air. The other nurse at my job retired, and we hired a new one to start end of June, so I really can't take off much this summer as there is no coverage until she is trained.

Ok, I’m going to ask for suggestions while people have travel on the brain.
Since DS starts kindergarten in the fall, spring break 2019 is going to be our first “real” spring break so I want to plan something big-ish.
It’s going to be mid April. We live on the East Coast and would be willing to fly a few hours. What would be fun with a 5.5 year old and an almost 3 year old?

Mh and I spent a week on vacation with Memorial Day weekend at his parents' in PA, then roadtripped through Cleveland to Chicago and back home through Pittsburgh. It wasn't the most exotic and the weather was WEIRD but we had a great time. We're already talking about going back to spend more time in Cleveland actually.
We're planning a beach trip to NC in a few weeks. We're staying in this adorably cheesy 50s beach resort where my grandparents took my mom, and my mom took us — so Max will be the fourth generation in my family to stay and play there.

Every year around 4th of July we go to MIL and hit up the river. I don't think we'll make it this year. DH is super busy at work and has a full schedule until sometime in September. My father is also sick and I don't want to travel too far from home. MIL is supposed to be planning a beach trip and so DS & I will more than likely meet up with them for it. Don't know if it counts, but I'm a summer baby, for my 40th birthday a friend who also turns 40, and I are going skydiving sometime in August.
