addymac I'm sorry u and your H are fighting so much. It sucks and it's hard. How much spit up is normal? We've been to the doctor twice already and nothing has gotten accomplished. He spits up multiple times after feeding and up to an hour later. It doesn't seem to bother him though but we are changing him 3 or 4 times a day and ourselves at least once. It also goes all over the floor.

As for sleeping....im trying to get j from the bassinet to the pnp but it's not going well. The pnp has more room and is in our bedroom and I want to keep him there until 5 or 6 months. I want to start crib naps after thanksgiving . I think that's going to be really rough.

And sometimes up to 2 hours after he finished eating! It’s exhausting to be cleaning it up off the floor, our clothes, his clothes, teyihbti make sure it doesn’t get on the rug or couch... I just try to have burp cloths everywhere. Sigh. *unless the spit ups are more like vomit or really intense projectile- like across the room. I wish they’d come up with a medication to fix this reflux spit up shit. Ugh. I can’t wait til he grows out of it....

addymac the boob pain was pretty intense at first when P started STTN. I just hand expressed a little and after about a week it got better. I still wake up full, and sometimes in a little pain, but it's manageable.

DS was like this and I brought it up to the pedi a few times and they assured me that it was normal and would only been an issue if he wasn't gaining weight. It's definitely annoying on the laundry though.

I do feel a little nervous not having P in the room with us anymore but we're getting much better sleep since her sleep grunts/moans coming through the monitor are more muted than when she's right next to me. Also, H and I have wanted to be intimate again and there was no way I was doing anything with P in the room. She's quickly outgrowing the RnP anyway, I know she's safer in the crib, she's swaddled, so ::shrug::

I try to ignore it but find myself on edge waiting till the grunting and whimpering becomes "I am awake change me feed me". Which sucks cause she often starts making noises 2h before she actually wakes up. But I just am not ready yet to move her out of our room ... hah even if it would help me sleep better! When do you go and check up on her and how do you know tis sounds you can ignore? Trail and error I guess - tho i am winging it some times still anyway 😊

If her eyes are open, I go check on her.

I'm exhausted from walking j around. I don't know what else to do. We do floor time, play mat, sit.on me, etc but then thete is still like 30 or 40 minutes until nap time and he just wants to walk Suggestions? Do you go out a lot with baby to break up the day? We go for coffee every afternoon just to break up the day. I feel like I'm running out of patience and my back is killing me. I also know DH won't be able to keep up the walking around because of his back. How do u get the baby to like sitting on me or.in the bouncy chair? He hates the bouncy chair

I'm also having anxiety today thanks to fighting with DH last night and him saying he never wanted to stay home with a baby. I keep getting anxious because I'm back to work im 5 weeks. I should be grateful I can spend 16 weeks with j. I know. At least the anxiety isn't full blown hot creeping up my arms now..its just normal anxiety.

Kids are hard on a marriage. Luckily, when H and I have a fight things change. We also do the best when we have more sex, but it’s harder to fit in with two kids and opposite work shifts.
Our bassinet is about 30”x16” and R still has plenty of room. I kept T in there until about 5 months. She wiggles and kicks the sides, but she’s not outgrowing it. I’m not going to move her until she sleeps through the night.

jexxa we have been slackers and don't have amonitor yet.. haven't had need forone so far *g* But definitely will be getting a video one as well. What kind do you have and do you like it? (others, feel free to answer this Q as well! king26 *hugs* sorry anciety is creeping back in. Somtimes we say things we don't really mean.. or maybe we do mean them but at the same time we don't. I'm sure that in time YH will be okay as a SAHD and otherwise it is never too late to look into daycare. He may have to do the SAHD thing for a while if there's a waitlist or sumthing but he'll live and so will J and you. Things should get less hard over time, too. It sucks fighting over these kind of things though and I'm sorry it's causing you anxiety. We have had a similar row recently about who works and how many hours and what not (and MH suggesting he'd be the SAHP and take care of D and the household.. hah, you say that now buddy but I just KNOW this ain't your thing so.. let's not even try that out full time??) and it just blows

Now we use it for P and have an audio-only one for DS. ETA: I see at the bottom of the picture it has the updated version 😆

We have the monitor Jexxa has. After 3.5 years the battery doesn’t really hold a charge. I want a new one since we are now on different floors with different furnaces. I want one with a temperature alarm as last year our thermostat froze twice before it was replaced - once with the furnace off and the other time with it on. I’m concerned about the kids not being able to regulate their temperatures if it happens again.

Anyone had a monitor that you can slso remotely access thru your phone? I d love to be able to take a peak on her while away from home as well (obv someone else will be watching her then heh) Hope you all are having good nights. I got little less then 5h of sleep but DH startled me awake twice by scooting away a cat from the bed ugh. Cats no wake me no more and he needs to quit that lol. Bfing D as I type this but she isnt drinking real active and/or just not getting much out of my boobs atm. I hope she will sleep some more cause i am tired tired tired still and need to rest up a bit before my intern day at the hospital tomorrow. Meeting with the LC later this am and i am soooo hopefull she will be able to help us. 🤞🤞 I posted on the infant ans breastfeeding board with questions, in case any one would have some time to read and respond.. howeverithappened.proboards.com/post/673056/thread/8862LOL D is farting so badly! I try burp her several times during/after feeds but apperently not doing a good job at it or??

Not a good night here. He woke up every 2.5 hours. We tried transitioning to a wearable blanket because he gets mad about the swaddle but he's not sleeping well. I finally put him in bed with us at 6 and he slept an extra hour and a half. I also feel like we've created a monster the last few days. He's been refusing to go down for a nap unless we give him a little but.of formula. I'm talking like half an ounce and he goes to sleep but now he wants it everyone and that isn't good. I don't want him to need a bottle.to sleep. Before he was happy with his pacifier but not the last few days. I also think he's going through a leap though so maybe that's why. I'm going i to work tomorrow for 4 hours to watch groups and meet with my principal. I've only left j with DH for 4 hours 1 other time and he was 6 weeks old then. I think this will be a good trial for when I'm gone 8 hours a day. I hope he does ok. Both of them lol muscari I hope the LC can help you and good luck with the job thing tomorrow.

Question about pacifiers- how important is the age range for them? We went to buy more bc we’ve somehow lost half of them but DH wanted the specific ones but they said 6+ months. We got them but now I wonder should I have gotten the 0-6mo ones? The ones we got for free in goody bags are too small in the holder part and last time I gave it to him he shoved almost the whole thing in his mouth! So I got rid of those two, then I got two (lost one) from BBB that have a bigger holder part. What’s the difference between the 0-6 and 6+ mo ones? I’m using the mam brand bc those are the only one he likes...

addymac the higher month ones are usually just thicker/harder nipples in my experience. It makes it more difficult for kiddos with teeth to bite through them. You can try to switch it, but I know DS struggled to suck on them when we tried to switch him.

muscari We have the Infant Optics DXR-8. We had a Motorola previously but I couldn't get a second camera for it so we switched to this one. I love it so far. I don't have the ability to check it on my phone though.

king26 DS spit up after every feed until he was about 11 months. (After he was already walking...so much spit up everywhere allll the time.) The pedi wasn't concerned becuase he was gaining weight fine. E spits up after most feeds, but less than DS did. And

P randomly woke up last night around 3. She was fussing but not crying, but her eyes were opened. I sent H in hoping he could soothe her back to sleep without needing me to feed her. Luckily he was able to get her back to sleep within about 15 minutes. For a moment I thought the decision to move her to the crib was coming back to bite me 😆
She is trying reeeeeeally hard to roll over and break out of the swaddle, and I think that’s what’s waking her up, so it might be time to switch to sleep sacks soon.

I'm dreading when we have to switch to sleep sacks. Fortunately, baby h isnt very close to rolling yet, lol.

R has a rash on her left cheek. I think it’s due to formula, since it’s the way she leans when eating. H thinks she’s getting a tooth. H wants her to have a tooth so bad, despite T not getting on until like 8 months. But, since he knows someone who has a baby that got one super early, he thinks R is teething.

bsouls that’s funny. Well I know this one person... so clearly... I am terrified of teeth. Teeth and nursing, teeth and sleep issues... just... ugh! This kid was so clingy today- could barely put him down today- I had to hold and carry him around practically all day! 😏 my arms/back are exhausted. And he refuses the carrier. And was fighting the boob but would take a bottle today. Sigh. Now he’s been asleep for almost 3 hours! He had been taking cat naps all day so... I foresee a rough night ahead of us. Do you guys think that if I feed a bottle instead of my boob during a MOTN feed he’d sleep better? Last night I gave him a bottle as his last feeding before he went down at 7:30p. He slept til 2am! But then I BF at 2, he only ate from one side and would not take more, and he was up on and off fussing and making noise and moving around the rest of the night. Idk how much of it is BFing vs trying to have him not sleep in the swing.... I also realized why he sleeps so well for DH on the nights he’s in charge of him- he puts him in the swing the whole night 😒 Anddddd I just overflowed my pumping bottle and spilled milk all over the couch- did not realize that I had pumped that much out, holy crap! And was busy typing this up. Oops.

addymac The bottle might be less effort and, so he might take it better. It’s worth a try, but fluke sleeps seem common.
