jt2378 That’s basically what we’ve been doing too. Probably time to change that here soon. When DS was a baby, I would do bath (if it was a bath day), diaper/pjs, nurse and read a book or two.

I think I created a monster.... yesterday he fell asleep on my chest and then I took a nap and he ended sleeping for four hours on my chest. Today he napped on me for like half an hour, woke up cried and had a snack, then passed back out- so I moved him to the swing hoping I’d get enough time to eat lunch- it’s been about two hours— at what point do I wake him up or just let him sleep?? Idk how this will affect his night sleep (which is a crapshoot anyway)

If it's after 4 i wake him up after 2 hours because I don't want him to sleep too much before bed .

I was looking into getting a Merlin a month ago or so, since R hates being swaddled. I came across some reviews that it’s not recommended, since it would be easy for a baby to over heat. So, I opted to not get it.

Those who are BF, did you all get flu shots? I just tried to at CVS and the pharmacist said I should check with my OB and no studies have really been done on it with BF. I hadn’t even thought about it. I mean they obviously recommend in pregnancy like he said so not sure if it’s really different.

jt2378 ugh that’s annoying. Sorry you have to go back. They pharmacist sounds dumb. Like the one my parents went to and was like “why are you getting the flu shot?? I’ve never gotten one!” And this is the first year my parents were going to get one bc DH and I require it for baby time and I’m like 😒😠 at the stupid pharmacist. Way to make my parents even more hesitant. And then the pharmacist refused to give it to my mom bc she’s on eye drop antibiotics. EYE DROP ABX. said he’d give her the shot after she was done with her eye drops. Like what a moron. DH was so mad but I was like it’s fine. Just let it go. 😒😒😒

I put j in the Moby today, facing out, and made dinnet. He stayed awake and entertained foe the 30 minutes it took me. Score! I've out him in the carrier facing me before while I cook but he always falls asleep. I'm excited turning him out kept him up. I used the one carry but just flipped him around outward.

I’ve been thinking about putting N in the carrier facing outward— so is it time already?! Are our babies big enough to be facing out?! How did this happen???!!!!

Just be careful with forward facing. I don’t know for sure but I have heard it can be bad for their hips and spine. I didn’t realize until I was reading more about the boba which is what I have and you can’t forward face at all. The Moby might be completely different though.

I didn't know that about carriers. The one I normally use is made for either way as long as they have head control but I don't know about the moby. It's just easier on my back. The other carrier is so much easier to put on though so I wear it anytime we are out.

I’m sorry! Not trying to cause worry or confusion. I guess it must just be with the boba

I’m sorry! Not trying to cause worry or confusion. I guess it must just be with the boba Some carriers now have a seal of approval from the hip dysplasia committee or whatever it's called. I know my ergo did, but I still don't think he's big enough yet to forward face. I thought it was closer to 5 months.

I will probably do that tomorrow actually.

It's so freaking cold today. 28 feels like 20 snow is coming. I have j all bundled up.
I did not sleep well last night. I did good during his first stretch but then struggled to fall asleep. I hate that. Of course DH was snoring away just fine which didn't help any.

Sorry you didn’t sleep well, king26. I hear you about the cold- it’s 20, feels like 13, and is snowing -really I just see flurries but it’s supposed to happen all morning. Yuck. And Noah’s hanging out in a T-shirt onesie and socks bc he again freaks if I try to bundle him up! This kid is confusing me. He fell asleep yesterday at 4:30pm. Slept til 8p! Woke up, ate for 15min, then passed back out. I was like HUH?!? Slept until 1:30am!! I fell asleep around 10?11? I got a nice 2-3hr stretch. Woke up at 1:30, ate, then passed back out and Woke up briefly for a snack around 3, (it barely registered on my awake scale) then slept til 5:30am! Like what??? If he could shift the starting sleep time to like 7 not 4, that would be great. And even though he woke up, he fell back asleep every time on his own, so I didn’t even mind *that* much. I’m sufe today will be completely different. 🤷🏻♀️

So on Wednesday I applied for a job opening similar to what I did, at one of the hospitals in the city my family lives (about an hour drive from here). Yesterday I got a call to invite me for an intern day part of the selection process. Ahhhh! I haven't been away from D for longer then 1.5h max maybe and now I have to leave her with MH for a full day on Tuesday! 😲 Not sure how I am going to manage pumping while there either.. guess maybe a quick 10min during lunch and then as soon as I get to the car at the end if the day? I worry about sore boobs and leaking thru my uniform!? And omgosh i have to leave D for a day!?? They offered to do half a day.. could I take them up on that offer even tho it was followed by a "but of course you see a lot more on a full day"?
Originally MH and I had decided I would stay home till Spring at least but I just couldnt let this chance pass by. However now I am having all the feels about it. If I was to get the job (big if still ofcoz) I dont think I would start till Jan 1 but would try to extend that till February. So I dont have to worry about returning to work just yet which is good cause I doubt I could handle it in top of everything.

addymac that's great! J wakes up twice a night but eats and goes right back to sleep. It's a good thing. I hope your lo keeps it up. We've gotten to the point where he goes down between 8 and 9 but for a while there he was going closer to 7 which sucked. We go to bed when he does so we can get as much sleep as.possible.

muscari congrats on the interview!! That’s awesome! Just a thought - It’s an hour away near your family- could MH drive up with you so you could pump in the car on the way there, then he could spend part of the day with your fam- like your mom? So D could see them? I know you haven’t been able to see your mom as much Bc of her health issues- and then you could pump during lunch and then again on the car ride home?

J has cradle cap bad all of a sudden. What can I do for it? Anything? Put some baby oil on it and then a hat for a little while. Then use a fine tooth baby comb to loosen it up. And then a bath. It will take a few sessions of that to clear it up.
