Those if you who have babies that sleep 8 or 9 hours through the night...how long do your babies nap during the day then? Or about how many naps do they take?

If we are home she naps more. If we are out and about itβs less. Then the random days where itβs catnaps all day lol.

addymac I don't know if this will make you feel better or worse, but I agree with what cali said about sttn. Ds1 didn't sttn until almost 2 years old co-sleeping. DS2 is just a much better sleeper, thank goodness. He doesn't sttn but we get a good 5-6 hr stretch which we never would have gotten with DS1 at this age. We haven't really done anything different with them, which makes me feel better bc I thought I was doing something wrong with DS1 causing him not to sleep.

This is exactly me except DD1 was 14 months until she STTN and cosleeping. Your so right, it all just depends on the baby and sometimes you canβt do anything. It truly sucks at the time. This is probably why Iβm failing at really trying to get her in the crib. I really donβt want to mess with good sleep right now because Iβve been on the other side and itβs so damn hard!

Not necessarily directly after, but she has about six sleeps a day. Her last bottle gives us her longest sleep, then her early am feed gives us the next longest. The rest through out the day vary between 30 min to 2 hours. T has always been on the high end of sleep. Iβm hoping R gets to be the same.

Thanks ladies. Iβm just spiraling on my nerves about him not STTN when I go back to work and DH has to be alone with him all night and then go work 16 hour days. Iβm trying really hard to remind myself that he might figure it out in the next month or so and I should just chill.
Of course his sleep is all over the ducking place these days with our traveling. But he sleeps such long stretches on my chest (4+ he nap today on my chest! Less than an hour nap in his crib) that Iβm worried Iβm creating a monster, but I need rest and need him to sleep more than an hour! Oof.

Hey ladies! Thanks for checking up on me jt2378 and thank you all who commented on me earlier this week! π D. is eating like a champ and I hope the extra bottles are helping her plump up a bit. Today at one feeding session she took 6oz extra!? Wowza. She does seem to have a preference for the bottle over my boobs lately which worries.. but she has only flat out refused the boob once or twice luckily. We also started a more strict sleep wake eat play sleep schedule and trying out some soothing tricks in hopes it helps her sleep better during the day and get less overstimilated and overtired which made her cranky in the evening. And iy seems to make a difference as D is finally napping (in her own bed too!) a cple times during the day! Or at least has done so for 2 or 3 days in a row so π€ I started pumping again after every BFing session and luckily it does seem to be helping with my supply already so that makes me happy. And soooo relieved, as after getting near nothing Wednesday through Friday I was certain this was the beginning of the end of BFing and it broke my heart. Things have been feeling off and been difficult for some time now but I have had it really rough these past few days. I have cried so much and felt so sad, empty and detached since the appointment Wednesday and pretty much fell apart yesterday afternoon. MH and I talked and think it is time I see the GP to discuss possible PPD/PPA cause it is becoming clear *something* isn't quite right with me. It puzzles me cause I have dealt with depression since adolescence and I would have thought I'd recognize it clearer. But having a baby just changes everything apperently. Today actually been a pretty good day. I even went out on my own for a bit and didnt feel all anxious about how things were going at home. I was gone an hour and only checked in thru whatsapp once π I took a long nap after dinner too and when I heard D fuss I let her and MH be knowing he'd be fine and would call for me if necessary. She was actually napping in her crib when I woke back up. And now it is bedtime! I will try to pop but may be quiet for some longer while I try to keep my head from exploding. Self care means more downtime (no tv no phone etc) for me at this moment. Thinking of you all as always and I hope all little ones and mamas are doing well! π

Omg. My kid will not sleep in his crib. I feel like his sleep is getting worse, not better m, as he gets older. He used to sleep in his pnp and anywhere and nap in his crib and now itβs like no matter what I do he wakes up within minutes of placing him in there. π©

muscari I'm glad it's going better. If you need to talk about the ppa/d I'm here. I really had no clue that's what was going on with me but I'm so much better now that we are treating it.
