That's great jexxa. I'm glad it went well. I'm back to work on Nov 7 and debating whether to take baby H in then or Nov 6. I feel like maybe I should do Nov 6 as a test run, but I kind of want one more day with him. I'm going to be a crying mess in any case

H and I were having a great night, snuggling in bed while j slept and things were going great. Then we talked about j baptism and got into a huge fight about the godparents. We were both upset and while j slept a 5.5 hour stretch neither of us slept well at all and both if our feelings were hurt. We both up with j now and are sitting next to each other while I feed him but I'm sad and so is he. What a sucky night and nothing has been resolved.

king26 I’m sorry that really, really sucks. DH and I have been snipping at each other basically nonstop. I finally said we had to talk and there was crying and not a lot resolved but I’m trying. I hope DH is going to try too. I didn’t even address everything, just more pertinent and immediate issues. This kid is not a fan of sleeping alone these last few days. But I’m determined to stop cosleeping bc if something happens to him I’d never forgive myself. I really wish he could sleep on his belly, he does so well on my chest andas soon as I put him down in his crib, up he goes. It took 2.5 hours last night of repeated snacking, laying down, back up, rocking, laying down, back up, snack, rocking, back down to get him to fall asleep! Oof.

addymac That sounds awful. I can't remember if N hates the swaddle. Have you tried swaddling him again? White noise has helped us too. Honestly, though, I sometimes fall asleep with H in the rocking chair, but he's propped on the boppy where he can't fall and I can't crush him although it's not ideal. king26 Awww. I'm sorry. That's really frustrating.

That's really frustrating. He used to tolerate the swaddle and needed it to stay asleep- these last few days he goes apeshit if I try to swaddle his arms in but he still flails around a lot and I think he needs it to fall into a deeper sleep but he will have none of it- in a blanket or in a swaddle sack. Last night he would just wake up every time his head hit the crib. Tried the rnp he hated that more. I refuse to do the swing at night. He didn’t sleep more than two hours at most at a time. Ughhh he usually gives at least one four hour stretch, but nothing. Oof. 😴😴😴

Sorry king26 and addymac about the fighting. These first few months are so tough on a marriage. Hugs Sorry about the sleep too, I basically have M fall asleep on me every night and transfer to the RnP. I have no idea how to really have a bedtime routine and get her into the crib. I know it’s going to be a disaster so I just keep putting it off.

I’m getting my period. It’s not bright red, yet - but, it should come tomorrow. I’ve been pretty moody and agitated, so it makes sense.
I’ve had 39 kids so far. The past two years I’ve had 31. I’m not even eating any of the candy since I’m dieting hard.

addymac and king26, I was just coming here to post about how I'm so sick of fighting with MH. I know I am bitchy to him a lot because I'm sleep deprived but he is so frustrating to deal with lately. I just wanted 20 minutes to pump and I'm sitting here pumping and listening to M scream bloody murder while both mh and my mil are down there with her. Wtaf? Someone pick her up and soothe her, it's not that hard. I'm so over it. I'm also so annoyed with my mil, she has been here the past two days supposedly to help me and has done barely anything to help me. She did watch M today when I was at school and MH slept (because of course he did) but she told me M slept a lot. I really do appreciate her babysitting but all the breakfast dishes from her and MH we're waiting for me in the sink when I got home. I wasn't even here for breakfast, why am I cleaning up??? She has been sitting on the couch playing on her iPad since I got home while I have been taking care of M, cleaning the kitchen, and making dinner. And when I said I was making chili for dinner she asked if there was still leftover pizza from last night. Seriously? Sorry, I guess I needed to vent.

cali vent away. I’d be just as upset as you. That was like when my FIL was visiting and I was trying to nap and I could just hear N screaming and it was like wtffff. Ugh I’m so sorry! Is she leaving tomorrow? 🤞🏼

I think that's part of why I've been so irritable with mh.

Ok so I may have found a way to help N fall asleep that doesn’t take 2.5 hours tonight, but he woke up at 130 to eat. Ok fine. I fed him and st the end of his feeding he had a major poop. I don’t change him st night unless there’s poop, and since there was, I changed him, but now he’s WIIIIIDE awake. Like ugh! How can I change his poopy diaper without waking him up completely? 😟 king26 yay for TOTing not messing with his nap!

addymac, I wish I knew how to change M's diaper without waking her too! Last night she pooped and then fell sound asleep. I tried so hard to change her without waking her, I got everything ready in advance, warmed up the wipes in my hand and tried to go super quick but she still woke up. I got her calmed and as she was telling back to sleep finally she pooped again!! So I had to do it all again and it took another 30 mins to get her asleep! If anyone has a trick to do it without waking I need to know too!!

Omg cali! I can't believe your MIL asked if there was leftover pizza when you said you were making chili. Rage!!!! Right? I was so pissed. She's such a weird eater, like she has the palate of a 10 year old, only likes pizza, burgers, tacos and stuff like that. It's so weird. She also never cooks, so her and my fil eat take out or frozen meals every day.

R slept from 7:30pm to 6am. I woke up several times with her noises in anticipation of needing to feed her, but she kept sleeping.

I keep waking up half an hour before he cries- like he starts to make noises and that wakes me up but I learned to not touch him until his eyes are open and he actually cries, but that’s been consistently a half hour + from when the noises start / I wake up. Why won’t my body let me sleep longer!! And DH is on night shift this week so gets home around 9- kiddo ateat 0130, 0530, I was hoping he’d go til 9:30 so DH could see him since we are leaving today for my parents’ place. Kid wakes up at 7! I can’t control him, obvs, but I feel badly bc DH didn’t get to spend more than half an hour with him yesterday bc he was asleep when he came home and then DH went to bed and when DH woke up, N slept til half an hour before he had to leave for work! ☹️

Ughhhh DS got me sick. It hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday. I don’t have time for this shit, I have so much to do before DS’s birthday party on Saturday. I knew this would happen 😒
We didn’t have too many ToTers last night. We only had people from 6:15-7:30 really. We had bought 3 big bags of candy and now have so much left over. Pregnant me would be thrilled, still trying to lose the last 10 pregnancy pounds me is not.

There is not enough coffee for today....
DS got maybe 6 hours of sleep last night (went to bed late, woke up many times, up for the day by 5:30am). He’s going to pass out when I get him in the car for his speech appointment today, which means he’ll be even more cranky when I have to wake him up.
DD is in a mood too, she’s only happy when she’s sleeping or when I’m holding her and walking around. If only I was tracking my daily steps- they’d be outrageous with the laps I’m doing around the house. I need to look up the wonder weeks and see if that’s what’s going on with her.

addymac I'm almost always up for 30-45 minutes before j wakes up because he is sooooo noisy prior to waking up. It drives me crazy. Sometimes I want to just get him up so we can go back to sleep but like you I've learned to wait until his eyes are open. I'm sorry you are sick jexxaI am taking j to book club with me today so that should be interesting. I hope he does well. We've also done a lot of walking around today. I wish j liked sitting or laying o. The floor better then walking around. My back and shoulders are killing me and there's no way we can keep it up for months with him gaining weight. He will sit for like 10 minutes. Then sometimes 10 minutes on play at or bouncy chair. Maybe another 10 on the floor but mostly he likes she we pick him up and walk him. Anyone else have that problem?
