I'm so glad my feet went back to normal after giving birth. They had gone up a full size but are back down now.
So we tried putting j in the pack n play for bed last night because He s outgrowing his bassinet. He's been sleeping a 5 or 6 hour stretch every night. Nope. Woke up after less than 2 hours . We put him back in bassinet after eating and he slept 4.5 hours. Grrr. How do I make the transition? He's getting too big for the bassinet but I don't want him or us to lose sleep.

king26 what type of mattress sheet did you have in the bassinet? Is the pnp a graco one? You could try getting a quilted sheet for it- I find them to be softer and it might be my imagination but I think N sleeps better on it than a regular pnp thin sheet

T and I are sick. I’m hoping R doesn’t catch it, but I’m sure she will. I start back at work on Monday, so it’s a bummer that this is how I end my leave.

I just have a thin sheet on the graco PNP maybe I'll try the quilted sheet

Do you lay your baby on the floor often? I wasn't doing this but I'm so tired of carrying him all the time so we have started doing some floor time too. Is this an ok activity? He's on his back on a blanket on the flior. Is it ok to spend some time thete? We do tummy time everyday but have been doing time on his back on the floor more and more.

king26, yes! It is actually recommended to do that because even though they're on their backs they are moving their head around and strengthening their muscles! I do this with M at least twice a day.

Have anyone's feet gone up like half a size? I just bought two new pairs of work shoes in the size I've worn for years and neither of them fit. Not sure if I should return them or hope my feet shrink back. Try stretching them! I had to do that with some of my shoes after my first born. No way was I giving them up without a fight.

king26 Sometimes when R is fussing, she is content to lay on the floor and look around. She has been spending time on the floor several times a day.

I've been so sick all week, like the sickest I've been in years. I think it's just the flu or something but being this sick and taking care of M has been so tough. Especially since I'm almost completely soloing during the week. MH sleeps during the day and works night. I almost asked him to call in sick last night I was so desperate but I know we can't afford for him to miss any days. I just feel like I'll never get better cuz I'm not getting any rest and to top it off, M's baptism is this weekend. We were going to host a small lunch (12 people) at our house afterwards but I just called my mom and asked if we could do it at her house instead cuz I can't get it together. I really don't want to be sick for this but more importantly, I don't want m to be sick for it! I'm trying so hard not to breathe on her and to wash my hands constantly but I'm still afraid she'll catch it!

I’m so sorry everyone’s sick I hope everyone feels better soon and can push off household duties to DHs and fam. AFM, heading back home tomorrow with N after a couple days visit with my parents. They’re obsessed, he loves to laugh and smile with them, I wish we were staying longer but DH is being a total grump about us (N) being away from him even though he’s working 14+ hr nights so I feel badly keeping N away from him. Just hoping tomorrow’s flight goes as well or better than the flight out!!

E has a fever of 100.6. I assume it's just from her shots today. She's been super fussy and uninterested in eating too.
Of course I'm at my sister's house without H. It may be a long night.

bsouls hope you all feel better soon! king26 H goes on his mat a few times a day. It keeps him occupied so I can get something done. Plus DS1 usually lays with him. I do use this small tummy time pillow to prob his head on so it's not flat on the floor. cali aww that sounds crappy. Hope you feel better!

It's almost 12:30, baby has been sleeping for 2 hours. I should be sleeping since we need to get up and go tomorrow morning. However, DH convinced me to have wine and now I'm wide awake.
H has been waking again at 3am and o don't really know why.

Any suggestions for ways to move baby to his crib/pnp from my arms without waking up?? My mom keeps saying just let him sleep next to you or on you but hi, sids / suffocation risk / I don’t sleep well with him laying on my chest or next to me bc I’m worried about all of that but he sleeps so soundly on my chest. And every time I try to move him to the pnp he wakes up on the way down and I have to start the going to sleep process all over again! kristyw sorry E isn’t feeling well. I’d try some tylenol and lots of snuggles. Hope she kicks the fever and sleeps

I'm so pissed. J slept 6 hours which was awesome. I got him back into bed but DH was working in something at 3am....fine whatever. But when he comes back to bed he wakes me up to snuggle and tries talking to me. I just ignore him. Then j starts whimpering an hour later an DH wakes me and pokes me until I get up. J opens his eyes but isn't really up and DH is like he's up, get him, he s uo. Shut up! He's not up he would have gone back to sleep but now you flipping woke him up good and j have to put him back to sleep. I'm mad. J didn't even want to eat because he's only been do2n an hour. Dh doesn't get why I'm pissed. Maybe because I'm the one that always wakes up and knows when he's up so piss off. Sorry foe the rant but we would be sleeping right now if he would have been quiet.

It usually works to put him down after that. However, when I put him down and he begins to fuss I pat him and do some shhhushibg and that usually works at least getting him in the bassinet or rock n play. He wakes up all the time with the crib so I'm no help therr.

Tonight I tried to just get her to fall asleep in her co-sleeper so I wouldn't have to transfer but that was kind of a nightmare. She did eventually fall asleep but it took forever and was miserable. The only reason I stuck it out is because I'm so sick and didn't want to breathe on her that much with her sleeping on me. If you do figure out a trick let me know!
