addymac I usually do the thing king26 suggested where I wait for awhile before putting him down to try to get him into a deeper sleep cycle. He's also swaddled at night and would wake up if he wasn't. Also, when he's on me, he's propped on a boppy on my lap, so he isn't up against my full body heat. Maybe N doesn't like going from your warm body to the colder pacnplay. I've never tried this myself but I've heard people suggest putting a heating pad in the crib/pacnplay and then taking it away when they put the baby down--that way, there's not the heat difference. I will say that what works for me with baby H would NEVER have worked with my first, who is a terrible sleeper. So I guess it depends alot on the baby. king26 Nope!! My dh knows that if he wakes baby up, esp at night that I will be furious. Your dh should have been more respectful of your sleep and at the very least should have gotten the baby after waking him up. I had explain the "don't wake the baby or Mommy will rage" concept to my 3 year old, but you'd think a grown man would get it. Hope you get some rest.

I’ve always just put my babies down. I’m not a fan of the rocking and holding them to get them to sleep. I’m like, “oh, you’re tired?” and I put them down. H fed R last night since I’m sick and he held her for awhile. She wasn’t falling asleep and I just kept thinking that I just put her in the bassinet after she eats. Sometimes I have to put the pacifier in a few times, but it’s been awhile since I’ve gotten her out to hold her to get her to sleep.

@starzia, yes! I do the transfer the same way, I keep my hands cradled under her head and back and lay her down which usually works

DD1 has been sick almost 2 weeks with a miserable cough that seems worse than before but took her to the pedi yesterday and lungs were clear. What are your symptoms? Do you think really the flu? Ugh hope your better soon ☹️

I'm assuming not getting adequate rest isn't helping. Hope your DD is feeling better soon!!

Thanks guys. I do the holding for about 20-30min post feed bc if his reflux, I started doing the heating pad (it’s worked about 50% of the time), and I do the slow put down and slowly moving my hands away thing, I’ve tried the leaving him in there to figure it out (he is not a fan hah)... I guess I’ll just keep trying. Ugh cali I’m so sorry you’re still sick! king26 oh man I’m sorry your H did that. I too would be furious and flip my shit. Woof.

bsouls I wish I could just put j down. We've tried but he won't fall asleep. We do have a routine now thkugj. I get him in the rocker with his pacifier and he's out within 5 minutes for naps. I still hold him though 20 minutes until putting him down. At night I can put him down sooner. cali I hope you feel bettwr...that sucks I have the headache from hell and I think it's my period coming. When I wiped today thete was a tinge of red. Ugh not looking forward to a period after a year.

I thought my period was coming. I spotted a little, then nothing. It’s probably still going to be fucked up and I’ll need birth control to regulate.

Ok so I sized up in diapers because the size 1 seemed almost too small. Now she is having pooplosions up her back in the 2’s and soiling clothes. Shouldn’t the bigger diaper not be causing this???? Im confused, help!

E was diagnosed with thrush at her 2 month appointment. We got nystatin for her. I'm thinking I should ask my Dr for something for me so we don't just pass it back and forth to each other.
And also, do I need to throw out all my frozen milk? Because I will cry. I have like 500 oz thanks to a serious oversupply that I finally got under control.

I don’t know the answer to this but omg I hope not! I would cry too 😢 I also think you need meds too with thrush

I found this on kellymom: kellymom.com/bf/concerns/child/thrush-expressed-milk/Not sure that answers your Q. Do you have better googling skills than me? — probably — or id ask an LC.

Does my kid know about the time change? He slept a lot yesterday and now is up after 2.5 hours. What the heck? He normally sleeps 5 or 6 hours his first stretch. I'm hoping it's just a fluke because I'm beat.
Also, when will they start consolidating naps? J still takes about 6 naps a day and they are all an hour or less except one midday.

Im confused, help! This happened when we tried to move from newborn to size 1 too early. They were just too big. Maybe that's what is going on with you?

Ok so N has been having these poopsplosions, too. But I’m confused bc he is 15+ lbs and clearly doesn’t fit in size 1 anymore but sometimes the size 2 seem a little large but maybe It’s just the brand? I loved huggies size 1 we got from the hospital so I bought huggies size 2 and I’m not the biggest fan of them. Maybe I’ll try another brand?

The size range always said she fit when she didn’t. Yeah I think all brands vary. I just realized I had some size 1’s in the closet so I’ll try them again and see if it helps

Yeah when J hit 8npounds I tried size 1 diapers and he was peeing out of them. We stayed in newborn diapers an extra pound because he has a lean torso. Size 1 fit great now. I'd try size 1 again and see how it goes .

He woke up from a nap and ate around 7:30p 6oz, then took another 2+ oz at 9:30p, then fell asleep until 1am, took 6oz, then slept for 3hours til 3:30am(/old 4:30am), took 3oz, then was wide awake for an hour plus, finally fell asleep around 4:45am, and slept til 7:30am. It’s not like he’s not getting a good amount of food!!!

R slept from 7pm to 4am (but, it was actually 5am old time). She took a little while to fall asleep again, but then slept until 7:30am new time.
R seems more interested in toys toys. So, that’s exciting! T is a little confused by our excitement, because she thinks she’s going to be really playing soon.

M slept 9-11 and then 1-5:30, then was up for the day. I usually can get her back to sleep from like 6:30-9 but no luck today. She took like a 30 min nap in her crib from 7:45-8:15. Her baptism is this afternoon. I hope she's not a beast!

addymac, I think some babies just take longer to sttn. I don't think there's any way to control it, it just takes time. M doesn't really sttn, but she has usually been giving me one good 5-6 hr stretch which is kind of like sttn for her I guess. I hope N starts giving you some longer stretches soon!
