Ugh. N slept like crap tonight. He took 5.5oz at 9:30pm, we thought for sure with that much, he'd sleep like 5 hours. Oh no. He was up at 12:30 and 330am! And he was SO noisy and fussy in between feeds- he kept grunting and snorting and farting between 12:30 and 0330, I finally pulled him into our bed and BF at 0330 and then pumped and now I'm still wide awake.
And today is DHs first day back at work- he's rotating in the medical icu and this rotation is a legit 80 hours/week one- so I feel awful that he was awake basically every hour of not more bc every time N lost his paci he'd start grunting and snorting and wiggling out. Sigh. Poor guy. Idk what we are going to do. I feel like I should move into the baby's room but DH is adamantly against that, which I get, but I feel like right now, with these rotations, his sleep is rather important. Sigh.

P went 6.5 hours between feeds last night (fed at 10:30, slept 11-5). That's her longest stretch yet. I love it, my boobs do not LOL.
Does anyone else's baby hate the car seat? With DS, he was lights out as soon as we buckled him in. DD...basically just the opposite.

R slept the past two nights for 7 and 6 hours. So, I've felt better with getting more sleep. She still cries out and grunts a lot, so I wake up - but, I'm able to fall back asleep. jexxa both T and R have done well in the bucket seat.

jexxa mine is not a fan of the carseat. He's only good with it if he's constantly moving so I try to put him in right before we go. addymac My dh is a really light sleeper. With DS1, we stayed in the same room partly bc I was worried it would be bad for our marriage if we slept in separate rooms and bc we didn't see the need to. With this one, I've dragged the cushion from our chaise lounge into the nursery, and I sleep in there while dh sleeps in our room with DS1 who still co-sleeps. We did this mainly bc we didn't want DS2 waking ds1 (nightmare, lol!). But it's actually worked really well. Ds2 is super snorty/grunty when he sleeps and I think he'd disturb dh. We may move him into our room once he starts sleeping longer, or I may just sleep in the nursery for 6 months, lol.

Yikes- I woke up with a migraine. Hopefully I can get it to go away quickly.
DS was a really noisy sleeper the first couple months, and I ended up moving into the nursery with him for a little while so DH could sleep. His job requires alertness so I didn't want him struggling with sleep deprivation. I'll probably end up doing the same with DD here soon. DH goes back to work tomorrow. I'm not ready!

Hudson is so different, he is iffy with the car seat. He sometimes likes it an d sometimes he screams the whole time.

This mornings my was my first solo morning! It went better than I thought it would, although my toddler is pushing my buttons. My MIL is coming in a few. I told her she could come and help, but now I am kind of like wish I didn't. I have had my mom or mil over since my DH went back to work. It was great since I ended up having health issues, but now I am ready to get into my groove.
Plus they get on my nerves. Don't get me wrong, love and appreciate help, but not the comments or opinions. It will be a long few days since my DH is finalizing budgets so chances are he will be home late for a few more nights.

So we are taking J to the doctor because of him spitting up and then vomiting last night. I hope he's ok. I'm sure he is but we'll go see just in case.

Ugh, our a/c went out on Saturday and of course it's been super hot here and is supposed to stay in the upper 80's all week. We were going to try to tough it out until next summer because it's so close to fall/cool weather but it was such a sweat box in here yesterday that even M was sweating so we broke down and called the repair guy. $500 later our a/c is working but ouch, that was not nice for the budget.

My mum is ill again. High fever, coughing like whoa etc. Looks like another pneumonia. This is the 4rth pneumonia she has had since January and she is still recovering from her heart infarct and pneumonia late July early August. I'm so incredibly worried... 😢

So the pedi just called, P's kidney is still "mildly" enlarged so we're being referred to a urologist. Ughhhh 😔

Sleep has been inconsistent here at night but thankfully she doesn't seem to want to stay awake for long MOTN

I just randomly let down and it made me think back to the convo about how some people can't feel their letdown. Does anyone else randomly let down? It usually happens when P hasn't fed in a few hours, but she ate an hour or so ago. I'm just sitting here on my laptop lurking the GD board while P naps on my chest, lol.

So they want to keep an eye on him and we are to call if he projectile vomits again or starts throwing up milk after every feeding. They told us what bottle to get for him and said they'd see him in 1 week to check him again. We already have an appointment next Monday so that works out. They said he could have some stomach trouble but since he's gaining weight he looks ok. BIG news: You know he didn't gain any weight from week 1 to week 2. Well, in the past 11 days my big boy has gain 1 FULL POUND! I'm so happy! jexxa, I'm sorry to hear about P's kidney. I hope everything is ok. muscari, I hope your mom is ok. My great aunt is currently in the hospital with pneumonia and it sucks. addymac, I find no rhyme or reason to sleep and feeding. When I feed J more sometimes he sleeps and other times he is up all night. it's maddening! bsouls, I'm so jealous of your sleeper! I'm just hoping that one day we will get to 4 hours! cwbh928, Glad your first solo day went well!

First day back to work. I'm not sure how I blinked and 12 weeks flew by.
Long days today and tomorrow, working and computer training 7-630 both days. According to H neither kid missed em this morning. I'm not sure if he was trying to make me feel better, but it kinda worked. I've already switched days with a co-worker so I can take a day off this week so they don't have to be with MIL 4 full days.

muscari, I hope your mom is okay. jexxa, I hope that P's kidney is just a mild annoyance. When Oliver's kidneys were enlarged on U/S I did a whole lot of research. What I found was that most cases its NBD. FX for you both. With Molly I almost never noticed let down, this time around I usually only notice on the side he isn't feeding from. Bodies are weird.

Crap. I wrote 3 replies over the course of the past hours but none of them got posted.. I kept getting sidetracked by D. and must have forgotten to hit sent all 3 times. She finally settled down and is asleep on my chest now..gonne put her to bed, do my before bed pump session then get some snooze myself! Tempted to skip pumping but worried my boobs will explode MOTN then lol. Will come back and properly comment (and hit post!) later in the night or tomorrow.

muscari I hope your mom is doing well. I always end up on the boards at random hours and never have the energy to respond properly, I hope everyone's babies are doing better and solo days aren't breaking anyone! This week I am working 2 12 hour plus days because of events on campus and MH has 3 12 hour days. Plus we both have to go in on Saturday for a conference. We are still working out how to manage the kids but I am fairly certain one of us won't survive...

muscari I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Sending positive thoughts she recovers quickly 💜 jexxa sorry the u/s wasn't the best news. Hope the urologist can get you in quickly. yellowcat eeks- good luck getting through the week king26 how's baby doing rest of yesterday and today so far? Sorry he was off enough that you had to take him in. cali Gluck on your test today!! 🤞🏼 @ everyone - Hugs Yesterday was my first solo day. It wasn't too bad. The morning was an awful extension of the night and I just wanted more than three hours sleep! Finally I was able to function out of bed. My friend came to visit. She said she would be here between 12:30-1 with lunch. She showed up at 2pm 😒 And then stayed til almost 6 even though DH came home early at 4:30 and I was like does she not get the hint to leave?? I enjoyed seeing her of course, but I was exhausted, had no nap all day, and just wanted to stop entertaining and relax with my H and baby.
