So I BF 2.5h ago and pumped 1h ago (tho just got 15 minutes) and my boobs feel full -ish already again? D. is finally asleep after a bottle (she did drink on the boob for a while but seemed hungry still which didnt surprise me as she drank so lazily... the amount shevdrank did however surprise me... almost 3oz!?) and I am in bed too and just an too exhausted to get up and pump sone more. Fx i won't explode before it is time for D to eat again. I prolly should pump but ugh I just can't. Always worried about ffing up my supply some how by not pumping tho. One time of skipping won't kill your supply. Sometimes sleep is more impt! I've done the same. Go to bed! Feed and pump with her next feed. 💜

This is hard, huh ladies? I mean, people always say it's hard of course, but I didn't think it was always hard. I'm reading and sending out good vibes to you all! I'm just drowning over here with a fussy baby that is super high maintenance.
I'm hoping it's a phase and he'll be growing out of it soon. My sanity is slowly slipping away from lack of sleep. 😬

muscari Good luck with the pediatrician appt tomorrow! @easilyunamused This stage is hard. I realized I don't remember much of DS1's newborn days, and I think the sleep deprivation just makes everything a blur. We all have colds except for dh. Yay. Fortunately, I have it the worst. Baby H just has a stuffy nose, but I'm going to set up the humidifier tonight, hoping it helps. He is entering the first leap and is now super clingy. He usually gives us a 3 hour stretch at night, one 2 hr, and then 2 one hour, but last night I got ONE 1 hr stretch and the rest was rocking him in the chair. He can't keep this up forever though. He will sleep eventually! Good thing they are cute and cuddly. I gave him a bath today, so he's nice and clean with fluffy hair.

Sounds like a lot of us are having a rough time right now. Hugs ladies. I keep telling myself it will get easier.
After J had a very rough day DH and I got into a huge fight about my parents and breastfeeding it was bad. He got mad because J wadcrying and nothing was working and basically told Me to give up trying to breastfeed. I was really hurt. Then He was a jerk about my mom which is nothing new but was hurtful. We made up but you can't take back what was said. Plus j was super clingy all day and was only sleeping on me and for 30-40 minutes. I had him all day by myself then H comes home, hears him cry for 20 minutes, and takes him in the car. I spent 8 hours calming the kidnwithout a car then he takes him so I was mad. Bad day overall, I hope today is better. We have our 1 month appointment today

king26 ugh I'm sorry about the fight and Js fussiness all day. Hugs. I hate fights where hurtful things are said and it ends up a "you can't take back what you said" scenario. Hugs.

Hopped on here in case anyone was around and wanted to chat. I just finished pumping and it's hard to fall asleep right away because the twins should be getting up soon.

happyfeet9 muscari I'm here! N slept til 3am and then only took one boob so I have to pump bc my L side hurrrts. He fell asleep in the swing in the living room so I slept on the couch bc I was too worried that I wouldn't hear him from our bedroom at the other end of the apt. do your LOs sleep in the same room as you right now?

king26 I am so sorry about your nasty fight with YH. There have been a couple of ugly ones here as well over the past weeks, always on the topic of BF and whether or not D was hungry /getting enough / should be fed formula supplements etc. MH always has been supportive of BF but real easily would go the formula route which made me feel like crap and worried it would just mess up my already sucky supply. Hurtful stuff has been said here as well and at one point I said that unless we would quit fighting over this I was going to give up BFing myself as I just couldnt handle the bickering and fighting and getting upset and hurt no more. We all want the same which is a happy and fed baby but I do think that our Hs dont always really understand BFing properly? Sucks that your day was so incredibly sucky and on top of that there was a fight and everything. I hope today will be a better day and GL with the pedi appointment! Ours is this afternoon as well.

I'm up too. Hey ladies. I'm hoping today will be better as we have already gotten more sleep then normal. J went to bed at 8 so we did too and he slept 4 hours initially then 1.5 then 2.5 so I've had 6hours already and DH has had 7.5 so today should be better sleep and mental wise. Is everyone up feeding?

addymac hi!! 👋 We have a bassinet for D in the livingroom which we planned to use for daytime but she has not yet slept upstairs heh. I am sleeping in the livingroom together with D - we still had a bed set up there from when I was down with my ankle, and it came in handy after the CS as well so I didnt have to go upstairs etc. MH slept on the couch the first week but I sent him upstairs cause it was killing his back. Plus I started soloing nights at the same time cause he needes the rest with going back to work and all. I am hesistant somehow to move to the bedroom.. I worry we will be keeping MH awake and that just seems unnecesary esp since he cant really do anything in the MOTN anyway. No use him getting up to just change a daiper when I am up already anyway? Tho sometimes it does seem luxe to have him change her and bring her to me and I d only have to BF her. So we may start doing that on weekends.. it may make MH appreciate the fact I solo during the week so he can sleep uninterupted 😎

king26 I'm sorry, I hate fights like that 😔 addymac yes, P is sleeping in the RnP right next to our bed. Speaking of, for some reason P has been extra noisy in her sleep tonight and it's basically kept me up all night. I don't understand how H sleeps through this. Also just wanted to say that apparently at 6w PP I'm still a bit weepy too. Saturday I basically cried all day. At one point H had to come take P from me because I just couldn't get it together. It was bad.

muscari I thought we would bother h but we don't. He rarely wakes up motn when j criesu unless I wake him.i got him up at 2 so I could pump since J hadn't breastfed in hours due to our fight. I pumped 2 oz which is a new record and sucks since I think I'm winding down on BF

king26 I hope you are getting some more snooze!! Yay for pumping 2oz that is awesome! I have had a couple of big hauls myself the past cple days but as d has been such a fussy amd difficult drinker I wondered whether that was mostly cause SHE hadnt drunk it so i could pump it. No clue whether it works that way heh. We did have to give her multiple bottles yesterday since my bfing sessions didnt satisfy her. She seems to be latching and drinking worse and worse and I just don't know why or how to fix it. Just fed her a 2oz bottle of pumped milk.. she took 3oz before bedtime yesterday - we never had to supplement that much..

According to WW D finished her first leap and should be a happy baby again. Well the past 2 days she s been fussier and cried more then ever before. MH and I honestly havent a clue no more. Is she hungry? Am I doing BFing wrong ? Is the thrush bothering her too much? Are we doing something else wrong?? I am glad I got enough pumped milk in the fridge to give her extra bottles but it makes me feel really insecure about BFing too. Plus I should pump everytime we give her a bottle I guess to keep my boobs thinking baby been drinking etc but half the time I dont get the oppertunity to do so when soloing. Which makes me feel even more insecure and sucky. jexxa I didnt start getting this weepy until laat week orso... the first weeks I felt so neutral and only cried for real when I saw the pics made with the CS. I would tear up and cry when D was crying badly cause of cramps but that was mostly it. Now lately I feel so weepy.. i think tis cause I am overly exhausted by now? But well I will just cry when I feel like I have to - hopefully it will help release some emotions and or stress etc. king26 there is no set or mandatory date to stop BFing.. if you feel maybe supply is picking up or feel better about pumping now that you get some more you are allowed to change your mind and decide to keep it up a little longer. Or not. Tis all good as long as you feel okay about your decision. I am wondering whether i should try EP for a little while cause D seems to be taking the bottle easier then my boobs half the time now and that way at least we know how much she really gets.. But for some reason I cant make up my mind..

Wow, I actually managed to get D to fall asleep. Guess that bottle did the trick (it usually does, which makes me sad.. cause it used to be me and my boobs that helped her fall asleep and now she so often still seems hungry?). I have an hour before we have to leave for out pedi appointment, so I guess I best get some of the things done I wanted to do and get dressed, then get D. ready for her appointment.

You know, I honestly don't know whether her weight gain is appropriate or not. guess we'll find out soon enough since she'll be weighted properly this afternoon for the first time in weeks. Last weight in on a baby scale was when she was 10 days old... we weighted her on our regular scale a couple of times just to get an estimate and she has gained weight but whether tis enough? When I filled in the weight in my app she dropped from around 50 percentile to 25 percentil which freaked me out badly ugh. And I know the bottle feedings are working for her but are they working long term for my milk supply as well I worry, especially since I can't seem to get in as many pumping sessions as I'd like on most days
