It's really not terrible but I needed an alliteration and that's all I could think of. Must procure coffee.

Morning. It's already a rough work week. I'm hoping to turn it around today. I wish I still drank caffeine.

I'm drinking coffee while checking the traffic. My sister flys in at 7:45 so I need to pick her up.

Hi! I've been in unpacking hell. We are mostly all moved in. There's lots of crappy things about this house. For example: there are only TWO drawers in the entire kitchen. 2! And you can't open one all the way bc it hits the knob of the other drawer. And neither of them open bc the track was painted and it sticks now. It's just a small sample of the weird things here. But I do like it more than the old house. It's very cozy here. Just getting used to its quirks.
I hope everyone is good. I haven't really been here so I have no clue if I missed anything big. Please let me know if I did.
School started yesterday and adam is not wfm so it's my first time alone here. I'm excited for quiet. It's been months!

And use a bar of soap on the tracks to make them slide easier.

Hi there! I am looking at all the options for B's ballet for the upcoming season. I am looking at a different program to what we did last year. And I am a little over all the costs, but I know she loves it. So bye bye money. MH seems to think its worth it.

peachsmama I took the knob off one of the drawers. It's got a groove underneath to pull the drawer out. They are supposed to come fix them along with putting back all the shelves out of two cabinets the painters never put back. Oh. And my bedroom door sticks so bad that you can't open it at all if you are inside it. Fun times!!!

It's those little things that drive me nuts.

Morning. I need to pack. My moms knee is so swollen and Mei is useless at this point according to the doctors. We rearranged things with the builder and he's now doing our top floors first, so that the downstairs area is liveable. My parents will stay here for the first three weeks of our reno, after that we can see how mobile my mom is. They might go on vacation for a week or so after. I feel really guilty about this, but don't see any other solution that won't cost thousands of dollars. Now we need to buy and decide everything incl. tiles for the kitchen, bathroom, definitive choice of colour for the kitchen, knobs for drawers, countertops, bathroom suite and that's just the start of my list. I think I might go crazy.

melaniesue 2 kitchen drawers? I couldn't imagine how to make that work with all the crap I have. Guess it would be a good way to make me get rid of shit I don't use often!

I'm irritated by some of my coworkers. I feel like they are trying to get my guy runner fired. Smokey was bitching about what he bought at the store as if he gets to choose what is purchased. Nope the receptionist gives him a list. Then she made the comment, "Never send a man to do a woman's job." uh....last I checked grocery shopping wasn't a woman's JOB.
Yesterday she bitched at him telling him he needs to start telling people if he is going somewhere. He went to the bank to do the deposit. He told the receptionist where he was going and I knew where he was. Smokey never asked me if I knew where he was.
I'm just annoyed this morning and their mouthing off is annoying the crap out of me.

@yummee, we'll start gymnastics around Christmas time, and I'm surprised at how affordable it is compared to dance. I guess all of the extras of dance (shoes, costumes, recitals) really add up.

melaniesue we have limited kitchen drawer space in this house, too. Drives me nuts! Three drawers (one is itty bitty and one is screwy/slightly broken) and a 4th in the island. And we're paying a premium for these lousy drawers, too...location location location. Le Sigh. #joysofrenting

melaniesue two drawers! Yikes, does it have lots of other storage at least? I'm glad you like the house though! tgrimes are your parents driving you crazy yet? It's moving day for us!!! Finally!! We are getting the kids off to school and then going to the truck place. It's mostly just the big things and a few boxes so I'm hoping we can get everything in two trips. Our contractor is still finishing our upstairs tiles so I think we're going to stay at my parents house for the next week while he finishes. But at least everything will be in and I can start unpacking and organizing a little!

As long as there is a open spot they will take him any time. IDK why but I don't want to do that. I want him to start with everyone and not be "behind" which probably isn't even a concern in preschool. Idk. depending on when he trains I might just wait until next year.

Sorry, I just need to get this out -- TW . . . . one of our employees died last night. He had a heart attack. Personally, I am not feeling the loss as much as I know other employees will as I did not really know him (so no hair pats needed). But I am stunned and hate the thought that one day, someone is there and then they go home and have an unexpected heart attack and never come back to work. My boss is telling his co-workers now and I am working on an announcement for the rest of the company.

That is sad yummeecookee, it puts things into perspective about how fragile life is and not to take things for granted. I'm sure it's going to be a rough emotional day at your office.

He's a farmer and takes his dogs everywhere with him. His wife came home from work at the end of the day and his dogs were in the truck and it was running and he was no where to be found. She found him in his garage, he must have forgot something and ran back in for it. They have no idea how long he had been there and the poor dogs in truck. He was 52, so young.

Idk. depending on when he trains I might just wait until next year. I get it. Josie started her twos program in November because they wouldn't take her until she was officially two. She started her threes program on time in September, but had some terrible separation anxiety issues in October and didn't go back in till almost January. I saw no difference in how she, her peers or her teachers handled her not being in the class with everyone from the beginning, but I had a harder time with it because I felt like she missed things like celebrating her birthday with her classmates or not completing certain projects that they do on a monthly basis. When we got her end-of-the-year art and writing portfolios, there were a lot of blank pages. If I can step away from that idea, it is helpful because i can see that it didn't change how she dealt with the socialization or the academic piece of it, but I understand how that that is easier said than done.

To me the socialization aspect is the most important piece of preschool, vs the academics. Bradley had kids start 'late' both years he's been enrolled.

I'm sorry yummeecookee. Even if you didn't know him well, it's always startling when something like that happens, and very sad for his family/friends/colleagues.
