I always wanted to do dance when I was a kid but we didn't have the money. I'm not bitter... One of the dance schools by me (not Josie's) had a group of moms who were interested in adult tap. The school hired another instructor and the moms took class while their girls did their own class. They had two numbers in the recital and everything. There's still a chance for you, @cagolfi!

All this talk about "friends" is very interesting to me. Half the time this past year, I'd ask B about someone at school and he just seemed so unaware of his classmates, their names, etc.--like he just couldn't be bothered. Now all of a sudden, he talks about "friends" a lot. I said something yesterday about how he'll make friends at his new preschool, and he said, "How do I make friends, mommy?" It about broke my heart. So we talked about it a bit and he asked if his new school would be like his old one, etc., then started naming kids who were in his class this past year! He DID know their names, lol. 3 has kicked my butt at times from a parenting perspective, but I think watching these kids develop and expand their world is so cool. Truer words, my friend...

trtlcrzy I'm sorry for your family's loss. Your dad's mom is the one who passed a few weeks ago, right? Good thing you checked, guster. Yes, I just saw my uncle 2 weeks ago. He wasn't in the best health and it sounds like they think he had a heart attack.

Yeah dance can get crazy. I always wanted to do dance/gymnastics, but I only lasted a few weeks in gymnastics at like 6 before my parents realized I might be a little to aggressive/competitive. So off to soccer I went. cagoldi if we lived close I would totally join an adult dance class with you to live out my childhood dreams!

I learned to throw a mean punch and toss grown men around, so it's not all bad LOL

I always wanted to do dance when I was a kid but we didn't have the money. I'm not bitter... This was the reason my sister and I were slightly...ahem...over-scheduled as kids. My granddad was a police officer so my mom didn't have a lot of the 'extras' as a kid--so she wanted to make sure we did. If I expressed even the slightest interest in something, she'd sign me up. I remember one memorable year where I'd be struggling into a bathing suit in the backseat headed from ballet to swim team. I think my mom realized her own insanity and lightened up a bit at that point.

I'm so sorry trtlcrzy. Also sucking this Tuesday....my sister's BIL fell down his stairs today. He's in ICU with several broken bones and a brain bleed. They have him in a medically induced coma. My sister is struggling with weather to tell the kids about it now or wait a few days till he is hopefully better, so they don't have to worry so much.

I'm sorry @trtlctzy. We've had some years like that in our family, too. You almost get afraid to pick up the phone out of fear for 'what's next?' I'm glad you were able to see your uncle recently. lfig I'm sorry to hear about your sister's BIL, too. How tough for his wife and kids; hope he makes a full recovery.

My dad is out of surgery & in recovery. They saw mild improvement in the OR and they're hoping to see more in the next few weeks. They'd like him to get up and walk around tonight but it will depend on how he does in recovery.

C had a diarrhea accident at school. They said he looked flushed and it was noted his urine was dark yellow earlier in the day. His urine was dark because he didn't pee all night and refused to go before school. He's been totally fine and no fever so if his poop is normal he will go to school tomorrow. I hope it is because he is full energy and I have a lot to do at work. Oh and I don't want him to be sick, but that's a given. I think it was a combo of double breakfast and two yogurts and blueberries at lunch.
