At first I woke up and thought it was Friday. Nope, not right. Is it Thursday then?! Oh, not yet. It's Wednesday.

J was taking forever to fall asleep so after 30 minutes, I left him in there crying. He was asleep in 5 minutes. He did wake up at 5 and after almost 10 minutes of crying, H went in to lay with him.

The week is going so slowly! Library today, but not much else. Meal planning is way harder when food and cooking sound terrible.
Been trying to figure out winter clothes for the kids. How much do you buy? I feel like we always have way more than needed so I'm hoping to cut back this year.

mommabakes I also have too much clothing for M. We get hand me downs, then I shop sales and consignment sales. But since I sell a good bit at consignment sales I koko. Basically, I'm no help 😂

I bought a ton of shorts at a consignment sale in the spring. It seemed like too much but it really wasn't. Long pants are going to be hard because 18 months still fit his waist but are too short.

mommabakes, i forget, do you live where it snows? I on the other hand never feel like i have enough winter clothes for the kids or myself. Granted we live in Fl. but it still gets down to the 30's and 40's at times. I dress the kids in layers, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts and sweaters or sweat shirts with jeans that i rotate thru (like 2 or 3 pairs for the week)and long socks.

I was like i don't know, that's like 2 years away right? She laughs...no i think they start at 5...you don't know.. My reaction below

layloo an escape room sounds fun. Let us know how it goes. I'm always afraid I'd just get stumped and we'd sit there for the rest of the time 😂😂

mommabakes I am a minimalist when it comes to clothes for w and buy as needed. I make sure I have good layering pieces for a week and a half, a thick sweatshirt, a good solid jacket, etc. And then buy as needed if I notice we're going through an item too quickly (I washed so many pants as we potty trained). I usually go to consignment stores and see what I an find there but I buy his pants at target because he had a tiny little waist. I don't know where you live so you may need thicker clothes or thinner ones depending if you actually get a winter. We don't really so I just do lots of layers.

I so wish I could buy at consignment shops. All of the ones around me only have very dated, pretty well worn clothes. And they aren't much cheaper than what I get on clearance at other shops :/ A week and a half sounds like a good amount booarogue !

W slept for shit last night and I didn't get to sleep until 1 so I'm dragging ass today. It's days like these that I wish I had a baby sitter so I could have someone take care of w while I got all the shit done around the house. People who use non family babysitters how did you find them?

P is the only granddaughter on both sides of the family, plus our friends have a daughter 1 yr older and pass along her hand me downs, so I rarely buy her anything— she has so many clothes!

People who use non family babysitters how did you find them? I got a rec from the babysitter a friend uses. (So our babysitter is a friend of my friend's babysitter— babysitters usually know other babysitters.) I also sometimes use someone who was recommended through my neighborhood parenting group— do you have anything like that? Ours is mainly just a list serve and people are always putting up recs for babysitters and nannies, as well as using it for bst.
