Decided to do my workout tonight and rest during E's nap. I just had a dream I was trapped in a haunted house. That's cool. 😕

Trying to teleconference in on the Parental Advisory Committee with daycare was a bust. It was like I was in a horrible cell zone with the quality. Thankfully that person that leads it is my neighbor that is coming over for dinner tonight so he'll get my caught up.

And doesn't after dinner clean up involve wiping the counters and table?!?! Not to my BF - nor does wiping the kids seats off. I HATE putting them in their chairs for breakfast after he "cleaned" the night before.

I HATE putting them in their chairs for breakfast after he "cleaned" the night before. I am horrible at remembering to wipe down the tables. Mostly because K grazes, so I'm usually still taking things off the table as we are getting ready for bed. I was doing really well in the beginning of the year, I need to get back to it!

mommabakes I usually buy at least 5 pairs of pants, 8 shirts, and 1-2 sweatshirts or fleece zip-ups for each kid plus a winter coat and some dress clothes. Then there's always a few extra pieces I'll buy on clearance because it's a great deal or something is really cute.

Cut off here is 8/31... N's bday is 9/1. We will most likely challenge it. MH and I both started at 4yo, almost 5. Our bdays are 9/6 and 9/10z Our cutoff is 8/1 and I know it's going to be an issue. It's one of the earliest cutoffs in the country. Abigail's birthday is 8/12 and there's no way I'm going to make her wait until she's 6 to start kindergarten. I'm already anticipating a battle because I don't think the school district will take them early.

Our district has something called kinderacademy that kids with late birthdays may-aug who can go here. If they think they are ready for 1st grade that's where they go, if they think they need another year of kinder then they stay in kindergarten. They I think is the teacher and parents.
We might go that route. But either way E will be doing the Spanish school like big bro

It's so aggravating. I'm actually hoping we move out of state before then (could be a possibility). If not, I'll petition to let her test in. If it comes down to it I'll pay for a year of private kindergarten and then I think the district will have to take her for first grade regardless of the cutoff. The whole thing is so stupid. All because of 12 days.

I feel it's too early to know about kindergarten for us. M is currently plenty ahead of the cutoff, but I've heard it might be moved due to how early school starts here. But we'll base of we want to try and hold him back a year based on his maturity at that time. I currently think he'll be fine, but I'm not ruling that option out.

My mom got in a car accident today. Nobody was hurt, thankfully but I had to go pick her up and I think her car is probably totaled. The other driver hit her head on while turning left, she just didn't see her. The other driver had kids in the car and my mom helped her get them out of the car because the mom was basically having a panic attack. I can imagine how scary it would be!

He is a small guy (as is Mh) and I know they say keys always develop a little later. This of course depends on his abilities and where he is. If I think he is able, I will try to fight to get him in. I kind of hate the idea him being 17 right before college starts. To me, it sounds so young. Idk.

Pizzaslut I agree about not liking how young they are for college. 8/31 is the cutoff here, so she will make it and I think she will be fine starting kindergarten then, but when I imagine her at 17 getting ready for college, that breaks my heart. I want her to repeat her senior year, haha. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

E was asleep before 7 tonight. He is just so tired. He woke up a couple of minutes ago though and I changed usual strategy. Instead of waiting a to see if he could calm himself (which he never does...) I went right in. He was crying, standing up and holding his bunny saying "oh gosh, oh gosh." So sweet. I rubbed his back and he sat down right away and after a couple more minutes laid down and was back asleep.
