Anyone ever read any Tana French books? I got an email that I won one of her books through Good Reads. The books have been on my TBR but Iโve never read any. They have mixed reviews.

I've been in a Stephanie Plum groove. Usually have to wait on the next book when I finish one but here lately where I'm at in the series they've been available.

I really like her books, although they do tend to be a bit slow and theyโre frequently long so I can understand why they wouldnโt be for everyone.

I havenโt read one I didnโt like, but I always complain while reading that they are too long. She does the thing where she tells about an event from multiple view points a lot.

I was struggling to get into The Cruel Prince, so I set it aside for a bit and ripped through Filthy Rich Fea by Geneva Lee which was quick and good. Very Beauty and the Beast adjacent, but if the beast was involved with the Mafia. It was a whole thing, but it was good. The next one comes out in April, but the preorder appears to be for a physical book only, which I don't want, so that's annoying. I may check out some of her other work.
I'm going to start Along Came Holly tonight.

I wasn't in the mood for the next Santa Cruise novel after all so I went 180 degrees the other way and started Last Christmas in Paris. I haven't read a lot of WW1 historical fiction (compared to WW2) so I hope to learn from it while being whisked away from 2024 reality!

Iโm enjoying how my neighbor stole Christmas but itโs too long. I still have like over 100 pages left and I donโt know what else they can do for 100+ pages

I still have like over 100 pages left and I donโt know what else they can do for 100+ pages I have this on my kindle and am just not gravitating to it. I think holiday romcoms and cozy mysteries should top out at about 250 pages. Nearly 500 is just too much.
