5-15 is the recommended time per hour to start. 30 is not a good start point. You wouldn't decide you are running a marathon and start off with a 10 mile run. You work up to it. You need to raise your laptop or get another monitor. Looking down is a huge contributor. Your shitass employer should have fixed that eons ago. I have another monitor. I posted the set up on FB last night if you want to see it. Just didn't have the room to set it up until I got the desk, I put it off too long. My own fault, not my boss's. I saw that you have one monitor and your laptop. OMG ARE YOU WORKING ON ONE SCREEEN?@!?! Ma'am it is 2024. Get a second monitor already.

I’m loving that all 3 kids are in swim lessons this year, and my H and I get time to run while they have them. We did a 5k together and in total it was 9k for me this evening.

Another night, another sick kid sleeping on me all night, another morning missed. Oh my God, I'm going to lose my mind.
I had to REALLY drag my ass downstairs to half ass a short workout after school.
20 minute run with Camila 10 minute upper body strength with Ben 5 minute core with Callie 5 minute stretch with Hosky
Yoga tonight. I skipped it last night to watch the Bills game, so getting that in tonight would be nice.

I skipped yesterday because I felt mildly ill, maybe caught DS’ cold (he stayed home yesterday from school) so I went to bed early but slept terribly.
Better today so I tried day 1 of more serious lifting program today was is pre-testing and lololololol nope. Something in my left quad felt like it was cramping after each squat and shoulders felt all around awful. So. Came home to hydrate and eat and hopefully sleep better tonight.

I was able to hit just over 3 miles between walking the dog and a quick walk to clear my head. I felt really run down too but i think that was stress. I feel better today. Trying to get all the work in before all the practices (3 of them) tonight and before the storm hits. And to top it all off, school is already cancelled for tomorrow. Hoping to get in another 3 miles today!

After almost a year of waiting for a rear guard, I was finally able to get it ordered and it should be arriving today. Previously whenever I called or chatted with CS, they've told me it wasn't available and even tried to send me a whole new base with the rear guard attached. So pointless and a huge waste of $$! Now that I got someone who knew what they were actually doing, I'm excited to get this installed. My daughter, who is super into running, can now finally use the tread + safely.

Ugh, hi.
20 minute run. That's it. That's all I get today.
DD2 ended up in our bed again, which she has every single night for like, months now? She's heavy sleeper and was out, so I planned to slip out and run, then fucking DS came in and attacked me at 3:45 this morning. Kicking and flopping on top of me, and just generally being a crazy person. Oh my God. He fell asleep at like 4:30 and I could have gotten but I was salty and out of fucks.
I JUST WANT TO GET UP AND RUN A LOT OF MILES OH MY GOD.

Oh my God I'm up.
Despite the dog barfing on the bedroom floor at midnight, DD2 trying to sneak into our bed shortly after and H making her go back, just for her to sneak in later anyways, I peeled myself up. It was an immense struggle, but I'm happy I did. I remembered halfway through my run that I have a meeting after school too, so running after school would have been difficult at best. Anyways.
30 minute pop run with Camila 5 minute core with Olivia 5 minute stretch with Camila
I got a late start, so that's it. My legs are barking despite my lack of mileage and I know it's the lack of yoga doing it, so yoga tonight is non negotiable. I got my 18K badge during my run though, which was a lovely surprise at least.

One of my favorite Meetup groups is called Run N Chug. We meet at a bar/brewery, run about 4 miles, and then come back and eat and drink.
Yesterday I took off with the people at the front and a lot of people got stuck at a light. Of course they were all men so I had to keep up with them because I never memorize the route 😂 The good news is my pace was pretty good at 8'15". I'm such a dumbass, though, because we started running at 7:00 and I'm in all black and I didn't bring my vest! Super dumb. Next week I'm going to bring my light and my vest.
It's a super fun group! I'm also in several hiking groups and a trail running group, although I'm not very good at trail running. The trails I've run on here tend to be super rocky/rooty and I'm always worried about twisting my ankle. But the groups are all SO much fun and really welcoming. It's been great getting to know people and also getting in shape at the same time!

Today I wanted to veg for a bit but instead I got out for a 2 mile walk/jog. Go me.

Saw the trainer last night, still progressing on push/pull movements so yay! Maybe someday I’ll be able to do push ups on the ground again (instead of on boxes), as well as pull ups without the band but not anytime soon lol

Also see if they are willing to get added as an in-network provider.

Food has been perfect. Long run tomorrow, which might be partially in the rain since I'll have to split it again and do half during DD2 dance classes. I NEED the miles though.

Hi.
I only did 6 miles. Ugh. I planned to do 6-7 on the tread then 3-4 along the canal while DD2 was at dance for 10 miles, but I felt like absolute trash by mile six and called it. I think the wonky sleep and general feelings of malaise for the last three weeks has finally caught me. I want a nap, badly.
I'll keep food tight. Tomorrow, we'll see.
