I've been alternating between nightly mediations or walks because too much going on in my personal life. Namely taking care of my mom and I'm starting to look at senior living options near me as I am at the breaking point of traveling to care for he. She lives 3 hours north of me and I just can't do the every other week anymore without losing my sanity to say nothing of my husband's patience. It's to the point that I'm contemplating anxiety meds as it's taking a toll and having heart palpitations, even though my heart has checked out fine, is not fun.
My mom is 81 with COPD and it just isn't feasible for her to live on her own at this point.
So I did Susie's 30 min Classical Walk this morning and a 10 min Lower Body Stretch with Adrian afterwards.

Hello.
Still missed some sleep last night and ended up with two kids in bed with me. I slept through my 4am alarm but managed to get up with my late alarm.
15 minute interval run with Hannah 20 minute interval run with Logan 5 minute stretch with Olivia
I still haven't done any yoga this week so I need to do that tonight.

Late start today but got out for a 3 mile run. Tried to keep it easy ish, ran 2, walked 0.1 and ran another 1. It was pretty hot by the end but felt good and summer work paying off.
Now I’m in bed early because I somehow pulled my neck/shoulder. No idea. Maybe in the shower or driving. 😑

I am back in here after being gone awhile. I had surgery the last week of July to repair my prolapse and remove my tubes and I finally have the clear to exercise. I cannot however, lift over 5lbs for 5 more weeks, which seems aggressive, especially since I have a 28lb toddler, but I can do body weight exercises.
So far this week, I have done 60 minutes each day on the treadmill doing incline walks and then some peloton lower body stretches. I am so sore, but it feels good to be able to do it again.
H and I are going to Mexico in October, so I have external motivation.

Chain bench and back to normal deadlifts tonight (I've been doing trap bar since July).
Been doing better with food. At least not eating everything in my general vicinity.

I am so happy to finally be seeing small results of the effort i have been putting in. so yea!!
Yesterday was about a 2.5 mile run in the damn humidity. holy crap, i thought i was prepared to run mid afternoon but fl weather said nope. and it's supposed to be autumn right?

It feels so weird to not be doing anything. I'm restless.
I also feel guilty for people who donated for my race in October now that I have bagged it. I know they're good people and they don't care, but still.

Did they have any suggestions for you to get you back up and running in the future?

After I did my long run last week, everything just went downhill and my neck and upper back feel awful, and I'm too scared to do anything now.

and i mean nice leisurely walks.

Yesterday was a rest day so I did a 30 min low impact ride Today was Day 4 of stronger you - 15 min lower body, 5 min core and 5 min stretch. I can not believe how far i let my strength decline in the past few years (focused on cardio). Hope I’ll be able to walk tomorrow

I did my first run after my half today, just 4 miles. It felt good! My calves are still a little sore.
I still haven't signed up for the Portland Half but I think I will this week. My stomach was SO messed up after the race! Today it's finally feeling better but I've had horrific cramps and other things that need not be detailed all week. I read that all your body's resources go to your legs so that can mess up your stomach, but I also read I should maybe switch to a low FODMAP diet pre-race? BUT the previous weekend I had food poisoning so I'm not sure it that was just lingering from that illness, or if my stomach just got messed up after the race. Either way I'm relieved to be feeling better!

In non-running fitness, I'm really trying to work in more upper body. I want to tone up my upper back and arms. If anyone's looking for a killer bodyweight routine this is SO HARD. There's a shit-ton of push-up variations so consider yourself warned!

I ordered myself a running advent calendar, which I plan on opening during October 😂 What kind of things are in it? The brand is UK based and new to me - bimble & bolt. It has different running gels, snacks, hair ties, socks, stuff like that: bimbleandbolt.com/products/runners-advent-calendar

I definitely don’t feel strong… yet. Let’s hope I can stick to this and add in some runs in the nice fall weather.

I went to a chiro today. I'm cautiously optimistic on his care vs my ortho so I'm going to see him for a few weeks. I also ordered a standing desk today.

Hi. I'm here.
I got up 0/5 mornings this week. Just excellent work on my part. Granted, Monday through Wednesday was a disaster of sickness and kids up all night, but yesterday and today I was fine when my alarm went off at 4am. I had already mentally accepted the L for the week though and just slept through. Yesterday all I did was a 20 minute yoga at bedtime.
Today I did Sam's Marvel Music ride and it was so nerdy and wonderful. It took a lot of effort for me to do a fourth after school workout, especially on a Friday, but that ride won me over. Followed it up with a 5 minute core and a 5 minute stretch. Yoga tonight. Food has been mostly ok. A bit more snacking than I should have done, but I've eaten a lot of veggies this week, so balance or whatever.

Yesterday I did a peloton bodyweight workout with Ben and ran out of time for a treadmill session, but walked DD to kindergarten and walked to pick her up.
Today I did 30 min on the treadmill.

Woof.
9 miles done. I did 5.3 on the tread then ran DD2 over to dance and did the other 3.7 outside. The first eight felt great. That last mile was tough.
Now I'm inhaling a PBJ sandwich and then heading out to Syracuse. I have a tattoo appointment with an old friend from high school and I'm super excited!

It’s been a few days since I’ve checked in, but I’ve been doing something every day, even if it’s just a 30 minute ride. This morning I did Wilpers’ 60 minute PZE and a core class with Callie. Felt good!
My physical therapist wants me to start doing Pilates and a strength for runners class. There’s a place that does a runners strength class IRL near me on Wednesday nights that I might check out. I feel like doing something in person will make me more accountable.
