My youngest has had ::checks calendar:: THREE FULL DAYS OF KINDERGARTEN and I had the pleasure of treating him for lice last night. That’s a first in my 12 years of daycares and schools. Ugh. I’ve been there, it sucks. I would treat everyone in the house and sanitize all hairbrushes, so adults don’t get it (ask how I know 🤢)

Morning.
DD1 turned a positive covid test this morning. Everyone else is negative at this point, but it's only a matter of time. Dammit.
I squeezed in a 30 minute reggaeton ride with Camila, a 5 minute core and a 5 minute stretch. Yoga tonight.
I'm in a good spot for cycling mileage for the month right now, but I'm wildly behind on running miles, which should not be the case a month out from my race. So I'm just going to try and hammer lots of miles at race pace until covid gets me.

jorkzy, lice are the worst! I feel like at least the treatment seems easier than when I was a kid though. cnf, nooooo! I hope you are spared and everyone is on the mend soon!

I was dragging this morning. I went easy with a 30 minute low impact ride with Sam Yo. I’m aiming to get in a barre session later too.

Did 10 yesterday, my first double digit run in almost a year, and holy hell is my upper back sore. Definitely need to keep working on those shoulder blades. The PT I was seeing gave me some more stuff to do at home and validated what I was doing because I can't do any more in person.

Yesterday I did a 45 min PZE ride.
Today I started The Stronger You and had a very humbling Benchmark Test. Man do I feel very out of shape. hoping to stick with it and have time to do my cardio.

Race week!!
Just an easy swim this morning of 1800 yds. Warm up, 3x400 and cool down.
Stayed up too late reading and need to not do that this week.

I did an upper body workout this morning and a walk on the treadmill. My legs feel fine with the exception of my calves, which are still quite sore. I've been getting a lot of use out of my massage gun! My apartment building also has a hot tub, which I used on Saturday, and I think I'll hit the sauna this evening.
I'm actually considering signing up for the Portland Half, which is October 6th. I'm like...already race ready? LOL. This would be my taper week (super light runs starting Wednesday most likely), then a build week, then taper again before the race. I don't think I would beat my time (that definitely wouldn't be my goal) but kind of...why not? IDK. I should probably figure it out soon!

Hello.
I slept like garbage and slept through my workout today. I did some stuff when I got home though.
20 minute interval run with Jess Sims Extra 10 run with Susie 5 minute core with RK 5 minute stretch with Camila
Yoga tonight.
I'm definitely starting to feel sick. I actually felt better while running and for a bit after, but I feel kind of bleh now. If I sleep well and feel ok tomorrow morning I'll get up and run, but it may very well be my last for a few days if I go down. Ugh, HATE.

I was able to fit in 2 mile walk with run club last night despite the rain. It did stop raining while we were out and then it became steamy, eww.
I did something to my back again. Which is why we walked last night. I am stretching and resting it. Hoping it doesn't become an in issue.

9km for me this evening. I signed up for an alternate 10k race next weekend, and we’re going to do a 1km family race after - the first for the kids and they are psyched to get a medal!

Ughhhhhh.
I went to bed a bit after 10pm last night and not ten minutes later DS woke up screeching for me and was inconsolable until H forfeited his side of the bed. I had hoped he'd sleep if he was in bed with me, but nope. He kept sneezing SO MUCH SNOT. Crying, saying he was thirsty, saying he was hungry. He'd fall asleep for 20 minutes then sneeze and wake himself up crying covered in snot. It was so bad. We slept through the 1am hour and the 3 and 4am hours. That was it. I snoozed my late alarm twice then shut it off and got woken up at 6am by DD1. My 8 year old had to get me up for work. Oh my God. The girls went to school, DS stayed home with H, and I went to work and basically tried not to die.
I still worked out when I got home because I just am who I am.
30 minute interval run with Robin 10 minute arms and shoulders with Logan 5 minute stretch with Camila
Yoga tonight? DD1 has her dance class 8-8:45pm and it makes me want to cry.

I squeezed in a quick run last night between dinner and softball game. I forgot my phone but had the dog. Who is so freaking lazy and sat his butt down at .68 miles and refused to keep going forward. So I turned around and was only able to get 1.5 total in. I guess it's better than nothing.
Today will be a rest day unless i can find time to run. with my phone and not the dog.
