Yeah, I was under the impression that BOTM was a business that sold books - not a panel of literary scholars.

I finished Thursday Murder Club and I don’t love it. I don’t know why but I found myself not rushing to pick it back up. I gave it 3 stars.
I need a good thriller next, I haven’t read one in a while. Then I’ll be getting to all of Halloween/fall books on my TBR.

Does anyone else do Amazon First Reads? I’ve had prime for a couple years and never knew about it until a week ago. I feel like I’ve lost out on so many free books. I don’t know what to choose this month, so many look good

emma, yes! We talk about the choices some months. I'm sorry you didn't realize earlier. I’ve probably always assumed it’s related to Kindle Unlimited or BOTM which I don’t have either of. I with Amazon made prime members more aware of the perk |

Or The Stillwater Girls by Minka Kent which I recently finished and thought was good. |

BOTM books are up and people are mad Frieda’s newest is on there I think some of it has to do with the fact her books are all on KU, and also available for really cheap as e-books; plus she's already a really popular author who doesn't need the boost from BOTM (who claim to highlight new voices). Also - as a Canadian who only had four choices this month (no idea why one of the books isn't available here), I'm kind of peeved at BOTM. We pay more for it (I think) and they can't even offer an alternative? |
