My library doesnโt have allegedly ๐ญ๐ญ Oh bummer, itโs a really powerful read. Have you read anything else by her? I also read Mondays Not Coming and The Weight of Blood and they were equally good. Iโve read both of those!

I finished Twenty Years Later. Wow. 5 stars. Just put a hold on it It's intense but such an intriguing story. I started Lily Chu's The Stand-in. I didn't realize it was 400 pages when I downloaded it LOL but like the premise of it. It also gives me hope how Asians can be movie stars nowadays. My mom told me as a kid an Asian like me couldn't ever be famous...sigh. Negative talk like that is why I love hearing about you and your DD.

I finished Pretty Girls. Not bad writing, but that was tough to read. As in, gave me nightmares.
My hold for The Briar Club just came through so started that this morning.

Yeah Pretty Girls was difficult to listen to. The mystery was really good but the graphic descriptions of violence... it was a lot.

I finished Resist Me by Lauren Connelly. It's was the last in the series, but there are more side characters so I'll be curious to see if she adds more to it.
I'm still picking my way through Dawn Of The Cursed Queen. I'm only at 41%. Damn job really cuts into my daytime reading.

Libro.fm is having a promo where you can get Malala Yousafzaiโs audiobook of I Am Malala free for the next couple days. (Libro.fm is like the audiobook version of Bookshop.org, so purchases can be assigned to support local, independent bookstores. Itโs employee owned. I didnโt have an account because I have always just used the public library apps for my audiobooks, but this finally got me to sign up! I love using Bookshop.org and am happy for something similar for audiobooks.)

Bookshops and Bonedust was just as cute as Legends and Lattes. I'd highly recommend both for a cozy fantasy read.
I just started Lula Dean's Little Library of Banned Books on audio and I am very excited (I am the President of our school board and not banning books is absolutely a hill I will die on). I'm 20 minutes in and I have already laughed out loud a few times. It is by the same author who wrote The Change - Kirsten Miller

I am about 30% into A Discovery of Witches and it is such a great fall read, I'm really enjoying it.
I finished Bad Blood and Twelve and I'm sad that I finished The Naturals series, it was fun.

The first is my least favorite of the original trilogy (and still amazing). I like the 2nd best, keep with it!

I am still trying to finish Project Hail Mary - it's interesting but I just havent been in the mood to read much lately. I need to finish it by Monday because it's due back to the library and I can't renew.
I'm listening to And Then There Were None and I have to say Dan Stevens is a delightful audiobook narrator. Looks like he's also done the narration for Murder on the Orient Express, I will definitely give that a listen.

I either need to find some stronger reading glasses or get this on Kindle because the copy I have has very small print.

I finished The Hike by Lucy Clarke and it was a fun thriller - kept me hooked from page 1. 4.5 star read for sure.
I started Dinner on Monster Island by Tania de Rozario, a memoir written in various essays that weaves the authors experience of "growing up as a queer, brown fat girl in Signapore" (author description) with her love of horror and pop culture and two essays in and I am loving it. If the rest are as a good it will be a top 3 read of this year hands down. Her writing and style just hooked me. It's also a short read (less than 200 pages).

I read Spookily Yours by Jennifer Chipman and it was just ok. It really needed to be like a 100 pages longer so it didn't feel so rushed and smashed together. The second book is much long, so I'll start that tonight and hopefully it's better paced.
I'm only 52% into Dawn Of the Cursed Queen. Ugh, it's taking me forever! Stupid job.

I finished The Stand-in and enjoyed it. I don't want to immediately binge her books but will definitely read her again at some point.
I also read Following the Trail by Lynette Eason. It's one of their Love Inspired Suspense (Harlequin's "faith" books). Cute, predictable read by one of my favorite mystery writers.

I finished two books over the weekend! Finally finished Project Hail Mary - I thought it was really good, just took me a while because I wasn't motivated to read (maybe burnt out from cramming three books in a week earlier in the month? Library deadlines, man ). Also finished The Treasured One by Hannah Levin. I saw it when my county library posted about an event Levin was doing at a branch, because she's a local author. I couldn't attend but I love me a romantasy so I reserved it. I enjoyed it, I think the pacing was a little off and some things could have been delved into better, but it was good. Basic premise is a rift appears in our modern world that leads to a fae dimension, and after that some kids are born with the ability to use magic. The FMC developed healing powers as a girl, and has been a public servant ever since. Then her powers start to kill her, so the government arranges for her to go to the fae world to help figure out what's wrong. Next up is Carissa Broadbent's Daughter of No Worlds. A new coworker has leant me her copy of Fourth Wing, too.

I am 1/3 of the way through The Ashes and The Star Cursed King. I like it a lot but I havenโt had much time to read.
My next read is either going to be Gild or When the Moon Hatched.
