Lol, I work for a library so my thought is PAY THE LIBRARY! Libraries are losing funding and cost of ebooks/digital audiobooks continue to increase. They need your support. But also, I'm sorry you have to pay.

I still use my old Virginia library card on Libby and I keep waiting for an email like that. But the library saves us sooo much money that I would otherwise throw at Amazon lol, I would absolutely pay to keep it if I could.

I've been watching The Perfect Couple on Netflix but can't get over the reviews that complain about Nicole's wig.

P.S. DRM in publishing is a crock.

But also, I'm sorry you have to pay. It's one thing I don't mind paying for at all. I know it's not possible for everyone but if it is, libraries are just awesome to support and almost always underfunded.

But also, I'm sorry you have to pay. Well as a resident where itβs easier to get a library card and has been recommended here my first thought was good, lol. Iβm happy to see it tighten up some and hope maybe the hold times will decrease some! Recently it has been in the 1-3 month range instead of 6 month+ plus so itβs helping! But yes fund libraries! Make it easier to get books for everyone!! Fund education! I support all of it!

I love it but I wish they had more space and books because so many kids from the school walk there after school and I love it so much

I know I liked the book but itβs been so long since I read it that I canβt remember what happened Lmao I actually wanted to read it quick before I watched and when I went to goodreads I found that I already had. I vaguely remember it but I expect most will still be surprising haha. I do remember enjoying it though.

One free library card that is actually free to all is the Queer Liberation Library. They have mostly only queer related books but it is really great! And they want patrons!

I finished The God of the Woods last night. Itβs very different from anything else Iβve read this year and I really enjoyed it. It was maybe a tad too long but overall would recommend.

I finished The Silent Patient yesterday and I'm disappointed. It had such a promising plot and then the twist made zero sense given the established narrative. Maybe I missed something? Sigh.
Good audio narration, though.

Good audio narration, though. You missed nothing. That book was so dumb and I donβt understand the hype at all. One of my very few one star ratings on Goodreads.

My library hold came through for If Something Happens to Me but I got a few chapters in and just wasn't feeling it so put it on pause for now. Feel free to tell me to abandon it or go back to it.
I switched to Just for the Summer. Life is heavy right now and I need something that will pull me right in and entertain me. Abby Jimenez doesn't fail.

I don't want to revive the August reading thread but whoever said they wanted to know how I felt about Hey, Hun when I finished...well, I'm not done yet but yikes. I'm not sure if it's her or Rejuvinant that is still making me cringe.

I thought If Something Happens to Me got better as I read. I flew through it once I got going. My vote is to go back to it, but sorry in advance if you do and end up hating it

I read Dark Matter for my book club and I really enjoyed it. I was expecting a little more "thriller" type events to happen but overall, it was a great read. 4.5 stars

I don't remember if this has been discussed before but for the hardcover books you own are you leaving book jackets/sleeves on or tossing them?
Or do you remove the jackets from the books and then keep a stack of jackets somewhere because you can't commit one way or the other? (this is the compromise my brain is making)

And yes, it got very cringe about half way through and I feel like itβs both of them, even though sheβs reflecting on how shitty her behaviour was I felt like she was still making excuses for it. I looked it up after and she sold Roden and Fields, I wonder if places like lularoe were even worse

(I have no advice or system)
