I have a personal brag. I have been coordinating a team volunteer event at work with a local organization that specializes in introducing STEM to girls. I was responsible for creating the deck and writing the "script" for the presentation, I created a custom word search and made props for the little trivia section and got all of the supplies for the hands-on building activity we did. The event was Wednesday, and I was so nervous, but I killed it. I ended up being the MC and giving the presentation (the rest of my team was there to actually field and answer the technical questions) and the whole thing was a huge success. The woman who runs the event said that ours was one of the best presentations they have had because we kept it so fun and interactive. My boss and the rest of the team gave me all kinds of glowing feedback and one of them messaged me this morning thanking me again and telling me how grateful he is to have me on the team.

Then it came back higher up in my shoulder and arm area. Now it hurts when I type (which I do all day) and my bra strap just hurts sitting on the area too.

have someone rub voltaren on it if you can use NSAIDs.  it always helps so much.

It's so weird not having DS here. Yesterday we ate lunch at 3pm and came home and took a nap. I woke up at 7 totally disoriented. Rainy day today so we're hanging at home. I've already gotten some overdue chores done.

I'm hoping I'm in the clear, just been hyper aware of how my face is feeling and other symptoms. I thought I noticed a little bit of a red patch on my forehead on Friday night, but it's not really there anymore. Keeping my fingers crossed for nothing else!

Amazing. We were shocked but so surprised. Our neighbors love her though because she is such an easy kid out. (At home is a different story!) They are already asking for a sleepover ever Friday. 🤣

I am cracking up. DD1 came home from camp---she took cooking and LOVED it--and brought home the recipes. One of them was pizza dough. So we decided to make it yesterday--the measurements were in oz, not cups--so I wasn't thinking it through. Well, apparently AFTER we made it we realized that they cut the recipe in thirds for the campers--we have 24 pizza dough balls in our refrigerator now.

We will never have a shortage of pizza dough again!

C has been in 7th grade for all of 4 days and some little fucker is already bullying her, calling her names and calling her "it". She mentioned it to her therapist yesterday and the therapist encouraged her to tell one of the teachers she likes, and I am going to give her the space and time to do that, but I'm also going to be emailing the school counselor as well. God why are kids so mean. I would DIE if I found out she was bullying someone.

Tell her it's 7th grade and kids can be assholes and it's their insecurity and no reflection of her. 

I would also tell my child to tell the girl to "fuck off."

My baby starts middle school tomorrow. I think he’s matured two or three years in the last couple of weeks. It’s weird but good. I’m excited for him to move up and can’t wait to see how this year goes.

I was so nervous last year but it wound up being a great year for DS! I hope that's true for you too.

6th grade was an adjustment but it was so fun too! Good luck to you both today!

She is spending today trying different hairstyles and her makeup 😭😭

We just did school clothes shopping yesterday for our soon to be 8th grader. It definitely is not for the weak. 😂

Hairstyles she struggles with because her hair super short (which she is used to) but now it is super curly which never happened before so trying to figure that out isn’t easy.

Im so glad she loves it! I believe target has fans on sale right now but I could be wrong

Dd wears a uniform so hair, shoes and accessories are a must for her
