Morning.
45 minute PT tempo run with Susie 10 minute arms and shoulders with Callie 5 minute stretch with Camila
Yoga tonight.
Those freaking pace target classes, woof. Just shy of 5 miles. Felt good, but those tire me out because there's no ability to slack, especially being so type A, I could never.
Picking up groceries then packing the trailer so we can head up to the Adirondacks for the long weekend!

Good morning!
I've been chugging away at CF and running when I can't make it to the gym. Today was one of the running days and I unfortunately had to do it on my tread, because our road is a soupy, muddy mess from the crazy storms we've had these last couple of days.
20 min hip hop run w/ Adrian 10 min extra 10: endurance w/ Marcel 5 min post-run stretch w/ Selena
I had an 8 AM meeting this morning so I cut my run short, rushed my stretching, super quick shower, sat down at my computer.....and a 7:59 cancellation notice pops up. I'm pissed that I rushed to make it, but also very very glad it was cancelled. I was not ready for coherent sentences at that time.

30 minute+ some extra for a 5k this morning, and a short walk though the neighborhood with H and the puppy. Yesterday, I managed about a mile and a half walk with the pup, which was longer than I thought he'd make it.

I didn’t feel the best this morning so I rested a bit. Thankfully that seemed to help. It wasn’t blazing out today so I went for a super easy walk/jog to keep things moving. Got 3.4 miles. My stomach still isn’t 100% but trying to keep up the water Intake at least.

I’ve done nothing besides walking a bit since my half a couple weeks ago (mainly bc the kids and I were on vacation). Yesterday I went to the gym for a session with my trainer and today I get the joy of struggling to sit down and stand up 🤣
I’m at the airport heading to wine country (in BC) for a long weekend with the bf. Excited for winery visits!

Short, hard brick today. We found a good gravel road near one of the bike trailheads so went on that for a bit before starting the run. My shins (not actually shins but one of those dorsiflexion muscles) are doing that thing where they hurt like heck when I’m running after a bike. So that’s fun.

A 1 hr 4 min base run for me for 5.5 miles. Whhhy does Gertie keep giving me these dumb times lol. I felt so good and strong. Easily kept it in zone 2. I’m still loving my new shoes. Everything just feels so smooth. I’m considering taking them out on my long run tomorrow. I usually go for something with more cushion for long run day but I’m thinking about testing the Kinvaras to see if I want to use them for race day.

Hellooooo.
We're up in the ADK with limited service. Really spotty, so I may or may not check in this weekend. I did squeeze in a 20 minute sweat steady low impact, a 5 minute core and a 5 minute stretch before we left. I'll get out for a run through the park tomorrow.

Today was a 1 hr 45 min long run for just a smidge over 9 miles. I’m glad I tested out my shoes on this run. As much as I love them, I think they are a 10K or less shoe for me. If I was faster it probably wouldn’t matter as much but for someone looking at 2.5 hours on my feet for my race, it’s just not enough cushion. Better to find out now than on race day!

Yesterday was a rest day (sort of— there was a lot of walking). This morning I did Wilpers’ encore ride— a tough 45 minute PZ. Then stretching and a quick core workout.

What do you use for your long runs? My new Brooks came and again they are sharp looking and ultra light, but I feel like they’re missing…. Something. I don’t know. 45 min outdoor run yesterday. Today my legs and ankles were sore. Went for a walk and just finished a 10 min ankle & feet mobility and can already feel the difference. SIL wanted to run tomorrow AM but with the humidity expected to break tomorrow night and not ready to get up at 5am again yet, I’m pushing my long run until Monday.

I use the Saucony Triumph 20s for my long runs. They’ve got a nice amount of cushion without feeling clunky. I highly recommend.

Today my goal was 90 minutes of running. It is truly amazing that I have so quickly forgotten everything about long runs. I wore shorts but didn’t use anti-chafe cream and I didn’t bring anything to eat. I did remember water, at least. Other than my burning thighs it felt pretty good, and I got in 8.93 miles according to my watch, but I paused it for a couple of blocks when I ran into a friend and we were chatting so I am calling it 9.
15 minute outdoor 90s run with Adrian (he’s so funny in this one) 75 minute outdoor 2000s run with Selena
