The whole national women's gymnastics team is really quite diverse.
I love this team so much. Each one is such an important piece of the story.
I was so bummed when Jordan didn’t get to compete for all around because of the two country rule. But I cried for Suni’s performance. After all she has been through, it was so inspiring.

Suni’s look of joy after her first tumbling pass is everything. Makes me tear up every time.
I love Simone’s caption today. Mental Health Matters. Yes it does.
These women are changing the sport for the better.
We just left Paris this morning after 3 nights, heading home on Sunday. We went to table tennis Wednesday and beach volleyball Thursday. Both were so fun! I wasn’t sure about what to expect but we all loved it. I hope we can get to a Winter Olympics at some point in the future.
After beach volleyball yesterday, we walked over to the Trocadero and got on the Today Show with Flavor Flav! He was so so nice and genuine. He kept saying the Olympics is better than the Super Bowl 😂
I'm watching the "Gold Zone" broadcast today that skips around like the "red zone" coverage the NFL network does. Not bad. I'm getting a decent sampling of everything.
What I have realized is that I do not understand Judo. They're like pulling on each other's tops? IDK.

the aim of Judo is to either throw your opponent directly on their back, have them tap out on a choke hold or arm bar, or hold them on back for 20 seconds. You also get points for throwing them on their side or 10 second hold down but it’s not an automatic win. There’s a bunch of other rules but that’s the high level Cole’s notes
Grant Fisher from USA won a bronze in the 10k which is huge! We barely ever medal in that distance and he did it after almost falling about halfway through. Amazing ❤️

Thank you. This is very succinct and makes so much more sense.

Yes— what a finish! Also, I was so happy for Cheptegei, who won it for Uganda. New Olympic record (and 13 of the runners ran under the previous record!!!) It was incredibly fast.

It was such an amazing race! And it was really cool to see them all congratulating each other at the end. It’s such a great community
Watching Track & Field Just saw the W 100M, Richardson and Jefferson got silver and bronze! And Alfred from St. Lucia got gold, first Olympic medal for her country ever!
That was amazing. She had it pretty well locked in the first 50M.
On a serious note though - lots of great stuff today. Women’s vault finals, the mixed 4*100M in both swimming and track were great races, Ledecky’s 800m win (and madden getting the bronze). Such a great Olympics so far.
