Her transition from Olympic gymnast to commentator was so seamless. i agree that she is great! i genuinely appreciate her reacting to things the same way i do, like gasping at a fall or something. i love that style of commentary and like, it's ok to be cheering for USA here - i appreciate her not pretending otherwise. |

Gorgeous routine from Jordan. It was really great, I hope she can repeat it in event finals. I'm sad for Jade that she didn't get to show her great floor but the sickness seemed to really affect her endurance. At least she hit a beautiful vault. The men yesterday was amazing. Sooo happy for them Thrilled for Brazil and Italy. Bummed for great Britain. They had such a good day and came so close. |

In our now Olympic tradition of "GM talks shit about WADA and IOC"-
The swimmers testing positive for the same thing as the Russian skater, and again, claiming it was food cross-contamination was laughable.
Claiming 2 swimmers "accidentally" took D-Bol is fucking ludicrous. I've had that conversation with the parent of a kid who popped at one of our meets. You don't accidentally take D-Bol. Jesus. Also, part of the WADA code is you are responsible for what is in your body, and there are still sanctions for failing a test when it was not intentional.
Ok. Back to the good stuff happening.

It's her third Olympics and while I don't think she will medal, I'm so proud to see how well she continues to do. She is literally the face of gymnastics here in Portugal. |

I had never watched rugby before this year. I'm sad it's over because it's now one of my favorites. The bronze medal game was amazing. I was yelling so loud. |

I went back and did that for team final yesterday and Canada's beam rotation was amazing and they didn't show any of it in the main broadcast. Show jumping fans - Kent Farrington is out due to a concern about his horse, Karl Cook is in. Karl and his horse Cara have been inconsistent this season but strong very recently, so let’s hope they are peaking now!
