I assume you won't be far enough upstate to see me? Lol Sadly, I don’t think so. Just to Colombia and Ulster counties. I know that isn’t considered upstate by lots of people who are further up! I’m pretty sure UAW was conceived of by people who live/lived in NYC, where the state is broken up into NYC, Long Island, and Upstate. Lol Oh yeah, no, that's downstate, girl! Up here it's NYC, downstate, and upstate. Then upstate is broken into North country, central, capital, western, FLX, and the southern tier. Clearly we upstaters have big feelings. My bestie from college is from White Plains and she claims to be from upstate and I always laugh at her.

Morning.
Picked up 6.4 miles to a 60 minute interval run with Susie. My last hour run felt like trash. Today I was cruising. Bodies are so dumb sometimes. Did a 10 minute stretch with Wilpers and I will squeeze in a yoga tonight no matter the time. I need it.
I already ate a donut today. Oops.

Interval run tonight. Whew. I feel like I haven’t run much and definitely not anything fast. This was only 4x 90 seconds with 2 min recoveries and I’m glad it wasn’t more. Got 3 miles in (with warmup/cooldown)
MH and I did some yoga last night and I need to do that again today.

it rained for a hot minute right before my run causing the humidity to increase and steamy temps. I was running longer intervals and almost over heated. well, i did overheat. i was a bit delirious at the end. i was not hydrated enough for those temps and they snuck up on me! so annoying. Today was a walk with the dog so my body could still recover from yesterdays mistake.
today is my parents 50th wedding anniversary, we have this huge luncheon and i'm excited. should be fun!

Morning.
I squeezed in a 30 minute EDM ride and other than hopefully some yoga tonight, that's it for me. DD2 has her play she's been working on at theater camp this morning then the kids and I head to Syracuse for the week.

We did a 45 minute family walk around the neighborhood again today.
I did go to OTF yesterday. I have upped my incline chest press to 30 lb dumbbells, and my regular chest press to 35s, and I’m not gonna lie, it feels good when the people next to me compliment me on it. 😂
Tomorrow is a Strength 50 day, which is my favorite. I won’t be able to go as much during fall because softball is on Sundays, but I’m going to try to go as much as I can prior to that starting.
I’m trying to eat more protein, and get back into meal planning. In a week we are doing our 2-week trip to see grandparents before school starts, but I should be able to be more consistent once we are back and settled. Hopefully. I’m attempting to get DS into a preschool 3 hours per day every day of the week. Fingers crossed! He thrived in his toddler school last school year.

1 hr bike ride today, into a strong headwind on the way home. I didn’t really work hard and feel good about my leg strength. I’m surprised I’m not more sore today, I thought I blew up my legs yesterday so taking that win too.

Morning.
I just got back from an outside run. The joy of being at my parent's house. I wish I had gone longer, but we have breakfast plans. I picked up a bit over 4 miles and negative splits. The first mile or so was a bit creaky, but I really opened up my legs the last mile and a half and enjoyed the fresh air. Did a quick 5 minute stretch and now we're heading to Cracker Barrel, requested by DD1 as her meal out before she goes to overnight camp for the next six days.
Yoga tonight.

We drove there and back to the coast this weekend, 5 hours each way. I was able to get in 4km run yesterday which felt good.

Yesterday I did a 20 minute barre and a 10 minute standing core, and a fair amount of walking. This morning I’m back in Brooklyn so I went to the Y for a 3000+ yd swim. I may do something else later but unsure.

I picked up some heavy weights today and felt great! We did a lot of rows, chest press, and deadlifts, which are all my favorite things because I can go heavy.
Next month is marathon month at OTF, so I may try out a Tread 50 class one of the days.

Hello! I had one last run in Denver yesterday. I went out and did 4 miles and it was a slog. It was my one day to sleep in so I didn’t get out to run until 10 am and it was so hot by then. Not my best decision.
I’m back home today and I redid the long run I crapped out on last weekend. It was 8 miles with 2 miles in the middle at half marathon pace. I was mostly running on feel so my HMP ended up being 10:50ish which is faster than I need it to be for a sub 2:30 but I felt really good and strong. It’s really hard for me to slow down after that though. It was a mental battle to take the rest of the run easy.

30 minute power yoga, and a 25 minute walk. I'm sure I'll walk with DD later today as well.

OTF this morning at 5 am, and it was ESP so a mix of everything. I felt really good. I have been trying to get my nutrition on track and I think it’s making a difference.

We had a power outage on Friday and it scrambled the software on my bike. Trying to factory reset it but it isn't going very well. Grumble.

20 minute HIIT with Leanne. It was a hard one! 3 to 1 efforts. 12 + hour workday ahead. Just have to make it through this week!

I did two easy outdoor runs this weekend while in Carmel visiting family. Three miles Saturday, three miles Sunday.
On Saturday I ran right past Joe Montana out for a morning walk! I did not stop to say hello or ask to take a picture with him, I always worry that celebrities must hate that sort of thing. My teenage son was mad at me about it. Joe looks good! My BIL who lives in Carmel did not know whether he owns a place in town or if he was just visiting.

Hello.
Yesterday I did not update, but I took a rest day. Short walk with the dog that I didn't even bother recording, yoga, and meditation.
Today DS and I took the stroller to the lake park after dropping off DD2 and did the slooooowest 3 miles. I am not in stroller running shape anymore. My gosh. How on earth did I run everyday with the double for years!? Probably my last summer with it anyways, so I tried to enjoy it. I also walked the dog a bit over half a mile this morning. Might walk him again in the evening when it cools back off. Yoga and meditation again tonight.

20 minute full body strength with Matty, 30 minute rock run with Becs, and then a 15 minute yoga for runners with Kirra, all followed by a short walk around the neighborhood with DD. I think we'll likely end up in the pool this afternoon, based on how warm it is already today, too.

I got in a very late 4 miles after my girls’ cheer practice. The bonus of running at 9pm was that it was only 66°! Also, my new watch predicts that I can run a 5K in 28:50 lol. Nobody believes in me more than Gertie. Yes, I named my watch 🤣

Extra family in town means that H and I could go for a run before the kids woke up- 5 km today. Starting Friday I’m off for 10 days of Olympics fun!

Morning.
I slept like, maybe three hours last night? I don't know, it was bad. DD2 was up a billion times because her bug bites itch, DS had a MOTN wakeup then was up for the day at 5am. I just, ugh. Why!?
I got out for my usual 4 miles I do here. It was a lot slower than Monday. My fastest mile today was the same time as my slowest mile on Monday, which was a full minute slower than Monday's fastest mile. Lol, oh well. I stretched, yoga tonight.
I'm going out to lunch with a friend today. Starbucks is in my future too.

Intriguing. Does it work for mosquito bites? Even ones that are a couple days old?

My personal experience so far is only with fresh mosquito bites which it has worked GREAT on, but the reviews seem to indicate that people do get at least some relief even on older bites!

No workout yesterday other than chasing the toddler around a playground for 2 hours in between camp drop offs and pickups.
Today I went to OTF and it was a TOUGH one. Lots of incline on the tread with a run/row. The floor work was endurance which isn’t my favorite, but it was good.
