I’ve read 11 on the list but only liked about half of them. I'd say that about my list too. Some of them were only on my TBR because they were "popular", not because they were good.

It is interesting how many on that list I just didn't like. I agree that I read some and have some on my TBR just because they're popular.

I have read 21 of those books but definitely did not like all of them, as others said. Normal People was ultimately boring, and same with Where The Crawdads sing. I also counted The Covenant of Water even though I’m stuck at 80% till my hold comes back in.
Project Hail Mary was likely put ahead of The Martian because people absolutely LOVE the audiobook. It’s the best audiobook I have listened to, so I am one of them lol. I was actually thinking I would do a relisten soon.

I finished The Husbands by Chandler Baker and loved it. She really captured the mental load women take on. It was fun to picture this world of men being that person while women were free to clear their minds. 5 stars
I also finished Witness by Caroline Mitchell and that was really well done. I didn’t love the main character and thought she made some eye roll worthy mistakes so I gave it 4 stars, but the plot was really good and fairly original for a thriller.

Well I have read 11 of the books on that list plus DNF’d about 5 more. Homegoing is one of my all time favorites. The Golfdinch is one of my all time least favorites. Overall read more than expected!

I finished All the Colors of the Dark and really liked it. As usual, his writing is just lovely. It’s definitely not a classic thriller - it’s long and somewhat slow - but I did enjoy it.
I started a debut novel, Only One Survives, and just get get into it. I’m setting it aside for now. I’ve read 10% of

I definitely read more on this list and the best of list from the editors and authors list NYT did.

I started As Long as The Lemon Tree Grows before realizing the hole was almost up. Booooo. So I paused that and changed genres back to romance. I picked up Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall.
The Merriest Misters was a really cute and sugary holiday romance. It’s a queer take on the Santa Clause, and I wish I had been under a heated blanket with a hot chocolate while reading instead of by the pool in 90 degree weather. 😂

I started and finished Strictly The Worst last night while DS had a miserable night of many wakeups.
Onto another romance today

I've only read a handful on that list but Project Hail Mary and Nightingale are two of my favorite all time. I do have a lot on my TBR but I get sidetracked by romance, quick thrillers and fantasy.
I DNF Devil in the White City. Way too longwinded.

I was actually thinking I would do a relisten soon. Good to know! My boyfriend is reading it, maybe I’ll revisit it via audiobook while he does.
