Portugal is hilarious. They haven't officially announced the first day of school yet. It's likely going to be mid-september but it's still not announced. The hold up is that congress is arguing over whether they should have a prepared schedule for 4 years and only review every 4 years instead of reviewing annually. 😂🫣

Who, in the children’s medicine industry, decided to make kid’s medicine red? They obviously never had a sick kid throwing up anywhere or slapping it out of their hand, or spitting it out because they don’t like the flavor. That shit stains no matter how quickly you wash it.

My H is taking BOTH kids to the ILs next week while I stay home. All of the cousins are supposed to be there for the week.
And apparently two kids from two different households have lice. ðŸ˜

As long as they also treat anything/everything that could cause them to return: Pillows, car seats, stuffed animals, furniture, etc. There is a preventative shampoo that I would probably start using on the kids and send with them. I know it's crazy, but just hearing the word lice makes my head itch.  |

I didn't know where to post this but I just realized Josh Hartnett plays a dad of a teenager in the new movie Trap. I remember seeing him in movies 20 years ago and swooning. 40 Days and 40 Nights? So hot.

We have one week left of summer. The kids are driving me up a wall. To those with younger teens, do they hang out with friends a lot? My DD is 14 and has hardly gotten together with school friends at all this summer. She was at camp and had a blast there with camp friends, but nothing at home. They text and stuff, but they don’t go do anything. I feel like she drifted apart from some closer friends this past school year, so that might be part of it. But she keeps saying she’s bored and what can we do and I’m about to lose it. I love hanging out with her and I feel like we do a lot together, but I also have things to get done.
