Re: pools
We got an above ground soft side bestway pool at Sam's club. Its 18in round by 48 in tall and we love it. Also our first year with it. We didn't level the ground enough before set up this year (got ahead of ourselves) so we will probably take it down and take the time to really level the ground before setting it up next summer and then winterize it after that. We probably spent $1k all together getting it set up, sand delivery, chemicals, and filling it with the hose. If you don't need sand delivered you can probably get everything done for $700. We got two tons of concrete sand delivered for $300.

I'm so tired of doing grown up shit every day. Comparing pet insurance rates because our current company raised there's. Looking for somewhere to park my h's life insurance money. Do I get a CD or find a high yield savings account or do I buy stock at my company or or or. I currently have 2 cars that I'm paying insurance on. Do I sell them both and get a new car or just keep paying for the insurance? I need to figure out make-up classes for C's ice-skating lessons because she was at Camp Grammie and Granddad for 3 weeks and missed her lessons. I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to move my parents from their current house to my house. Do we hire a moving company or just rent a U-Haul and do the 7 hour drive ourselves?

2. If money is there always hire a moving company because that’s not something you should have to worry about

Does your company offer free financial advisors as a benefit? It may make sense to meet with someone to discuss all possibilities and the pros and cons. Or use an advisor that trusted friends/family recommend if you have one. Outsource the leg work on running the .

Unless C is going to be of driving age within a year I would keep the new/better condition/lower mileage car and sell the other. Put the profit into a savings account to be used for a car for C when the time comes.

Apart from lost $ what is the down side of just not making up the lessons? Is it a group lesson so C is behind? If so What does the instructor recommend? Can you just add on time to her existing schedule so it’s not a separate trip to the rink? If it’s just lost $ I would probably look at it as the cost to get one more stressor off my shoulders and move forward.

Hire reliable movers to pack, drive, and unload. Ship their cars if your parents health allows them to fly. Is it going to be stupidly expense? Yes. But moving is stressful and exhausting. Outsource as much as you can afford too.

I can’t get excited for the 4th this year. I’m just not into it. H has to go into work, but he was planning on waiting until the afternoon so he could go to the parade with us. But it looks like it’s going to storm, so that will probably be a shitshow. And then I was planning on taking the kids to the pool, but that is probably out. We are leaving for vacation on Saturday, so I don’t want to make a bunch of food and have lots of leftovers. I’m a Debbie Downer this year. Maybe the kids and I will just go see the new Minion movie and eat popcorn.
