It’s June! We are halfway through the year!
How’s everyone doing? What are your goals for this month? How’d last month/ the last 6 months go?

2 hr ride done and dusted. New PR by 14 points. My first ride with an output over 1k!
I ended May with over 240 miles on the bike. Regular PT has my foot feeling stronger.
I’m still not cleared to run but I’m going to add in the arc this month, and start to build a mileage base with that.
I want to keep up with at least one swim a week. I fell a little short on strength. I’m going to aim for 30 minutes a week (in addition to whatever I’m doing in PT.) I know that sounds easy, but I’m not even consistently meeting that right now. 3 10 minute strength sessions should be doable though.

How is it June already?
I was very good about getting my strength workouts in for May, completing 6 rounds of RK’s 5-day split, along with 3 days of running. The only lapse was when I pulled something in my back and took it easy first a few days.
I’ve been enjoying running again and am nearly finished with my None 2 Run program.
Food definitely needs work. I do fairly well with macros during the week but it falls apart on the weekends.
I haven’t lost any weight this month but I haven’t gained. I feel stronger and can see a little bit of definition, my arms and shoulders especially. I just need to get rid of some of the fluff hiding it.
I really to get back into the habit of meal prepping. I’m been using LLM’s meal plan and have liked all the meals I’ve made thus far. I just need to prep and cook more often, which, admittedly, I am the least enthused about during the warmer months of the year. But I have to face the fact that I won’t see the results I want without making healthier choices.
I also need to start going to bed earlier. I love that it’s lighter out til after nine now, but need to remember it’s still a 24 hour day and I do so much better with 8 hours of sleep vs 6-7.

Today’s workout
- 35 min W11/D2 of N2R - 5 min Post-Run Stretch with Selena - 10 min Foam Rolling with Nico
I felt like a sloth on my run so note to self to hydrate beforehand. But I got it done.

Hello.
May was a disaster for me. I can't seem to get my shit together. I'm so tired and burnt out on life right now and it's just crushing me. Three more weeks until summer break, then I can sleep so much more and and be more leisurely with longer workouts.
I cycled 83.7 miles this month and ran 70.6 miles. That running mileage is low for me and I'm super cranky that I missed my monthly mileage minimum for the first time in years. Weight maintained. Water was whatever. I tried. Food was on and off.
June will be tricky. We camp two weekends this month then leave for a week in Maine at the end of the month. Mileage and food will be questionable at best, but I'm going to try to do the best I can as often as I can.
Today is my wedding anniversary (11 years!) and the kids and I are planning to make a layered funfetti cake tonight, so that doesn't count, lol.

Yay June is my FAVORITE month! I think I did pretty well in May overall, did great with tri training and ok with strength which is better than last year’s zero strength workouts at this time.
Today was the final brick before my race! Legs felt WAY better than last week but still not great so I really need them to recover well this week.
One of my friends put out a “40 miles” in June challenge for her bday and I love that idea! If I do 40 that’ll be the highest monthly running mileage I’ve ever had and it’s my 40 month too so I’m putting it here that I’m gonna go for it! I think it’s also a way to stay motivated after my race next week.
Sleep will be my biggest hurdle this month because I LOVE the twilight after 10 pm.

Yo. I'm here still trying to find consistency.
Yesterday was 2 miles plus 10 min arms and 5 min full body stretch.
Today was a 5k and 10 min standing core. I am meal planning and prepping today to help me stay on track this week.

I had my half this morning, it was kind of disappointing. I ran a great first 11k, then my knee started to really hurt and I had to slow way down. My goal was to break 2 hours; I ended up at 2:11 which was 2 minutes faster than last year. But I was bummed to have a great pace which would have easily broken 2 hours for the first half just to have to jog the second half. Onwards and upwards! And a reminder to myself that I need to stretch and strength train, neither of which I do at the moment.

3000 yard swim for me this morning: 1000 at a steady, medium pace, 1000 with repeats of 100 hard, 100 easy, and 1000 with repeats of 200 hard, 200 easy. Debating on doing the live CVV ride at 3.

jaidit, great work, even if it wasn’t the time you wanted. Congrats on another half! Definitely add some strength training and stretching into your routine. I struggle with strength training, but glute strengthening exercises are the one thing I do make an effort to do, because I know how much those muscles affect the IT band.

Morning.
5 minute warm up ride with Mila 30 minute EDM ride with Jess King 10 minute low impact ride with Jess King 5 minute core with Adrian 5 minute stretch with Emma
Yoga tonight. I didn't get to do it last night because I had to schlep DS to UC because he started screaming about his ear hurting, and yup, ear infection. We didn't get home until well after 9pm. So yoga needs to be high priority today.
I already ate donuts today, but they feel like bricks in my gut, so I need to peel back and eat lighter for the rest of the day. Gross.

Great job, jaidit! Even though it wasn’t the result you wanted, you should be very proud of yourself. 👏

I start the next PZP challenge today. I'm technically time crunch, but they made today an option between a 30 min PZE or Denis's 45 min PZE with Oochie Wally. I think I'm going for Oochie Wally lol. I'll have enough time to get it done before baseball.
Mostly need to focus on getting in enough fuel, even without much of an appetite. I haven't had to eat for a PZP since being on Topamax, but I'm hoping the burned calories are enough of a hunger cue. I at least need to get in some protein shakes if real food doesn't sound good.

Did my 10K yesterday. Nowhere near my PR, but I didn't do too badly considering I trained for a 1:15 finish time. I ended up with 1:06:35.
I'm going to start trying to train for my usual half in October but I'm not sure how it will go. My shoulder/arm is flaring badly and hurts more when I run sometimes. Yesterday lit it on fire.

May was good. We had a some remodeling going on (from last year's hail storm), so that derailed me a little bit for the amount of daily workouts I do, but I'm nearing 18K mins already, so I'm on track for the annual goal regardless.
For Mother's Day this year I decided to purchase the rower! The first delivery was available within a week, but I scheduled it for 2 weeks out due to the above mentioned remodeling. It got delivered last Tues and it's just such an amazing machine. So sleek and so quiet, and the form assist on it is just an awesome feature. I started the "you can row" program, so that's going to be a huge part of my June goals!

Lunchtime workout done.
After much consideration and exploring all kinds of programs/splits/HCOTF et al, even considering doing another 6 weeks of RK's 5-day split, I have opted to work through the Pump Up the Volume collections. I like that they are different workouts each week and alternating instructors (and playlists) but repeating each week's workouts for the 4-week duration so that I can build on reps or (my main goal) weight. It's not as much rest as I would like but as I start to increase weights, I can always ease up on the reps to keep lifting heavy.
I also love that it's 3 days a week as 5 days was quite challenging for me with running 3x/week again.
With 10 "volumes" of PUTV, that's 40 weeks of strength already programmed for me, which is another plus.
A few key changes I made were to just lift heavy from the beginning vs the bodyweight and lighter warm up sets for the first exercise and ditto for the finisher, except for the squat jumps, which I kept as bodyweight.
- 20 min PUTV 1 - Full Body Strength with RK - 5 min Core with Adrian - 30 min 90s Walk with Kristen - 10 min Lower Body Stretch with HC

May was less active than my last few months, but not awful, especially considering it was because of travel, birthday, and having a cold. June is already off to a good start! Ran 5k with the family on Sat, walked 3 miles Sunday. Today, I walked about 2.5 miles really early (it's light here starting at about 5:15 this time of year!), and I have a yoga class and a short walk with the dog next on my list. Also getting in the pool with the kids because it's actually shaping up to be a warm day!

I did not do the CVV HIIT class live yesterday, so I did it this morning. It was tough but good!

Howdy.
Yesterday I did not get up because DS was up puking in the middle of the night again. That's three weeks in a row now. WTF!? And Monday's are just GO GO GO for us until about 6pm, so other than a 10 minute core focus flow and a 20 minute yin yoga, I didn't do anything else.
This morning I did get up. I let myself linger in bed for a good ten minutes first, but I eventually rolled out and got moving.
30 minute EDM run with Becs 20 minute EDM run with Hannah 5 minute core with Callie 5 minute stretch with Camila
Yoga tonight.
DD2 and I got ice cream for dinner last night, so back on track with food today.
