I really didn’t think I’d get exercise in today because shit hit the fan around here at about 5 pm. But…I did it. I had to take DS with me and boy was that an adventure. We did the 20 min global running day run with Camilla together. One ear bud in for each of us. He threw himself on the ground twice to feign injury and had a total meltdown 15 seconds from the end. So dramatic. But his baseball coach drove by while we were running and gave him a big shout out. So that was good. I dropped him at home and finished with a 15 min 90s run with Olivia.

Oof, it is June already. This year has been a bit of a mess for me, but still moving along. Right now doing a practice water load/cut to see if I can use that to make weight. It's looking like a big no, so will follow up with my coach next week to see what he thinks as far as weight class.
Nationals is in 5 weeks and other than bench I can't get any of my shit together, so hard to say how it's going to go. I was having issues with some tightness in my low back and hamstrings, got that sorted out, then stepped on a stick in my yard (just in time for squat day! good day to not be able to put weight on my foot). That's basically story of how everything is going at this point.
I've been better with my eating, which it would be nice if that was reflected on the scale but not always how that works.

Yesterday I had a long PT session and then just walking. This morning I did an intervals and arms with Hannah F. It was a really fun playlist “European all-inclusive holiday vibe” And then I did a standing core with RK.

Last pre-race workout ✅
Quick little 25 min run which I was dreading because it takes that long for my legs to feel good lol. But it actually felt ok, a bit hotter than I was expecting but overall a confidence booster going into the race.
Now rest rest rest and water water water

I'm here, I've been keeping up with the HCOF calendar and alternately running/riding for cardio, but my focus is more on weights.
I did try the new pace targets on the Tread yesterday, they're basically like FTP zones on the bike except you choose the "level" that fits your ranges rather than the Tread calibrating them for you. I just did the intro class yesterday, I haven't tried a "real" run with them yet, will report back.
I'm excited about the half marathon training program, too! I have a half in the end of October so maybe I'll use it for that.

Like I knew I started too late to get down without some level of water cut, but my gosh. A little downward movement would have been nice.
There have been changes, which is nice, but I care about the number at this point in time.

But I honestly don't see why they couldn't add them to the app in some form, because they're not directly tied to your output the way FTP is. Maybe in future.

You can still do PZ rides on the app, which use FTP.

They are begging me to up my game.

Caught up on the Global Running Day outdoor run this morning, and then took a walk with H. Lots of chores to do today (I think my 3rd load of laundry is currently in the dryer, and I'm about halfway done), so that will likely be it.

I was sure my legs would be tired after yesterday but they felt pretty fresh today. I'm thinking the foam rolling helped with that.
- 30 min W12/D1 - N2R - I paired this with two Peloton runs as doing the Global run yesterday made me realize how much I miss that "coaching." I did Camila's 20 min Beginner Run (running the entire time except a few seconds here and there to sip some water) and her 5 minute Cooldown Run, then added on a cooldown walk afterwards. - 5 min Mindful Meditation

Have a great race beepers !! H and I had our annual river kayak date yesterday. About 4 hours of paddling (not intense). My watch died before we finished. Today was 15 min lower body and 2 walks at the office.

You can, but you won't have the speed ranges based on the level you select. You could probably watch on and write down the speed ranges associated with each zone, then you could do it on any treadmill. I did like five of those classes, all at level 8, and I would never have remembered any of the speed ranges off the top of my head. Nothing a note wouldn't fix though.

Hello.
I fell back asleep after my alarm. Is it summer yet? My body is just done with 4am at this point.
I just did a 30 minute EDM run with Olivia. I missed yoga last night, so I need to do a core and a yoga tonight.
My eating was a thumbs down today. Whatever.
Dumb.

I just read up on the pace classes and confirmed you can only find them on the tread/tread+.
Oh well!

I did the Kacey Musgraves 30 min yoga flow with Kirsten. It was really good. The playlist was well rounded and it was very hamstring focused which I desperately needed today.

Well I didn't make weight with my water cut, but I know how much I can lose with half assing it (I didn't do much with sodium or carb aspect which can add more) so that gives me an idea of where I need to be to pull it off.

Signed up for my usual half in October and SO wants to do it with me. I have him set up on a good training plan but he hasn't done a half in 30+ years. Told him I wasn't stopping my Garmin to carry him if he dies.

It’s so windy here. So so windy. Run club on Wednesday night was 400m repeats at the track, in the stupid wind. I had to walk a couple times bc I could legit not breathe. The worst. Then I work this weekend so did the prescribed long run today, instead of tomorrow with the group. In the wind. By myself. And I couldn’t get my earbuds to work. 5 miles at a v slow pace.
Then I went for a massage and I don’t hate the world so much anymore haha
Also my darling children left the freezer door ajar before leaving for school yesterday and all the things defrosted for who knows how long. 🙃

Happy friggin Friday! This was a week. One more week of school and then vacation. But there’s a lot of stuff between now and then.
30 min country happy hour ride with Hannah C. It was a fun one with two special guests.
10 min focus flow hips with Chelsea. The last pose was a really good one for me.
