I just read College Girl Missing, which is about the Lauren Spierer case. Written by a journalist who reported on the case since day 1 and grew close to the family over the years. Her disappearance occurred near my alma mater, so I’ve always followed closely , and this book is really well done imo.

I finished Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood. I liked it. It was exactly what I expected it to be. It’s like junk food for my brain which sometimes I really like. To be fair though, I am generally easy to please when it comes to books.

Got my hold on the newest Women's Murder Club book so I'm on that now.

Somehow (ok, insomnia), I finished 2 books while visiting family. Everyone Here is Lying was a 4 star read for me. I also finished Jen Psaki's memoir, which I loved, and started The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware. Enjoying it so far! Still working on Funny Story and Truly, Madly, Guilty, which I left at home during my trip because those are Pool Books.

I started and finished Touch of Darkness last night. I loved it. I will be reading the rest of the series.

Finally finished Fourth Wing and I quite loved it. Not sure that's going to be my go to genre anytime soon but I do plan on reading Iron Flame.
Right now I'm part way into Funny Story (loving it) and also started The Housemaid's Secret.

I had a bunch of holds arrive at once, so I really applied myself the past couple weeks. I think The Last Love Note was my favorite of these. It took a chapter or two to get into it, but then I flew through it. However, it was a rare streak of new releases where I actually really enjoyed all of them. I was glad to have books to distract myself from the recent news cycles. My next is Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin for a book club.

I just finished More: A Memoir of Open Marriage. I’ve been trying to get out of my usual comfort zone for reading so I thought I’d give it a shot. It had some good reviews when I first put it on my list, but I didn’t care for it. I was emotionally exhausted just reading about it. She always seems to portray others in a positive light regardless of what they did. I started and DNF'd this, I think for the same reasons. It was just draining.

I just finished the audio book of Everyone on This Train is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson, the sequel to Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone. I actually liked this better than the first one. Audio narration was good, too. I liked it better than the 1st too!

I am now on the 4th book in the Touch of Darkness series. I am officially hooked. They are not going to be everyone’s cup of tea but I love them.

sudsy I just finished When We Lost Our Heads. I think I'm in the minority but I didn't love it. It felt really heavy handed and the writing had me rolling my eyes a lot. The story had potential but it just didn't come to fruition for me.
