I finished House Of Breath and Sky. I'm glad I read ACOTAR first, thanks for the heads up. I'm going to deviate to TOG and rip through that series before going back to CC3.

Just finished 'Nothing to See Here' by Kevin Wilson.
What a delightful, quirky, quick read. I gave it 5/5.

I finished Iris Kelly Doesn’t Date. I liked it but not as much as the first two. 3*
Currently listening to Pageboy by Elliot Page.

I'm a handful of chapters into Assassin's Blade, which I figured I'd read before the actual series, but I really just want to read CC3. Do I need to read TOG first? I feel like I should stick with it, if nothing more than to prolong finishing CC3 and being sad when it's over.

I finished how to end a love story today and I really really liked it. She goes to the Ali Hazelwood school of writing sex scenes though. Other than that it’s the best romance I’ve read in a long time.

And there are some things in CC3 that will be sort of Easter eggs for you from TOG if you have read it. It’s a lot of books, for sure, but you’ll fly through them. Just know the first book (not the prequel but the first in the series) is a bit rough because she wrote it when she was a teenager for fan fiction. But if you’re reading Assasins Blade first, you’ll have more of the main character fleshed out anyway.

Finally finished Will of the Many yesterday! I did enjoy it, for some reason I just wasn't super pumped to read it, you know? The next book is coming out later this year or early 2025, not sure if I will continue.
I have the next two Veronica Speedwells to read, plus Two Twisted Crowns waiting for me at the library. I've also started the first Zodiac Academy book on KU because it was so recommended on BookTok, but I'm not into it so far (it's only been like five chapters though), so hoping it picks up.

I’m not sure if that’s because it has more books so more opportunity to get attached to the characters or what but I definitely rank it as my favorite.

I finished Always Mine by Laura Pavlov - it was a very cute (predictable, but cute) romance story of two best friends in a small town. It's my first book by this author, but I'll definitely be picking up more by her - her writing was good and there were certain tropes she stayed away from that made me happy.
Next up is Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay, which a couple of chapters in I think I'm going to quite enjoy - a rumoured horror movie from the early 90's is being rebooted, but at what cost?

I have about 40 pages of Iron Flame left for my re-read. Then I think I’m going to read Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood. After that I am planning on reading Touch of Darkness.

I had major surgery last week so I have gone through a few books since I’ll be off work for 6 weeks.
The Bootleggers Daughter - This was a first read that I picked up and it wasn’t great. The writing felt really elementary and forced. Plus the entire thing was so predictable but not in an enjoyable way. I gave it 2 stars.
The Curious Secrets of Yesterday - Another first read pick I think. Again, I didn’t love the writing and the main character was very unlikeable to me. The plot was also just not very compelling. 2 stars.
Good Girl Bad Blood - this one finally came off my holds after like a year, ha. I enjoyed it quite a bit. 4 stars.
Magic Hour - This was my first foray into Kristin Hannah’s not-historical fiction. I loved it. I will keep reading more of her others for sure. 5 stars.
Veridian Sterling Fakes It - another Amazon first read pick. The writing was very blah to me and the story was just… stupid. Idk. 2 stars.
As Good as Dead - I was excited to finish this trilogy but what the actual fuck to this ending??? I hated it. After 45% of the book was done and it took the sharp left, I was like what on earth. Maybe Holly Jackson was trying to be unpredictable in how she ended her thriller mystery series but I really didn’t like it. 2 stars.

I finished Summer at the Saint. I’m not sure how I feel about the ending but it was a decent read I’m going to start Swan song at lunch finally I finally finished this. I liked it. It was a little crazy but a fun summer read. 3.5 stars, rounded to 4. How’s Swan Song? That is probably next or Look on the Bright Side.

I just finished The Things We Cannot Say. So good! thought it started a little slow but got better. It helped to have longer blocks of time to read this. This was my first book from Kelly Rimmer and I already have another on hold at the library.

Is Beartown super slow the whole way through or is it just the beginning? I just need to know if I should keep going?

I finished Assassin's Blade last night and started TOG. I'm glad I read them in the order. I appreciate understanding what's going on in the first few TOG chapters.

It took awhile for me to get used to the writing style but once I did I couldn’t put it down. It’s slow though and very character driven. If you aren’t enjoying it then it’s ok to move on. cnf I’m impressed how quickly you are getting through the Sarah J Maas books!

The last one in this series is almost 1000 pages though 😳 That one may take me a bit longer, lol. Thankfully I'm off school for the summer starting this week, so lots of reading in my future!

I read two more Veronica Speedwell books over the weekend, A Murderous Relation and An Unexpected Peril. I rated both 4 stars but Murderous Relation was definitely my favorite of the two because of the Jack the Ripper tie-in. Reading Two Twisted Crowns now and it makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE now that I read One Dark Window (I'm starting Crowns over from the beginning.)

I didn't get much reading in this weekend but did get a little further into Fourth Wing, still have 1/3 to go. I'm enjoying it more than I expected, but it's not been a quick read for me.
The library holds fairy strikes again and I have the following pile to get started on soon, but not sure where to start: Miss Morgan's Book Brigade The lost letters from Martha's Vineyard The housemaid is watching (but I still need to read the 2nd one) How to solve your own murder The teacher
Hoping to get through a couple over the holiday next week.
