In still having trouble concentrating of reading and being so busy, audiobooks have been all I can manage lately. I’ve been listening to the DI Amy Winters series by Caroline Mitchell. It’s really good so far.
I did physically read Hit & Run my Andy Maslen and didn’t like it very much. I also read Daughter of Mine, which was ok.

I finished A Court of Wings and Ruin last night and started A Court of Frost and Starlight.
The page counts on these books are all over the place. The first one was like 400+, books two and three were both 800+, and now book four is only like 200? Weird. I'm loving them though.

I wrapped up the 3rd book in the 5th season and it was one book too long. I was over it.

ACOFAS is like an interlude book, or extended epilogue of ACOWAG, which is why it is so short. It sets up for the next one which switches character perspectives.

Finished Seven Days in June just as A Love Song for Ricki Wilde came available and I'm excited, I really enjoyed Seven Days in June, both audio.
Im reading a paperback of The Last Thing He Told Me which I picked up on a whim at Target - I like when books say they were made into movies or TV shows because they usually don't disappoint!

It feels very "in betweeny" so that makes sense.

A very real NOT THANK YOU to all of you who recommended The Women because this book is too good, and too sad, and I have used a Costco sized pack of tissues while listening to it!😘 I burned through all of Kristin Hannah’s historical fiction books so fast and now I am so sad she hasn’t done them for her whole career. I haven’t read and of her other fiction yet. Night road was my first book of hers and I still think about it and it’s been since dd was a baby. I’m working my way through the rest

I read Kristan Higgins newest look at the bright side. It wasn’t my favorite of hers. I wanted more but it was good enough
I got a chunk of the unwedding read also

I started and finished The Drowning Woman over the weekend. It was a bit much but also pretty engaging. I’d recommend it.
Next is Summer Romance. My track record with rom-com’s this year isn’t great. I’ve really enjoyed her other two books though so we will see!

I finally went back to my kindle (which has been on airplane mode for weeks) and finished Last Night at the Telegraph Club. Giving it 4 stars.
Now I can't decide what to start next but am thinking of giving Fourth Wing another try.

In may I read 5 books: Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross Remarkably bright creatures by Shelby Van pelt Olga dies dreaming by Xochitl Gonzalez The Radium Girls by Kate Moore Piranesi by Susan Clarke Currently reading the uninhabitable earth: life after warming by David Wallace wells and it is not uplifting for sure. How was The Radium Girls? I have it on my TBR. I read it last year and it was fascinating!

I did almost no reading in May because it was such a hectic month. I need to catch up in June, but I don't know what I'm in the mood for!

I ended up finishing Fake It 'til you Make It by Laura Carter, my mindless read that was supposed to be ~10 minutes a day to keep my streak during the busy week. I got another Kathryn Freeman rom-com from the library, Strictly Come Dating, for 10 minutes or so a day of reading today & tomorrow and I'll probably end up finishing it on Thursday while I swing in the hammock & the kids swim.

I finished two twisted crowns. I liked it. After that I read weyward and liked that even more. I can’t wait to read her new one, and I hope it’s even better.
I’m supposed to be reading the lightning thief for my kids but I’m not feeling it. Switched to a historical romance by Julie Anne Long while I wait on some holds.

I finished up A Court of Frost and Starlight last night and made a decent dent in the last book. I should have the series finished up in the next day or two.

Has anyone read Still Life by Sarah Winman? I'm trying to get into it, but it's not grabbing me. It could be a me thing, but I don't want to give up too early.

Maybe because I associate her reads with beach reads and need to pretend I'm on vacation while reading it?

I remain an eternally slow reader. DS and I are reading The Eyes and the Impossible by Dave Eggers- he's one of my favorite adult authors so it's no surprise this book is lovely too. I hope DS loves it. I just finished This Isn't Going to End Well by Daniel Wallace. I have When We Lost Our Heads waiting for me next.

Ok I don't post here cause I'm not much of a reader. This is an off the wall plug. But my husband's 72ish year old sister has decided she wants to be a writer. And get that done as a bucket list item I guess. So she has a book on Amazon 5.99 on Kindle. Copy link words open into new window as amazon links are weird lately. Curious Tales of Bedford Landing: A Novel a.co/d/iMkd8zsShe's literally begging for 5 star reviews from the family to drum up interest because her editor/publisher has scheduled a book signing for her! I hope they aren't taking advantage of her because she's 72 and now I'm guessing will be buying her own books for this book signing? Not sure how that works but I think they get a cut. I'm just starting it myself so idk how it is. Illustrations were done by a tattoo artist and that seems interesting.
