Betweenthelines - Samoa Cookie beer sounds yummy! I wonder if we can get that beer around here. Is it from the west coast or east? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk I'm on East coast. It's by duclaw, I posted a pic of it up thread Thanks! Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to find it then. Seems like a lost of the west coast breweries don't distribute to my area. I just stocked the beer fridge at the bakery for some upcoming hot sauces. And this is what we drank tonight. It's a sour cherry cider and soooo good.

I find it ironic that this is the thread that I start posting in, but I love love love beer! I'll drink almost anything but lean toward IPAs and pale ales. Also love anything on nitro. Favorite breweries are Founders and Shorts and fav all time beer is bells 2 hearted. Shorts brewery is also owned by my family so I'm partial (it's mostly just in MI and some of the Midwest for now). Can't wait to drink a bunch this weekend!! So jealous! Small world, too - my Uncle-in-law 'worked' there for a little while after he retired, mostly to drink their beer. He was a promoter of sorts, he even had his own business card. My husband moved from Two-Hearted to Huma Lupalicious as his go-to. Scratch that, it was for Right Brain. Still, Soft Parade is my everything. Even though I can only do 1 or 2 at one sitting.

Drinking Radiant Pig's Save the Robots East Coast IPA. It is good. Not one of my faves, but good. For an IPA, it is less fruity than most and has a bitter aftertaste that lingers a bit. I like bitter, but I know that most folks do not.

Trying the Alesmith San Diego Pale Ale today. I must say, it is pretty delightful.

We went on a small trip yesterday with some friends to a few breweries and did samplers at each place. Most of the beers we tried were very good. One place though, had a couple terrible ones. One tasted like fruit loops, another was a Thai ginger beer with coriander, and everything else tasted like grapefruit. The grapefruit ones were OK, but the other two...not good!

The food is awesome there too-they have this sandwich called the white pepper--I dream about it!

I just cracked open a Two Roads Two Juicy. It is juicy as promised. Not as good as my favorite VT IPAs, but holds its own. It packs a wallop at 8.2%. Would buy again.

I have found my people!!
I'm so jealous of all the drinks tonight, it was gorgeous here today and perfect patio weather but I had surgery last week and still taking pain killers so alcohol is out for a while. I am not very partial but my go to is a strong IPA, I'll try any and all. IPAs I can't pick a favourite, it's whatever's in my glass at the time ha.

I have a thing for lagers. Anything made by Metropolitan Brewing in Chicago is A+++. New Glarus's Two Women USA staple in our fridge.

mapleme, our shipment of the Heady Topper hot sauce and surprise bonus mustard arrived today! It was going to be part of MH's Father's day (and one for FIL and one for BIL's birthday later this summer) but he got home before me and opened it. We tried some and omg, both the hot sauce abs mustard were amazing! H loves them and is super excited to give to his family.

Just tried Minkasi Total Domination IPA. Not a fan. It was like rotten, aged Budweiser.
Going to one of our favorite breweries tomorrow, Barrier. I would put their Money IPA pretty high up there.

I'm going to be coming out with a bunch of new hot sauces and mustards in the next few weeks as I get caught up in my new space (I just moved my bakery from 600 sqft to 3000 sqft).

Alright ladies, I am headed to Orlando tomorrow for a work conference. I don't think I'll have time to hit any breweries, but does anyone have recommendations on beers local to the area that I should try while I am down there this week?

hufflepug holachicaI tried the Cigar City Jai Alai IPA and the Funky Buddha Hop Gun while on my trip. I loved the Hop Gun and the Jai Also was good too but tasted more like a double. The conference I was at did a little beer tasting thing one of the nights where you could sample different 6 beers. Most were not very good, but it was a fun little event. I go here! DH and I love craft beers. We are on vacation in St Pete Beach and have enjoyed everything we've tried from Cigar City and Funky Buddha. My parents are getting here tomorrow so sometime in the next couple of days we will be taking advantage of a baby sitter and going to Three Daughters, Cycle, and Greenbench (suggestions welcome). I have a new love for sours and found Costal Empire Coco Pina. It's a Pina colada in a can. It is so good. We will bringing some home. The brewery is in Savannah Gerogia not sure what their distribution is but if anyone sees it, it's a must try!

We just got back from Utah (visiting a friend that recently moved there). So, weird laws aside, there was some pretty good stuff. My favorites were Squatters Wasatch Ghostrider White IPA (canned), Uinta Hopnosh IPA (can) and Uinta Dubhe Imperial Black IPA (bottle), and Fisher Brewing Co Pale #3 (draft).
Beers on draft are not allowed to be over 4% abv by law, so it was kinda cool to try sessions that actually had good depths of flavor (like the Fishers Pale #3).

I am not a huge fan of sessions because I feel like so many lack flavor.
