I find it ironic that this is the thread that I start posting in, but I love love love beer! I'll drink almost anything but lean toward IPAs and pale ales. Also love anything on nitro. Favorite breweries are Founders and Shorts and fav all time beer is bells 2 hearted. Shorts brewery is also owned by my family so I'm partial (it's mostly just in MI and some of the Midwest for now). Can't wait to drink a bunch this weekend!! I love Bells 2 Hearted! They just started distributing in our market and I am very happy it is not reserved as just a vacation beer any more

Also, hi. You are all my people. I prefer ales. Any kind of ale, but especially IPAs. A juicy, cloudy IPA is my favorite. I also like stouts and porters and I'm just starting to get into sours and saisons, but they're new territory for me. Do not like lagers unless I'm on vacation/at a party and they're the only choice. I was just thinking that I needed to page you to this board!

I've found my people. I'm mostly an IPA girl but I love blonde and red ales too. DH and I just found a local brewery, 4 Sons. We're going to their tasting room for the first time this weekend. I like their blood orange IPA and The Great One that's 10%. Ballast point Sculpin IPA and Bear Republic's Racer 5 are favs too. BJ's Jeremiah Red is is tasty. I'm trying to talk my sister into getting married at Stone Brewery. I was thinking of getting married too! I love stone the back patio area is really cool. I still haven't been 😕 MH went for his bach and then we had DS1, then DS2. I've heard it's beautiful.

Bring the kids! They have a path and waterfall that could entertain the boys while you relax with a delicious beer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, I go here now. Give me allllll the beer. I love porters, stouts, and IPAs the most. And anything on Nitro. But,really I love everything. We have some fantastic local breweries that have popped up around us in the last 5 years and it's the best. I use the Untapped app to keep track of things I've tried.
I really want to try that Tree Shaker @martini! One of the local to me breweries does a Peach IPA and a Peach Citra that is so refreshing.

I posted this in the original thread:
I'm way late, but I love craft beer. Sonoma County is becoming just as well known for their craft beers as we are for our wine. We have some bigger breweries here like Lagunitas and Bear Republic, some well known smaller breweries, and tons of small ones. MH and I really enjoy going out tasting.
One of my newer found favorites is Alpine's Duet. They are out of the San Diego area.
ETA: I see the thread has moved. Whoops! Sorry.

Our liquor store definitely has 12th of Never but I haven't tried it yet. I will have to look for the other one the next time I go. I'm so jealous of your beer hook up!

I didn't realize the beer talk moved. reposting this: If anyone ever sees this. Buy it immediately: *snipped image* I'm super intrigued by this. Besides the spice, what are the other flavors? Is it like a lemony summer ale with a touch of Old Bay? It is slightly citrusy. It is a light golden ale, so not heavy. Very refreshing

I wanted to grab a 6 pack when we were leaving the supermarket but only had a second to act because DS was screaming. I grabbed Southern Tier Lemon Drop Sun. I don't like when beers are too fruity but I like a bunch of Southern Tier beers so I'm hoping it's good. Going to drink one (or two or three) during nap time in a bit!

Yes to Pliny the Elder/Russian River as my favorite. My sister and BIL used to live so close to there which was the best. They're in Portland now, so still good beer scene. We have some big local breweries the distribute nationally, Goose Island being the big one. Revolution brewery is another which I love but I think they are only in the Midwest, plus their restaurant is delicious. But one brewery I really like is a small local one, Solemn Oath. There are quite a few others popping up too. we live very close to each other! There are lots of great local breweries popping up around here.

We got JaiAlai on vacation in January and it was awesome thebanich! We also got their limited release oaked one and I loved it. And I'm jealous of all of you that have tried Heady Topper. MIL/FIL are driving through in the fall and gave been instructed to bring home beer for us and for BIL/SIL. Favorite beers- I like all kinds, depending on the season or what we're eating. Specific ones off the top of my head- Lagunitas Lil Sumpin Sumpin, Great Lakes Rye of the Tiger, Surly Abrasive, Three Floyds Zombie Dust, Great Lakes Christmas Ale is my fav holiday beer, Southern Tier Warlock is my fav fall beer Favorite brewery- favorite local brewery is Buckledown. Favorite brewery that I've visited is Russian River- besides going around the world trying all the beers, the garlic cheese jalapeño Pliny Bites were sooo good.

Exit strategy is good, they have a cool spot and good food. Alter in Downers Grove is great and you gotta go to Imperial Oak in Willow Springs- they have no desire to distribute, but it's really fun to go to.

So someone brought us a Kirkland Signature (AKA Costco) mix pack last weekend. I was told it was pretty good. I am finally getting around to trying it and surprisingly it's not bad. When I really read the label it is actually brewed by Bricks & Barley Brewing Co out of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. I've never heard of them but I find it interesting that they are beer and labeling it with the Cos to brand.
