My DH and I are huge craft beer fans. We actively seek out new beers and drag our kids to every manner of brewery we can.
Any other craft beer fans out there? Thought it might be fun to have a running thread where we share new beers we have tried, give reviews, recommendations, talk about new breweries we have gone to, etc. Any interest? If there is interest, I could start one over in the recipes section, since that makes the most sense.

I'm not a beer drinker but MW is and we go to A LOT of breweries! Most trips are planned around them, so I have many opinions, just mostly on the food.

The problem with craft beer is that they are rarely widely available. So i might try something over here that you could never get your hands on, and vice versa. Having said that, I recently discovered that I love dark porters that have strong espresso/coffee notes. It's the best of both worlds: coffee + booze. I am always looking for recs.

Yes, H and i love beer. There was a brief dark period after I was pregnant where I could not drink but I'm slowly getting my taste for it back
I'm an IPA person, love hoppy/citrusy beers. I've been really into cream ales lately.

We have a local party store that will order whatever you want if they don't carry. They don't openly advertise that, but they will happily do it.

We love craft beer! I'm a big fan of porters and stouts.
We have a new tap room here over 100 different craft brews from around our state. It's awesome.

Hi! I'm huge into craft beers (specifically IPAs) and search out new ones whenever I can.
Also love going to breweries - I lived in CO for awhile, and when I went back to visit last fall I made my own tour for an afternoon and hit up 8 places (thanks Uber!).

I'm in the minority that I do not like IPAs at all. However, I absolutely love good sour beers and most German style beers.

MH used to brew his own beer and it was really good. He once made a Pliny the Elder clone that was spot on (since we can't get it here). Sadly his job has really gotten in the way of him making me beer.

This looks like the appropriate place to intro! I had $40 worth of bottle returns yesterday (in Michigan we get $0.10 per bottle), and approximately 99% were craft beer.
Professional lurker since fall 2013 - 2 under 3. I tend to fall off the face of the earth occasionally, so don't be surprised about drive-by postings.
I'm lucky enough to live near Beer City, so I have the world at my fingertips! 🍺
