Also the Grapefruit Scuplin IPA is amazing. Love this. Ballast Point is so expensive here though! My parents live in San Diego and it's significantly cheaper there.

Tree house Brewing is a good local brewer for IPAs for the New England people. When ever we travel my H brings it to trade.

We're big craft brew fans. My favorite is Southern Tier's Creme Brulee Imperial Stout. Good, strong, hearty dessert beer. Too bad it's seasonal

Yes! I was like 5 days post partum last year. I'm really looking forward to ours this year. Boo. It's on the date we were planning to have E's 1st birthday party. We can totally just have it there, right? Yes. Or you can just come here and go to ours.

I've loved everything from ballast point I've tried. It agree that it is super expensive though. We visited San Diego this spring and drank alllll the ballast point.

The problem with craft beer is that they are rarely widely available. So i might try something over here that you could never get your hands on, and vice versa. Having said that, I recently discovered that I love dark porters that have strong espresso/coffee notes. It's the best of both worlds: coffee + booze. I am always looking for recs. This is why I love stores like Total Wine; do you have that near you? They carry a lot of more obscure craft types that aren't often widely available. Like there's a Seattle-based brewer, Pyramid, that makes an apricot ale Mh loves, but we can only ever find it on the east coast at Total Wine. Sounds like my kinda place! But sadly, no, don't have that. Save

I also love a good sour. The only thing I don't actively seek out is IPA. I will drink them, but they aren't my fave.

We have this one 7-11 near us that for some reason has a kick ass craft beer selection.

My favorite ever is station 26 tangerine cream ale.
We had Denver brewing Co.'s grapefuit radler last weekend and it was delicious
Oberon is the perfect summer beer but we can't get it out here.
Lagunitas lil sumpin is hard to beat.

I'm in the minority that I do not like IPAs at all. However, I absolutely love good sour beers and most German style beers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk We would make excellent drinking buddies. I also love sours and German style beers and mostly dislike any and all IPAs.

Huge craft beer fan here! I think this is a great idea for a running thread! We just hosted a tasting party at our house last weekend. This weekend are visiting a nearby city to hit up a few new breweries in that area.

It's actually beer week in my town right now. I'm hoping to get to some events, but my kids cramp my style.
I like pale ales, bitters, and stouts.

There's literally only one I'll drink, and that's Cigar City's Jai Alai (we live about 2 hours from the Cigar City brewery so it's everywhere here). But that's only if there's no other beer around.

Also the Grapefruit Scuplin IPA is amazing. DD hunts out the Sculpin packs at ever beer store we go to. She gets super excited about it too. I love it.

I'm a huge craft beer fan, but I live in Vermont, so that's practically a given.

Do any of you use Untappd? It's been really helpful for me to keep track of what I've tried and loved or hated. Downloading. Thank you!

I also love the Apricot beer. They also have a great Hef called Haywire.

That's the one that tied to your location, right? Is it possible to shut that feature off and still use it? I never have the location on my phone turned on.

For IPA lovers, one of MH's favorites is Topcutter from Bale Breaker. He also loves their Imperial IPA called Bottomcutter. They also have a great blonde called Raging Ditch. They're out of Yakima, WA.
