I have to figure out who's going in which room first. But I hope to get some inspiration here!

We have this crib from the previous kids. We have matching dresser and bookshelf. We are going to put J and the new baby in the same room. I am not sure if we can find a matching color. It is a reddish brown. What would match this? J is not ready for a toddler bed, but I would be open to ideas. He would be 20 months. Alternatively, we could make this crib into a double bed for E. We have the mattress, bedding and conversion kit. I hate the current bed frame so I don't mind parting from it. The problem is that the dresser is cheap and has the changing pad on it. They problem with the dresser is cheap drawers which I could strengthen. The room we are moving the cribs into already has a built in bookshelf so the matching bookshelf is extra furniture and takes up space - likely not use it. We would then have to find two new cribs and a changing table. We could use her current dresser in there. It is a darker wood that is easier to match. I would eventually do bunks or twins in that room. TL/DR: Options: -Find matching crib for this. -Buy two new cribs and changing table.

I can post DD's nursery pictures from our last house when it was done to the nines. When we moved we didn't do much to put the decorations back up. Once I finish moving the rest of her stuff into her new room we'll get the nursery put together for number two.

Because I just ramble. I found a few cribs in a cherry that seem similar. That would be the cheapest option. There would be so much furniture if I had a dresser, bookshelf, chair and two cribs. I actually walked into the room and realized I could put the bookshelf in the closet. The closet is really big.
Also, my daughter is really upset about changing rooms so giving her the baby furniture would be another terrible blow.
Anyway... let's talk about themes. J's is nautical with lots of blues. We don't know the sex of the baby and are waiting. Should I split the room into two and make two themes or stick with one? He has a seashell wall hanging...so I could do something cute with a beach theme that complements.

Then after baby is born and you know the sex you can buy a few pieces in coral for a girl or beachy blue for a boy.

DS' theme is woodland creatures. He has cherry wood furniture. Blue walls. Baby's room is white and yellow. We are doing a stars and moon theme. I'll post a pic of the decor when I get home on Tuesday team green so we wanted something neutral.

So D is upset about switching rooms. Her current room is huge and would be better for two kids. I told her she could get more decor if she switched and make it a cool, big girl room. What did she want. An emoji pillow. Sold!
I am really excited about decorating now.

@thaygolfb we put those sane cloud shelves in DD new room. Target sells them so you don't have to make your own.

I saw these cute dinosaur themed pictures etc at Hobby Lobby so I really want to do like a bright colored dinosaur theme, but H thinks we just need to keep what we had with DS. Boo. I did just order a race car bed for DS's room so we can give the crib to the new kiddo. I'm excited for his stuff to get in so we can get his room put together. Here is the "race car" furniture I ordered for DS.

I think I found some on Amazon and added them to the baby registry for now. I wasn't planning to make my own lol. I wish I were that crafty.

Yay! Nurseries! Our style leans a little mid century modern. We are painting the wall the crib goes on similar to the geometric accent wall on the bottom left. But using the teal, gray, and white from the top left pic. The room is already gray. Our dresser is similar to the orange color and the dwell crib is on its way to us right now! We will do a gallery wall above the dresser. Sorry if the pic is huge! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Maybe number three some day.

thatgolfb, you're right. Your pictures reminded me. You're the one who gave me the idea for my shower theme. Oh, this reminds me! Kind of weird, but I had 3 friends have babies in the last year. I made the invites for each of their sprinkles and would be happy to share them for free if anyone needs invitations. Just the background image, then you/the host can add the appropriate informational text and print them wherever you please. I can post pics tomorrow, but the themes are "morning in the meadow," bright and bold cupcake w/sprinkle border, and an actual sprinkle of brunch items (that can be swapped for regular rain) w/boots and an umbrella.

Stars one of my friends from my first BMB made, sunrise painting done by my brother, stock image photos of the crib/changing table because we don't have them put together yet, and 3 pictures that will go on the wall by the crib. I'm going to get painted gray frames for them. The room is white and light yellow.

I love dinosaurs and thought about it for DD's big girl room. But went with something a bit less themed.

I'm doing a winnie the pooh themed nursery for ds. I'm really excited about it! We move into our new house this weekend so I can get started now.
