My ikea furniture is being delivered tomorrow! (I think I probably said this already somewhere). I'm looking forward to seeing how it all fits in the room. Then we can move on to decor. We'll need some artwork for the walls, definitely.

Oh well. It happens that's actually a good idea! We're trying to figure out room situations. We're putting an addition on the house that will end up being ds1s bedroom but that won't happen for another 6mos-year. We were considering rooming the older 2 together in the meantime but putting baby in a closet might be better. I'm gonna talk to H about it!

The closet idea is a go! We measured it out and it works so perfectly. We have a huge closet and a lot of space in our bedroom to add a dresser for our displaced clothes. I'm so relieved. This saves us so much money and time, since the older 2 won't have to bunk I don't have to buy new furniture or anything. Phew! We will buy a mini crib instead of an average size one. Anyone have any tips for the mini versions? Eta I'm happy you posted your plan cdnfarmgirl Thanks!

We're decided on elephants as our theme. The walls will be yellow, with white furniture and gray bedding/chairs/accents.
We actually picked out our furniture today - only took 2 trips to decide (I can get indecisive because I like a lot of different styles). So relieved to have it knocked off the list. Now it's time to look at paint samples ...

I'm doing a winnie the pooh themed nursery for ds. I'm really excited about it! We move into our new house this weekend so I can get started now. This is our theme. I can take a picture tomorrow when DD wakes up. All three kids will have used it

Yes. The stupid thing was given to DS by H's little cousins. Who received it from MIL. DS let DD in his room to play with it.

That theme is adorable pootsen. I'm going for an adventure/explore theme. I'm thinking sea salt for the walls and the below furniture. MIL thinks the furniture is too dark if it's a girl. I swear I can't win with that woman. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I snagged this on prime day. We have... a few white noise machines already. But... cloud theme! We haven't started on the nursery quite yet, but my mom is visiting at the end of the month and will help with DD's room. Mostly because she is bringing a laser level so we can accurately put up the polka dot decals. I am excited to start! Although, I am having an internal debate over something. We want to move DD to her new room, but in the event we have guests, the guests will use DD's new room (because queen bed). I know we will have lots of guests around when the baby is born and I don't want to disrupt DD. What I think we will do is get her new room ready but have the guests stay there, and do everything in the nursery except for replacing her twin bed with the crib. That way everything is ready, but she can still sleep in there in the twin. We won't use the crib for a few months anyway. Okay I just need to type that out apparently, but I feel confident in that decision.

We did something similar when transitioning DS to his big boy bed around Christmas, thatgolfb. We set it up in our spare room for guests before letting him use it himself. Then, after everyone left we put it in his room with his new bedding set.
