M will go to aftercare at the very least twice a week and he’ll just bus home on the days I don’t work. Our aftercare is paid by number of days. A full week is only $75, so that makes it about $15/day.
We are definitely saving well over $700 a month no matter how many days/week he goes.

It all depends on which streets have more kindergarteners and how to divide the bus routes evenly between am and pm. Gotcha. That makes sense. |

Our is about $700 less a month, granted camps are $350 and up for the summer, but I'm ignoring that fact for now...

Won’t you have to pay aftercare klong11? Our payment is going to be $70 less a week. He is doing after care. I have plans to automatically divert that to savings. I hope I stick to that! Our before and after care is $50/we for 4-5 days before And like 200/month. Plus an extra $8 on early dismissal days. And people here who haven't done daycare think it's a lot. I do need to increase the savings autodeposit And today we made our final child support payment! |

I got an email from the principal with lots of good info. I can see who H’s teacher is online next wed! I’m excited to see. The nice thing is that I got a text from the school telling me that an email was sent, so they definitely want to keep everyone informed.

I actually think B is on the verge of giving up naps too, which on the one hand is great b/c I don't need to be home mid day, but on the other time... I will miss that quiet time, and that one on one time with S. |

His day is 1:08-3:45 First day is August 26th and last day is May 28th. But I'm sure that will be later with snow days added in. wow that seems so short! He's going to be at the sitter when he's not at school, right? So will he get bused to/from there? Or your house? You can only have one address for the bus. So it's the sitters. I'll drop him off on my days and then pick him up from the bus at her house. If I pick him up at school I would have to lug J and MJ in with me to sign him out. |

I’m really surprised they don’t try to accommodate preference before simply assigning. People’s lives and schedules are so complicated with work and aftercare and daycare and babysitters and kids going to other schools that it seems like a real challenge to make a p.m. drop off work for many people. |

I’m really surprised they don’t try to accommodate preference before simply assigning. People’s lives and schedules are so complicated with work and aftercare and daycare and babysitters and kids going to other schools that it seems like a real challenge to make a p.m. drop off work for many people. Really hoping it's all day by the time J goes in 3 years.. |

Evie didn't get the kindergarten teacher I had. She was bummed, but we looked up her teachers profile and she seems very sweet. Meet the teacher is the 12th.

We got E's class assignment today. He got the teacher and class we were hoping for. 2 other boys vroom the neighborhood and 2 other kids from daycare. There are 22 kids with 14 boys. They will have the same class group for K and 1st because they mix together for part of each day.

I swung by the school the other day and talked with the preschool director. J from lo’s preschool class just registered for kindergarten at the school. They didn’t get into the other private school. Now we have another year with this kid. 😞
