I'm REALLY REALLY torn between Liz and Kamala for my favorite. I love them both for very different reasons.
Following right behind is Julian and Pete.

I liked him already but Castro earned big, big points the other night. Warren and Harris are tops for me right now, I can't separate them yet, with Julian close behind. I'm going to watch some more of what I missed last night but I'm unpleasantly surprised-not surprised that the white men became shouty so quickly.

Still true this morning. 1st) Kamala & Liz 3rd) Castro 4th) Buttigieg 5th) Booker 6th) Gillibrand 7th) Klobuchar I'd like to see Inslee do well because we need his voice on climate. The rest I don't care about.

Then, if (please please please please please please please please) the Democrat wins, he is made head of the EPA/Energy Secretary. What he has to say is so important.

1)Kamala 2)Warren 3)Castro 4)Buttigieg
I'd like to hear more from Inslee regarding climate and would love to see him on a dem cabinet. I think Gillibrand brings a lot to the table and would like her to hang in there for awhile.
I am wondering if Pete could run to flip a Senate seat? He would be great in that position, which could give him some more experience for a future presidential bid.
If I had to choose today, I'd pick a Harris/Castro ticket.
The one thing I have taken away from these debates is that I think no matter who wins the nomination they will be leaps and bounds better than our current president. That's comforting. I can't let myself even think that he will be elected again. I just cannot.

I think many of the candidates, minus Gabbard/Williamson/Sanders/Biden, would make excellent cabinet members. I see a passion, whether it be climate change, racial injustice, immigration, gun control, or women’s rights, in the rest that makes me hopeful for our future.

I’m not entertaining Williamson as a candidate in my mind because what in the hell was last night. Girl, bye.

Man, the difference between the two parties is just so stunning: CNN had a (bad) clip of them Kirsten and Kamala are standing right next to each other.
And I think it gets lost that the fact is they are still current senators and have power to at least attempt to change things immediately. (same with Warren). I mean it might mean locking the turtle in a closet to get something done, but the very thin illusion exists.

Current list: 1) Harris 2) Warren 3) Castro 4) Buttigieg (he is a close 3b) 5) Gillibrand/Booker tie (I don't love either for president and am frustrated with them both for different reasons but wanted to still make sure they were included on my list)
People I would like to remain in for a while to hear more but don't make my list: Swalwell Inslee Klobuchar O'Rourke
Go away right now: Williamson Gabbard White guys whose names on I see on the list but have ZERO idea who they are (Steve Bullock, Mike Gravel, Joe Sestak)
Dream ticket, as of now (I reserve the right to change my mind a billion times still): Harris/Castro But I would also not be disappointed with a Harris/Buttigieg ticket

Man, the difference between the two parties is just so stunning: This is a solid reminder to me of why we have to fight like absolute hell to make sure we, as Dems, come out on top in 2020.

I'm sure nobody's surprised that I'm still very #YesWeKam but I'm really not sure who to look to as VP. Do we try to soften the "cop" angle or do we try to have a moderating more centrist influence?
Harris/Klobuchar could be a really interesting ticket but there's no waaaayyyyyy a two-woman ticket wins in the current climate. And they're both prosecutors which....will not work.

I didn't watch and haven't even scrolled for hot takes other than here, but so far I'm beyond thrilled that no one is crowning Biden the winner. That seems like a huge step.

I did a couple of donations this morning. A first time to Warrens campaign, seconds to Harris and Castro. Hers is the ONLY one I've gotten a text message from immediately thanking me for my (tiny) donation.

I’m not entertaining Williamson as a candidate in my mind because what in the hell was last night. Girl, bye. WaPo had an article popping up on my FB that had the headline "Marianne Williamson went from a relatively unknown contender to one of the event’s most memorable people." WTF. NO. Maybe add in Memorable for all the wrong reasons!?

I still have some things I need to sort out with Warren and Harris, but clearly they are the front runners right now. They are focused, driven, experienced, and have GOOD policies that will help the middle class. So, based on that alone I would go and cast my vote for either of them if the Election were tomorrow. But, since it's still 8,000 days away, I am trying to just sit back and take it all in.
I am so happy Castro had a great debate, and I really hope he can stay in for a while because I have always looked up to him. He deserves to be here. I really like him.

I wish my kids would have let me listen better. I wasn’t able to hear much from Castro so he isn’t as high on my list as some of yours.
1. Harris/Warren 3. Buttigieg
I think Pete surprised me some with how well he came off since he doesn’t have the same political experience as the majority of the others.

No. He definitely still thinks he is the savior for the party. Eye roll for years.
