The Dem group from the suburb we are likely moving into later this year is having their annual picnic on Wednesday. Kamala and Amy are going to be speaking. I am working on a way to get out of work early and get my kids so we can make it down there. Kamala is also hosting a town hall that evening but I don't think we can make it to both. I'd like to see Amy speak too so I am hoping we can get it figured out to get to the picnic.

It's almost as if Biden is showing his true colors to appeal to all those 2016 Trump voters he thinks are so important to win back 🤔. At this point, he's making these shitty comments multiple times a week. No thank you. We can clearly do MUCH better. Nah. He’s been problematic since the 70s, we (the global we/Democrats) just glossed over it. I agree. It's just the fact that he's not trying to do better right now. I guess I naively thought he would be told to. Which is fine, because now we know he has no intention of changing his mindset or beliefs.

2016 gave me so many trust issues but I like seeing results like this at any rate. Team trust no poll.

Has anyone else seen the Biden comments about how they don't CARE what he did in the 70s? Because my head is going to explode

I can’t tell what is more infuriating those or the “be nice to Biden” comments. It must be so great to be a white male in America. People will bend over backwards to make sure you get your place on that pedestal.

you know, for all her talk about love, Marianne Williamson was just about the only candidate NOT to denounce the racist attacks on Kamala

I just got a survey from the Biden campaign asking me my favorite moment from the debate. ......... So I said, "When Kamala handed Joe his own whole entire ass" Ha, I took that poll too and basically said the same thing.

She’s doing a 4th of July bbq in Council Bluffs, and I was so sad that I don’t still live over that way because I totally would have gone!

I told my 3.5 yo this morning that we were going to a picnic tomorrow to meet someone that could be our next president and taught him how to say Kamala Harris, and also President Harris . He is very aware of our current political situation and told me "Mom, Mr. Trump is a really bad president. I think we should just call him Donald." He knows that we don't refer to him as President and I guess it stuck. But my heart broke a little that my 3.5 yo has to experience this.

so Pete raised 24m in 2nd quarter and Bernie only raised 18m. Bidens camp is saying they surpassed expectations.
It will be interesting to see the other numbers.
(not to bring it down but 45/RNC raised 105 million)
We need this field to narrow down.

Also Warren at 14% and Sanders dropping to 4th with 13%

I cannot read Spanish, so the article isn't much help. I know he won't be the candidate but I really like him as VP or in an important cabinet position.

There is no way America is ready for a ticket with two people of color, or two women. We're not even ready for one woman. Fuck I just depressed myself.

Reading this reminded me how much I hate a fucking caucus. The Nebraska Democratic Party just switched back to a regular primary because so many people hated the caucus. And FFTC: I didn’t vote in the 2016 primary because of it. I just don’t understand, logistically, how most people can make it work. I don’t have time (or childcare) for that shit. The only way I could even vote in the general was because my polling place was a library and they read to my kids while I frantically filled in circles like my hair was on fire. Such an obstacle to voting, IMO.

I went to caucuses and dropped my vote in for every primary before but I didn’t stick around for hours to listen to people with time on their hands argue about candidates.

I can't imagine this will go over well for him. "Booker returns pharma executive's money after he claimed he hadn't accepted any" "After ABC News reported on those donations as part of its debate fact checking, the Booker campaign told ABC News that they have decided to return a $2,800 donation from Eagle Pharmaceutical Executive Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer Michael Cordera. A Booker campaign aide added that the campaign had accepted the donation from Cordera because he had listed his occupation as an "attorney," which the campaign didn't initially consider as an executive, but decided to return the donation after ABC News pointed out that his occupation was "chief compliance officer." abcnews.go.com/Politics/booker-returns-pharma-executives-money-claimed-accepted/story?id=64087776&cid=clicksource_4380645_null_headlines_hed

Can I caucus on the R side and get a chance to throw a ball at 45's head?

Can I caucus on the R side and get a chance to throw a ball at 45's head? I dont think you need a caucus for that.
I'm not entirely sure Secret Service would stop you either.
