Ugh I'm freaking out. We are covered for health insurance under DH's work. He got an email this morning saying our coverage had been cancelled and sent HR an email basically asking WTF. I guess they switched providers to save costs at the last minute and didn't tell anyone. Now I have no idea who my coverage is through, what my coverage is, and I'm pretty sure I just lost everything I had paid toward my deductible for the year. I typically pay $5-7K OOP for births, so every little bit helps and I was so excited to have most of the appointments for this baby be in the same calendar year 😭😭

peachesncream That seems really unprofessional! DH's last job did this and they did a whole seminar on what was covered on the new plan. We were still not impressed at all, but at least we're in Canada and things aren't so expensive.

Thanks guys. We are waiting to see how it all shakes out, the switch is made but it sounds like there will be a pseudo open enrollment period coming later this month or next month if we want to switch plans. I think our deductible is lost, but DH said it was only $500-ish that we had paid OOP so far this year. It sucks either way, but oh well. I guess a benefit is that maybe we can opt for a higher monthly cost/lower deductible and only have to pay the higher amount through open enrollment at the end of this year if they still plan on having one.

You know, I’m really starting to dislike the end of pregnancy and all the concerning symptoms that pop up. I am already on the lookout for signs of liver problems because of past complications, I have to worry about GD now and the 3 hour test. And my H is complaining that I’ve started snoring. So of course I look that up, and it could be a sign of high blood pressure. It’s enough to worry about! I guess I’m over it ☹️

I’m sorry robinanne. 🤞🏻 that nothing major happens. I can relate to higher anxiety.. mine is more logistical anxiety but it’s getting old feeling worried all the time.

Anyone have Mother's Day plans? DH works and then we were just planning on a quiet family night at home but MIL texted and wants to do a family dinner 🙄 wrangling 3 kids 4 and under at a restaurant ranks on my top ten list of worst things ever, so that should be fun. Let me live vicariously!!

My inlaws are incapable of normal conversation related to pregnancy lol. They always open by asking if my due date is changed. Um, no. They set that at the dating ultrasound and it never changes. Unless you're like my SIL and don't know you're pregnant until month 4 or 5, then it tends to jump around a bit.
Then the next question is always "how are you doing with not finding out the gender?" Ummm... fine. It never really crosses my mind to be honest. One less thing to worry about. And this is not our first rodeo, we were team green with DD2 🙄 they just annoy me for no good reason. The only reason they ask is because SIL and BIL have everything crossed that we're not having a boy, they are determined to keep popping out kids until they have the first grandson of the family. So dumb.

peachesncream How many kids do your BIL & SIL have? Ours had the first grandchild and we had the second but first girl and on my side we had the first, my sister had the second but first boy. So not very long running competitions.

So not very long running competitions. This baby will be our 4th, BIL and SIL have 2 girls together. SIL has a son from a previous relationship that she has custody of most of the time but BIL doesn't regard him as his own, which is another reason it drives me nuts. I feel bad for her little boy :-(

I do indeed have to go back to do the 3 hour GD test on Wednesday. Apparently I failed by 6 points, not 1. Send me the good vibes for passing this time around!

Good luck tomorrow friendofdobby!! FX you pass!! I just got home from a concert. I was on my feet for 3 hours and my back pain was at like a 7 the whole time. I just about cried. I feel so old 🤣 I'm at home foam rolling my back and icing my lady bits because pregnancy is super glamorous.

Google tells me that means I passed overall but awaiting a call back from doc. Sorry you’re hurting today! I hope music was good and you’re feeling better now. I really really want to see Queen in late July but have decided that at about 36 weeks pregnant and concert being 2+ hours away that it’s prob not a good idea. 😕

Anyone else getting weight gain comments? It’s amazing that people feel it’s acceptable to ask how much weight I’ve gained and then comment on it! 🤦🏼♀️

It’s amazing that people feel it’s acceptable to ask how much weight I’ve gained and then comment on it! 🤦🏼♀️ I've been asked multiple times if I'm sure there is just one baby. Or if my due date is wrong. I'm really swollen and uncomfortable and kind of want to punch everyone who comments.

I've just started lying about my due date. If people I don't know ask me I just say "any day now". With people I know I make the first comment about how huge I feel this time around and then that doesn't really leave them room to say anything besides complementary things;)

Does anyone have any big weekend plans? I think it is supposed to be rainy here so I need to come up with some fun indoor activities for my kiddos. I start classes next week so I am trying to enjoy my last stress-free week with them.

I don't think it's ever safe to comment on a woman's bump. Last time I measured behind and I remember the look a sales clerk gave me when I said I was 6 months. Mentally I was like "I know how pregnant I am, thank you!" Being called tiny last time upset me since I had to have multiple u/s for it. However - One Mom of 3 I see at the library has told me I look amazing multiple times, that I like. sammysam: Smart lol. I was talking to my belly dancing teacher (she had a baby last year) about pregnancy and basically anything I said about my weight gain got me a compliment, haha!
