peggyhill Yay! How fun! When I found out I was having a boy with my son, everyone just went out of their way to tell me about the special relationships moms have with their sons. My little guy is the absolute sweetest little cuddle bug and we have so much fun together.

My little guy is the absolute sweetest little cuddle bug and we have so much fun together. All my coworkers and friends have said the same thing! I’m so happy to hear that, I hope I have that special connection with my boy! ❤️

I finally scheduled my first MFM appointment for the 26th and they said it would be 2 hrs long since I'm advanced maternal age. Goodness! I'll just be 12 weeks so not sure what they could do that would take that long. Maybe a glucose test? But then I think they would have told me to fast.

It takes about an hour for the scan, a half hour wait prior, and another half hour wait between the scan and meeting with the MFM. 2 hours was a good day, though... there were times I was there for 4 because they were so backed up

Ugh. They won't refill my Diclegis for about another 10 days but will refill the Reglen and I can definitely say the latter doesn't work half as well. It's like I'm suddenly back around 6 weeks and am super nauseated and throwing up. I didn't realize how impactful the Diclegis was 😔

I’ve finally found something I can drink with out vomiting! I’ve tried iced tea, water, fruit infused water, Powerade, Gatorade, lemonade...FRESCA FOR THE WIN!
Is first trimester over yet?

I think my boobs grew overnight. I’ve been nursing DD only on one side for a few months now and they were very lopsided, but now they are the same size and very plump lol.

I couldn't stop getting sick this morning so I called my Dr to see if they could do anything and they said they could give me Diclegis samples, which is awesome. However, they failed to mention that they close at 11:30 on Fridays (who only stays open for 2.5 hours on Friday?!) so I show up an hour later after finally feeling myself off the couch and throwing a bra on.
I drove away, calling my husband (who's out of town) in tears because they don't open again until Monday and I can't solo parent that long while throwing up several times a day so he calls the pharmacy and they're like, "Well, we can give you a 10 day supply for $$$$$" (at which point I'm like, damn, thank goodness for insurance when it actually covers the price!) but desperate times, man. No Amazon shopping for me for a little while.
All that to say, has anyone else noticed their m/s getting worse at around 12 weeks or is this just my meds debacle?

That makes me so mad you had to pay extra just to get relief.

midna ugh, I'm sorry! MS is truly awful when it's so relenting. It's lasted varying lengths with my other pregnancies so I was feeling a bit optimistic thinking it would settle down by now but apparently not. It also sucks that there are all of these meds options but none seem to work overly well! I'm sure any that would wipe out the sickness would probably be harmful.

Typical of our health system, isn't it? (Not trying to start anything political but my husband is a T1 diabetic so we deal with this nonsense a lot more than we'd like!)

Yeah, it's crazy how much health care costs!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Went for a hike with dh and the kids and then have been buried in laundry.

When H and I packed for our move last summer, we were in a hurry and insanely busy with his graduation, J turning 1yo, etc, and somehow packed the vast majority of my maternity clothes in boxes we stored for the year in a UHaul UBox. <facepalm> We were debating if it was worth it to have them pull the box and go looking for them (we think we vacuum sealed most of them together). Then I realized my pregnancy pillow is in there. And it's really a ton of clothes I would have to replace when we're trying to be better about our spending. So we're going to have them pull it in a couple weeks and go looking. Hopefully it's not an insane endeavor! Our movers also want an exact inventory of what's in there for their quote (and we stupidly did not write it down at the time) so it's not a total waste of time. But ugh.

Just like with the last pregnancy, the top half of my stomach (above the belly button) is poking out. I've got flab/fat in that area so it's all squishy and not a bump at this point, but starting to sorta look like one. And it makes me think I'm going to get diastasis recti again. Ugh.

marshian boo! Hopefully you can find all the clothes and pillow soon and without too much hassle. I think I'll need my pregnancy pillow in the next couple weeks.

That sounds like a nightmare marshian. Hopefully, it's not hard to find. Earlier this year, I lent my SIL all my good maternity clothes, and she's due this week! I haven't asked for them back yet bc we aren't telling our family until after the 12 week ultrasound. And then I'll feel bad making her ship them to me since she'll have a newborn.

My sister and I have swapped maternity clothes back and forth over the last 5ish years. I think some of them may need to retire. This would be most of the clothes' 5th pregnancy and the stretch doesn't seem very stretchy anymore. Anybody have maternity work pants they love? Preferably over belly?

I usually use motherhood and maternity or Kohl's for maternity work pants, both with over the belly options. Some Kohl's have better selection than others

I ended up using belly bands over my regular work pants for a long time, then switching to skirts and dresses when it was warm enough.

I just had to tell my AP about my pregnancy even though I haven't officially told my principal yet and I wasn't really ready to tell anyone until after our appt next week. She's trying to make me sit in with the students at graduation in June (where it is always about a million degrees in the direct sunlight and completely miserable) and I needed to play the pregnancy card to try to get an easier job.

Anyone else a stomach sleeper? I love sleeping on my stomach and I feel like my days are numbered. I can feel myself slowly angling.

I think I got my over the belly black slacks from Target. I haven't pulled them out yet to check the brand but I remember being annoyed that they were right there at Target when I was looking all over for them.

I'm a side sleeper but I tried laying on my stomach yesterday so that I could get one of my kids to walk on back (yassss) and I noticed some discomfort already. The days of having the kids help relieve back pain are numbered.
