I'm really bad about following the food rules. After my nurse intake appointment with DS1, I went straight to my favorite sushi place and order lunch. I try to heat my lunch meat because H is more paranoid about it but I'll have no issues having a cold sandwich if they have Panera at work. I also take sips of H's beer sometimes.

Especially post DST. They need to quit it with the time changes. Arizona has the right idea.

I bought 3 cases of leinenkugel’s winter porter about 15 minutes before I was holding a BFP. It’s now sitting in my garage just begging to be drank 😂 it’s my post baby stash haha

No judgement from me! I no longer eat meat, but when I did I would eat cold lunch meat sandwiches at a local deli and raw sushi when I was pregnant with DS1. My husband is not drinking this pregnancy, but prior pregnancies he'd pour me a small cup of beer.

cmb I have a dogfish 120 IPA (like 18%) in the fridge for post baby. Cannot wait. I love the winter porter, and it sells out fast around here, so I try to get a few cases each winter and pace it out. Got home that night, tested on a whim thinking it’d be negative (I had what I thought was line eye with a cheapie), and I could drink whatever had weekend. Ha. Haha. Joke was on me with that thought process. Alas, 3 cases will be waiting for me the moment we get home.

I want a tall glass of beer so bad! My birthday is going to suck this year. I'll probably have a very small cup of Guinness with dinner though.

I am all about the flexibility with eating too. If I want a deli meat sandwich, I'm going to eat one. I did reduce the amount of coffee I am drinking, but that's mostly because it makes me sick sometimes. A sip of beer or wine here and there isn't going to be the worst thing ever.
I will probably let myself have a small glass of my favorite wine on my birthday though (June).

I'm also pretty breezy. Last time I had no problem with the occasional small glass of wine in theory, but I let myself have one and it gave me the worst heartburn of my whole life that lasted for 3 days. So THAT was the reason I had no wine at all.

I am super paranoid about the food restrictions, lol. No lunch meat or sushi (which is the saddest for me), but I also don't eat prepared salads with all the stuff in the news previously about contaminated lettuce. I know I'm being crazy, but it makes me less anxious. I can't wait to eat all the sushi after I deliver.
Not restriction-related, but chocolate is my number one dessert of all time, and for this pregnancy, I have a major aversion to it. It tastes like garbage to me now. I had a huge aversion to rotisserie chicken in my first pregnancy and still don't eat it, so this might be it for my love of chocolate.

So I still haven't heard from the high risk Dr today for my NT results and it's been a week so I called my ob and asked for their # since I wasn't sure which office it was. Well it turns out they already have me on the schedule for the 27th. Way to call and check with me to see if I can even make that! But I can so it's not a big deal. Just annoying and think they aren't very well organized.

I am also pretty breezy about the food/drink dos and don’ts. I drink anywhere from 0-2 caffeinated drinks a day, pretty much no food is off limits. I will have an occasional sip of DH’s beer or wine after first tri, particularly summer beers or ciders, they are my weakness

TW
So, I'm in a low-grade panic today because my symptoms have all but gone away over the past 2 days. I was exhausted yesterday, but that was because of DST and the terrible night of sleep I had. But both yesterday and today I have had no real nausea and no boob soreness, which are the things I have been feeling on a huge scale since the beginning. (I'm 9w2d)
I had a MMC over the summer and my symptoms really just stopped right around the point the baby stopped developing. I didn't realize it at the time because I thought it was just the natural progression of the symptoms, but once I found out about the timing I realized what happened.
I actually had a dream on Sunday night that I lost the baby. And now all my symptoms seem gone. No blood or spotting or cramps or anything, but after having a MMC, I don't really trust that anyway.
What can I do? I have an appt scheduled on 3/26. Do I have to just wait? Can I call and get in because I have a "bad feeling"? Should I try to get a fetal doppler? I really don't know how to make myself feel ok about this right now.

stayingblonde I don’t know the right answer, or what your doctor would do, but given your history I think it’s worth a call. First trimester is the worst. Hope you get some reassurance soon.

stayingblonde I would definitely give your Dr a call and see if they can't get you in early or do something to help check in. It's worth a shot. I hope they can squeeze you in asap.

Big hugs stayingblonde. mmcs are the worst and really play with your mind. Symptoms can come and go, but like others said I think you should call your doctor and see if they can fit you in before the 26th for peace of mind. I would not get a Doppler at this stage bc at 9w the heartbeat would be hard to find anyway and might increase anxiety more. Hoping everything is okay and the Dr can fit you in.

stayingblonde I had exactly the same thing happen this time around at around 9 weeks also. Nausea and boob soreness disappeared over night. Completely gone. I was in tears in the shower because I was certain it would be a repeat of the last 2 times. Luckily I had an US scheduled for a few days later so got to see baby. But I was convinced of the worst. My symptoms came back with a vengeance around 10 weeks. There were a few weeks off and on where my symptoms just disappeared before coming back. You saw baby last week with a strong HB. Symptoms come and go at this stage. I am certain everything is fine. Also I do not recommend getting a doppler. I made that mistake. I used it once at like 14 weeks, wasn't sure it was the HB I was hearing, and ended up more stressed than ever. If you do think one would help then PM me and I'll mail you mine. It's brand new and I only used it once. I don't want you spending money on one if you want one. I still freak out if baby doesn't move for a few hours. I am constantly convinced of the worst. I expect bad news at every appointment. It gets a little easier when you start feeling consistent movement...but I have an anterior placenta again so for me that wasn't until around 23 weeks and I still panic if I can't feel her for a few hours. The wait between appointments for me is nightmarish. But please try not to panic...Impossible I know. But try. I am sure baby is perfect. If you are really worried call your doctor and ask for a scan. They should be accommodating. But I am sure everything is fine.

sammysam OMG thank you for your reply. I honestly cried when I read it. It's crazy that your symptoms went around right at the same time I'm at right now...I do feel like we've been on a bit of a twin journey, so it really does make me feel better to hear from you. ❤️

Thank you all for your reassuance and love. I talked with MH and we're going to wait a couple of days to see how I feel before calling the dr. I'm starting to get a cold and I'm just kind of worn out, so sympoms could just be taking a back seat for the time being. I'm so paranoid and love to blow everything out of proportion, so hopefully it's nothing.

stayingblonde my symptoms started to disappear around 9 weeks as well—remember this is the time the placenta starts to take over so your body isn’t going as nuts with hormones. I also echo not getting a Doppler—I never got one bc I was certain my poor skills using it (docs make it look easy bc they do it all day everyday but it’s not!) would send me in a panic more than give me comfort. 9 is a bit early but my doc was able to hear the heartbeat with the office Doppler at this time. By 10, I bet they definitely could find it—if you are still freaked out next week, maybe ask to come in for a Doppler check? I’ve done that before when I’ve gotten myself into a tizzy in my other pregnancies and most nurses were more than happy to spend 5 minutes to put me at ease.

stayingblonde I am stalking you constantly and sending you all the love. PGAL is the worst. Especially with MMCs. With this one I found that starting around 9 weeks my symptoms would disappear every 2 to 3 weeks for a few days. Once I got used to the cycle it got marginally easier to deal with. My OB also had trouble finding the HB on a doppler at 16 weeks...so don't be too worried if it takes a while to find at appointments. PM me ANYTIME because I totally get it.
