DD is 4 months old today! She looks so much different than dd1 did at 4 months. Also my hair has started falling out by the handfuls. Thankfully I have a lot of hair so I don't mind for it to thin out a bit.

tbirdlove I feel like I'm "missing" a lot of dd2's milestones because I'm just trying to survive and keep both kids alive most of the time. Just in the past few weeks though I feel like I'm kind of coming out of a fog and have been able to enjoy dd2 more and have been taking more pictures, videos, etc.

Big hugs.
It's so much harder to really watch for all the little new things babies do with a toddler on hand already.

It was one year ago yesterday that we DTD that created DD. Crazy to think of all that's come to pass since then.

Well, DD is sick now too π£ She's all phlegmy and coughing. No fever (yet?), thankfully.
If she starts having a hard time nursing today should I pump or anything to help keep up supply? I don't think I've ever dealt with a sick baby so young. DS was rarely sick as a baby.
DS's fever stayed down over night finally, so hopefully the worst has passed for him.

When DS2 had his cold in November I did not pump. I did everything I could to keep his nose clear and just nursed. He spit up a lot but it helped clear the phlem from his chest/throat so I just kept an extra burp cloth on hand and offered boob more frequently.

Anybody do anything fun tonight? We have no babysitter and I can't leave DD all night still so we are staying home. Friends were going to come over but they bailed so we are just by ourselves tonight π

Thanks - so far she hasn't had any issues nursing so we're doing good there. And yes - so much extra spit up! Poor thing sounds so awful. She started getting a bit of a fever this evening. Hopefully Tylenol will keep it down.

brenna we were going to go to an annual NYE party with some friends. It's family friendly these years π We've taken DS the past two years and were gonna take them both this year. Unfortunately we had to cancel last minute because both kids are sick. I'm bummed. This is the first year of my adult life not doing anything on NYE! #parenthood

My DD fell asleep at 6:30 and wouldn't wake up so we had to cancel the fireworks and count down we go to for kids at 8pm. Such a bummer.

Happy New year! I missed the ball drop because DS2 spit up on my shirt twice in a row with 30 seconds left to go. It was so much and we were at a friend's house so I couldn't change. 2019 is starting out great π

I was in bed by 9:30 last night. Life of the party here!
Dd2 has graduated from the swaddle! She flails around a lot but she kept getting frustrated with getting her hand stuck by her face so we just had to go with it.
Dd1 has been a whiney mess all day. Her behavior is always way worse when DH is home. She wants him to do everything and freaks out if I try to do anything for her. I love having DH home, but it sucks that dd1 makes those days much harder.

I think I went to bed around 930 but I was up again at midnight with P when all the fireworks started. So I just had her sleep in the swing rather than being startled every 5 mins. People were still going with fireworks when she woke up at 3.
I think her belly is finally starting to feel better. I was getting stressed that something bigger was wrong and I have to go back to work.
I spent the day washing 6 month clothes and changing out her dresser. I cannot believe how much we have. Most was gifted to us with M. Itβs insane. But packing away all her old clothes is sad because she used to be so tiny, and we are all done.

Cheers to a New Year! Bittersweet being out of the calendar year in which our babies were born. I was also in bed early because we sleep when baby is sleeping.

We were up getting ready for bed and checking DD's temp a bit before midnight on NYE. Some fireworks woke DS, so we brought him in our room just before midnight. All four of us sat on our bed and watched the ball drop on MH's phone! Not how I had anticipated spending our night, but it will be memorable anyways π brenna we've had some major behavior issues with DS lately. He's still waking up crying all throughout the night, so his tiredness makes it all worse. akwild I've been working on washing all the 6 month clothes here too. It's always so bittersweet - I look forward to the new outfits, but I'm so sad at how fast she's growing.
